The same advice he has given before . Whatever applies to a pathological love relationship, applies to family members . Holding strong Boundaries, and if they are not respected , using the observe don’t absorb technique , or even going no contact . It all depends on the severity and harm you are part of .
I am surprised to know that this book just got released in May 2024 and that there hasn’t been more publicity . To be honest , I am kind of upset bc I was looking to read any other book from him other than the human magnet. Wanted to spent my 4 credits on audible on some life changing books and ended up settling for “ The human Magnet “ when I know I already know enough about personality disorders and why we get attracted to each other. Although “ The human magnet” is GREAT, I have already read hundreds of books on personality disorders, how to recognize them , what are they made of , etc.etc . I was looking for something that gives me an “ AHA“ moment of why I continue to attract / allow these type of people into my life even though I know all of this information. And yes ! That’s me . “ the cerebro codependent “ I’ve done it all in the hopes to “ fix” this prison of unhealthy relationships.
I was fear-bombed from the word go. Even was told a fictitious name at first. Early on he cheated on me...when I found out he held a gun to my head and raged at me. This makes a lot of sense. I stayed 50 years....6 yrs free. Finally love my life with my dogs. ❤❤

Codependency can come from abandonment, if your parents divorce and your dad leaves. It doesn't have to be a toxic parent . 😮
