A lot of people miss out on how special his stance in the ring was. He didn't completely face the boxer because he didn't need those extra two or three inches to be able to reach him with those long ass arms of his. That meant that he could come around with the powerful right without swinging from as far away and it would be on people before they could do anything about it. He's definitely a fighters fighter.
They say that canelo achieved a lot at age 31.
But hearns's achievements at age 29 already made him a legend .
Tommy Hearns was a beast. I know he lost to Leonard and Hagler. Be that as it may, he was one of the greatest fighter/boxers of all time... of any weight division. Sad Marvin is not with us anymore after taking the vaccine... athletes with the most strong and healthy hearts seem to suffer the worst adverse effects from that thing !!!
coming back to watch again. your hoost film study has greatly improved my kicking its great
Beautiful efficient effective yet simplistic boxing
A selection choice genius of a fighter.
You boxer breakdowns, profiles, insights and analysis are so thorough, well done and expertly narrated! Great Great work!!
Duran, Hearns, Sugar Ray & Hagler the club of the best boxers all times, thank you for share
I’ve been waiting for THIS
The best 1-2 in the history of boxing. At least of all the fighters I've ever seen. Blindingly fast and powerful.
How about a Carlos Monzon or Mike McCallum breakdown some time, great technique content and much appreciated:)
I grew up watching Tommy Hearns. He’s a legend here in Detroit.
Thomas "Hitman" "Motor City Cobra" Hearns, is my favorite boxer of all time. I was fortunate that my grandfather and dad kept a lot old film, and a lot of old The Ring magazines. Love his 2 fights with Leonard, his destruction of Duran, his win againts Virgil Hill, even when he lost to Hagler it was still a marvelous fight.
I am SO GLAD you did a video on the hit man!!! I hope you will do at least 1 more on him.
Tommy “the hitman” Hearns was an amazing fighter, the Kronk Gym and Detroit totally rocked the boxing world 👍🏻
