  • Let's put a trolling motor on the Kayak! This is a great mod if you like fishing in your kayak. I made a wooden mount for a Minnkota Endura C2 30" transom mount trolling motor.
    Supplies for Mount:
I used spare wood, bolts, nuts and screws. But you'll need a 2x5, 1x4, 1x1 and a 2x4 pieces of wood or the equivalent.
    Yakattack MightMount XL 9" x2
    Yakattack GearTrac hardware assortment
    Eye hooks x2
    Paracord
    PWM (Pulse width modulation)
    Quick Disconnects
    Chair bottom covers
    Waterproof box
    Plastic Ammo Box
    Minnkota Endura C2 trolling motor
    Wiring
    12v battery
    Thanks for watching

Really cool! I’m thinking a side mount for mine. Just so I can adjust the height easier. I really like the rear mount though because the boat rides better.

Thanks for sharing. Why only use black and red wires? What whait and yellow wires are for? Thanks.

They’re for the factory speed controller.

@@superioradventures I wonder if the factory speed controller can be repurposed and mounted on a box next to you, in place of the separately purchased PWM you put in the waterproof case?

@@rudytamayo2646 yes, that would work. I use the PWM because it makes the battery last longer. If I have it on a low setting, it’s drawing less power. With the factory control, it’s pulling the same amount of power on low as it is in high.
