I like to: 1. get inspired by content such as yours❤make style fun again; 2. choose a single piece I'm feeling that day and build an outfit around it - if I'm dreading styling the piece, it's time to part ways with it
I would love to see more content like this from you, Christina. Even with a wardrobe as simple as yours, you really rocked the different images and made them yours. TFS!
I REALLY need this video today. I've dramatically decluttered my wardrobe and am having a hard time not wanting to shop and fill my closet back up again. Definitely gonna start working on my Pinterest game! Thanks for sharing!
I like the tip about searching for looks based on items you already own. It’s so simple but it has never occurred to me. Love the outfits you put together!
This was really, really helpful. I never thought to search for outfits with pieces that I already own. It’s so obvious but it’s something that I missed!
Being able to see my wardrobe is one of the best ways to solve the ‘nothing to wear’, also making sure it’s all hung up tidy and not creased. I have a fair amount of clothes but also I do wear most of the on rotation. My favourite part of the day is getting dressed lol xx
I definitely used to feel this way (particularly in the couple of years post-college, after I had to start dressing smart/business casual). I find it really helpful to maintain a smaller wardrobe with things that I LOVE. I've never been one to need a lot of variety anyway (I like to joke that I'm like a cartoon character that way--you know, when they open up their closet doors and there's the same outfit they're wearing in triplicate?). So I was usually only wearing the same favorites over and over again, and then it eventually clicked, like, why do I need TONS of stuff? What if, when I needed to replace or add something, I was ruthlessly picky about it so that EVERYTHING in my closet is a favorite? Game-changing, I tell you!
This is great, recently got a job where i no longer have the ease of chucking on a uniform but have to dress smarty but practically so deff need to have some combinations in mind, this is a great way to start
I love putting together outfits at the beginning of a new season similar to a capsule wardrobe. This helps me write down what I have, what ideas I have to put together outfits I love and then mix and match over the next couple of months. I love the reminder to focus on the clothing instead of the brand Christina!
Loved this video! Been shopping my own closet for the past 2 years! The checked blazer and boots…you need to wear that! That blazer is everything. Please enjoy it! Now time for me to play in my closet!
Me too but I already failed :( now trying to ruthlessly be picky about items I add to my closet, and also take her tip of shopping in my own closet! Good luck to you!
New subscriber from NYC! While I have been on a de-clutter and intentional living journey for about 2 years; I still struggle. Thank you for this video because it is needed!!
As an older person trying to empty out a huge closet and not buy more, to make use of so many great pieces I've forgotten or never even worn, THIS is a fabulous exercise. Thanks for the inspiration!
Brilliant video!!!! I loved that you search for a specific item to style so we can breathe a new life into them. I am pulling 4 good items out of my donation pile to see if I can save them from a possible landfill. Thank you!!!
I stumbled on your channel recently and I love your content so much. It really resonates with me in so many unexpected ways. My minimalism journey is also courtesy of Ronald L. Banks. I downsized my closet two months ago and to be quite honest I feel lighter having pieces that I only need, and most importantly, pieces that I actually wear on a daily basis. Your insight is refreshing and I'm loving it here.
I really like the way you think through simple, minimal design aesthetic. It is very difficult to to get the detail of this right. Really sophisticated and creative styling here and also practically applicable and wearable for others. Would seriously love a series like this and I would come back and will rewatch for the styling details.
We do not need to buy more clothes! But to recreate what we already have (which is no doubt much more than we need). A little bit of creativity is what it takes. Thanks Chris for making us see this!!! All what you say is so true!!! :)
Love this so much! I feel inspired and I also enjoy following along with some new style inspo. Shopping my closet always makes me feel so good and reminds me to turn inward and connect to the reason I was craving shopping. In the long run, it helps me make more intentional purchases.
Great video, it really inspired me - lately, I’ve been avoiding fashion on Pinterest and IG as I get triggered to spend. But if I challenge myself to find inspiration for styling on those platforms, I’ll get dressed better without spending!
really like that you mentioned taking time out to try on different outfits and familiarizing yourself with your wardrobe. it's really fun and is a great way to satisfy that craving to see newness from things you already have. you can discover new outfits or new ways to style each piece
This was super helpful for me. I’m inspired! I love fashion but have very little patience or know-how when it comes to pairing an outfit with SHOES. I get lost there. But since pairing down my wardrobe, I think it’s time to play in my closet as a fun project, rather than wait until it’s time to get “stressed dressed” in the morning.
