Agree ! Atlus ahould create a new persona game with female protagonist but in the same in universe with the other protagonist and not as an option unlike Hamuko. (I love Hamuko so much but it's sad seeing her the only one from different universe) We got five games with male protagonist and tbh i've had enough with that. Came back here because: 1. No FeMC in remake so I can't date Aki, Shinji, Theo or Ryoji... 2. Akihiko will have a new ENG VA which I have huge mixed feelings for. I'm sure Alejandro Saab will do a good job but I'll miss Liam O'Brien's performance. Especially the romance route. EDIT: Now that the game is out, I think Alejandro sounds good as Akihiko but I still think his voice is a bit too deep. Particularly during battle. It felt so jarring kinda. His normal talking voice is okay though.

You know what I hate? How things like this are only marketed towards the male audience more! I mean.. Persona 4 and 5 would have had the best female side options but instead, the Devs decided to do the usual, "target the male audience". Like I get it, the game would be twice as large with all the new assets...but it sucks that, while they made p3p special in this case, they didn't continue over to the newer gen games. The game gives you more reasons to replay it.
I fully agree! They had the chance to have at least a mini femc route in persona 5 royal with kasumi. Considering that you have to play the entire game again to get the extra content, it would have been really cool if they would have let you play as her for that one bonus section at the end even if you don't get any social stuff. She just felt like an unnecessary add-on otherwise since she didn't add anything new to the story unlike characters in other personas like marie from 4. Funny how dating your teacher is cool but adding another female route isn't worth it to atlus lol(and I know it would be a lot of work and take more time but id rather wait if it was for soemthing like that)
Right? The PSP version is an otome. And Persona has always been a party-based RPG with romances. Literally Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Baldur's Gate 3, games with huge female audiences. They would make more money by adding a female MC option immediately
There's an extra scene with him isn't there? Once you max out his Social Link, you can choose to spend time with him or not on a Friday when he's at school. He invites you to his room and asks you to say something and I think if you pick "Um... Hello" He says something along the lines of "Let's let our bodies do the talking" .............

Even after so many years since I first played P3P, this boy can still make me fangirl over how cute and adorable he is! My first impressions of Akihiko were, okay to say the least. You know, the typical tough and aloof guy who is incapable of recognizing a girl's emotion. But after I went through his Social Link and saw this side of him, I became weak in the knees! This side of him was surprisingly cute and sweet that I fell for him right away! (This also applies to Shinji)

Seems like even the remaster still has the same bug, huh? If you miss even ONE of his love flags, your relationship with him will remain strictly platonic. Even after he asks you to be his girl in Rank 9. (Though I think him asking you out despite stuck in the platonic route is the bug.)

@@wasbimks You should check on google and there might be a dialogue that you mistaken. I think there are 3 dialogues with Aki that leads to romance him. I tried to remember most people were mistaken at the part about he's saying something about Junpei..

Yeah, happens to a lot of us. Almost all the time its in Rank 4 where you have to say “Don’t get the wrong idea, Senpai” to activate the lovers path for him.
You probably missed one of his lover flags which is a common mistake for people who’re aiming romance him. You can’t miss even a single one because he’ll still friendzone you, regardless after asking you out. Here’re the flags (Choose these options when they show up): Rank 4: “Don’t get the wrong idea, Senpai.” Rank 6: “You’re charming.” Rank 9: “You’re in love.”

Akihiko won't sound the same, but he won't sound terrible from what I've seen, bearable at best. Everyone else sounds nice.

I get P5, but P4 doesn't work with a female main character. The whole point of P4 bases itself around Izanagi(Yu) and Izanami.