Tip number two is stellar! I cannot emphasize with you enough… How important it is to make a board of pins with things you own! When I was first starting out restyling, I got an idea with a few things that worked and looked good on me to start a board around just those items. When I found things that really fit my lifestyle and style preference in those pins, I added those outfits to a “wish-thrift” board to focus on finding those pieces that would suit me. Along the way I might find a different style or fit but I already have an overall idea of how I’m going to style something I’m looking for. As I found those items, I moved the pins over into my style board. Some days when I get up and I’m just not inspired about what to wear, I scroll through that board for ideas because everything there are things I own and have in my closet. I am very picky about this! I’ll save some things that I can make my own variations with like the color of a belt or purse because I’m going for key elements of style. Alyssa Beltempo here has a wonderful channel around shopping your closet and breaking down outfits you are inspired by based on style! This has helped me dress faster and think of outfit combinations that I didn’t think to combine before. I also take time to try things on and even just lay them out on the bed and envision how they go together since I know how they fit my body already. Then I will try things on and create new outfits. I’ll take a picture and save that. I will also look at pins and try out outfits based on my inspiration to see if they really work with my clothing in my body. Usually they do! So I keep them. If they don’t, I delete them.
Love this video. I love how you shared the tip to search on pinterest with the pieces of clothing you already have - such a good idea. Thank you for sharing.
Love your videos! I love wearing simple outfits with extra jewelries, bags or shoes. I have a lot of basic stuff, like straight blue jeans, white t-shirts or black blazers and some interesting accessories, like colourful bags, shoes or statement necklaces, earrings. Pairing them helps me to dress interesting and professional at the same time and get ready within 5 minutes! ☺️
I think having fun with the things you already have and recreating outfits, altough they don't look exactly the same, is pretty fun. In addition, you probably have a new great outfit you have never thought about before.
Loved this video, and I hope to see more recreate outfit videos from you! We have a similar style and it's so great to see outfit inspiration for outfits that someone could actually wear around the house or out about town, while getting stuff done.
I often will use Pinterest to search up an ingredient (ex. lemons, kale, etc.) if I need inspiration on what to make for dinner, but I love the idea of doing this with specific wardrobe items too! LOVE shop your closet videos, thank you for this Christina! Edit: I also recently bought second hand cowboy boots, so I was SO excited to see how you style yours :)
For me the problem is having too many clothes, you forget what you have, I solved it by creating an actual inventory using an app, is a lengthy process but TOTALLY worth, you can save outfits and label them by occasion so everytime you go out you already know a lot of pre-made outfits
Another great video! I need to shop my closet. I have a ton of great pieces I never wear (thanks Covid) or only wear a certain way. Inspiration is key....
do more videos like this please!! (if u enjoyed it lol). definitely got me thinking of my clothes in a new way- especially helpful during a no buy time right now!
My husband knows my "nothing to wear" stance when he sees me standing in the closet . . . so I tell him "I have so many satisfying choices of what to wear, I just can't decide which one is best today!" I don't think he buys it, though. ;)
Also been checking that scandinavian style, that is nothing that I don't have in my closet, and get my husband's blazers, whish I love, and a vinni that will help me put my hair together with these «Santana winds» very common, usually on fall, and curently is cold, so a cozy vinny, can help put together my Tuesday outfit😎 wish is fine for any run erins to the store. Hey! It's chinese new year, and is the year of the Tiger! So, I'll dress with that festive atitude🐯
The outfit with the boots tucked in...you're giving me "equestrian teacher" realness. Western saddle, not english. It's totally a chic vibe and I love it!!
Love all the outfits! May I add: prepare what you want to wear the night before, I find it very fun and relaxing and it's a nice way to turn off any screen before going to bed 😁
How do you solve the “nothing to wear” problem? For me, taking action and re-creating outfits is my fave way!
I do the Project333 from Courtney Carver, and I love (!) that.
@@mimseyllamenberger2097 I loved soulful simplicity!
I try to get creative with pieces i dont wear much 🥰🤭❤
I like to: 1. get inspired by content such as yours❤make style fun again; 2. choose a single piece I'm feeling that day and build an outfit around it - if I'm dreading styling the piece, it's time to part ways with it
If I’m really stuck, I shop my spouse’s wardrobe. I just found a perfect black cotton button up in there (that he never wears)-it’s a whole new world.
I would love to see more content like this from you, Christina. Even with a wardrobe as simple as yours, you really rocked the different images and made them yours. TFS!
Yay! Coming up!

I forget too! It’s always a great reminder 🥰

Omg so glad! Have fun!!!

Please make this into a series! Its so refreshing😍
Planning what you’re going to wear the night before is also a great one
Came here to say the same. Hanging it all together with accessories makes the morning so much more peaceful.
This video reminds me so much of some of Alyssa Belltempo’s content. Fun to see you shop your closet too, Christina.
This idea is brilliant! Thank you so much. More shopping in the closet PLEASE, im trying to do a no-buy year 🙈🙉
Me too but I already failed :( now trying to ruthlessly be picky about items I add to my closet, and also take her tip of shopping in my own closet! Good luck to you!

Okay I’ve never related more to a video 😂 love these tips I’m definitely implementing them!

The French vibe with the black blazer was spot on. Thx for Canadian weather appropriate-ness and the reminder to shop your closet. 👍
You did a great job of recreating the outfits with your own spin 👌
Thank you Kathryn! Happy Sunday!
Brilliant video!!!! I loved that you search for a specific item to style so we can breathe a new life into them. I am pulling 4 good items out of my donation pile to see if I can save them from a possible landfill. Thank you!!!
These are my fav videos lately. Really helpful to prevent me from shopping and gets m to be creative

we sure are!
Outfit three was extremely flattering. Cool video
I love how your looks turned out, last one is my favorite. Can’t wait to try this myself!
Still working backwards (and loving it 😊). Also love the cowboy boot outfit!
I remember when jeans tucked into your boots was all the rage! Thanks for the inspo, Christina!
Love the french girl look, I'm a "only wear black" girl, love the trousers!
Great outfits and as always, your style is on point! I like your outfits better than the inspiration photos too! :)

Sounds like we have a very similar wardrobe! Love it!
I think having fun with the things you already have and recreating outfits, altough they don't look exactly the same, is pretty fun. In addition, you probably have a new great outfit you have never thought about before.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. Please do this again.
Great tips! Now that I’ve gotten more staple pieces and not just trendy stuff I think I can do better about piecing together what I already have.
Loved this video, and I hope to see more recreate outfit videos from you! We have a similar style and it's so great to see outfit inspiration for outfits that someone could actually wear around the house or out about town, while getting stuff done.
More content like this please!! all the outfit inspiration without the shopping temptations 🖤

I really loved this video concept! I’d watch way more of these if you enjoy making them. Keep up the great work!
You rocked every look. For the french vibe, aslo try that T neck. I would love to see. T neck is such quintessential item in French style.
I love these kinds of videos and think you nailed the looks! Great tips to try this trick to use our closets !
Yayyy so glad you enjoyed!
So helpful!!!! I’ve been working on my thyroid health and needed to hear your perspective. Thank you for sharing.

0:40 great transition move to introduce further into the topic.

My husband knows my "nothing to wear" stance when he sees me standing in the closet . . . so I tell him "I have so many satisfying choices of what to wear, I just can't decide which one is best today!" I don't think he buys it, though. ;)
I love this video, thank you! And you did a great job choosing your outfits
This is great reminder to use those pins… and of course those items in the closet:)
