The fact the Ukrainian airforce still exists is an embarrassment for Ruzzia.
They should have lasted a day, yet here they still are, kicking arse
not unlike the Ukrainian Navy....
@@afroaliens You mean that one Frigate they had, which they scuttled themselves....
@@afroaliensThis is just an embarrassing attempt. Yes, Ukraine has no navy apart from one scuttled frigate. Yet you don't say anything here about Russian naval losses in the black sea. Curious.
Soon you will be saying "the fact ukraine still has soldiers is an embarrassment for RuZziA"
Cope harder nafo
@@danielmerhi4456 Well yes, it actually is. What ever happened to the 3-day special military operation? You vatniks have really lost some steam ever since that 3-day Blitzkrieg entered its third year.
Despite half a year of no support from the US (thanks to the rats selling their souls for petty Rubles), russia still hasn't made significant gains. For almost half a year now, russia has lost around a thousand soldiers every day and what do you guys have to show for it? The russian offensive still has invaded less area than Ukraine liberated in their summer offensive.
So yeah: Ukraine still being around and having an army that keeps up the fight despite all this *_I S_* an embarassment for fascist russia.
Just compare it to Operation Desert Storm. The US managed to beat the 4th strongest military in less than half a year, despite waging war half across the globe. The russians can't even fight one of Europe's poorest nations and thousands of km of direct land border lol.
PS: how's the Black Sea Fleet doing LAMO.
When Russia tells us they have air superiority:
Does Vladivostok count
If they didn't they wouldn't be dropping FABs all over the front. That has to change drastically.
@@bigblue6917 Possibly, provided the Chinese Air force does not actually fly that particular day.
@it's still contested airspace. What they have is actually range
Sí tienen superioridad aérea localizada, no en todo el frente, pero en un mes máximo eso va a cambiar, o empezarán a cazar patos feos Rusos. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think they are trolling Russia to have them send fighters closer.
Suchomimus, your work here on UA-cam is great. Thank you Sir!
Many thanks! Very kind of you
Something I've noticed is that Russian aircraft are actually quite good when they're not flown by Russians
Soon we will see how the F16s compare
I doubt it. It will still be years before those pilots are fully qualified. I guess it all depends how desperate Ukraine is.
@@donwyoming1936 You keep spouting this kremlin narrative. Whatever your source is it's untrustworthy.
@@donwyoming1936 Those currently converting to the F16 aren't rookie pilots being trained from scratch.
They're combat veterans with a significant amount of experience.
They'll be in operation by the summer.
Su-25 is actually closer to A-10 in the intended role, a closer analog to F-16 would be MiG-29 UM1
@@donwyoming1936you are on every channel posting this. Working hard I see😂😂😂
Such - Today, 'Kyiv Independent' reports: 'A Russian multirole helicopter Ka-32 was destroyed at the Ostafyevo airfield in Moscow overnight on April 26, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) reported.

You are the single most reliable commentator on the “special military operation”; Thank You
Seems each side now has serious holes in the SAMs area coverage as seen recently how they use jets more freely in specific regions, attrition warfare right here
True, but we know why Ukraine has holes - their oft-warned-about ammo shortage - but we don't know why Putin's forces would have a similar deficit. There's theories, of course - pullback for anti-deep-strike-drone defense, Russia's continuing breakdown in logistics, possibly a lack of trained personnel, straight attrition as you mentioned, etc. - but I don't think we can say which one factor or several is responsible, or if it's something else altogether. We'll have to wait-and-see, I suppose.
Some of the first munitions the US delivered once the aid bill had finally been passed (no thanks to the Putin-controlled treasonous GOP) were Stingers, specifically for this reason. Gotta give props to Biden, too, as he seems to have sneakily pre-positioned a lot of Ukraine-bound munitions in Europe before the aid bill was even finalized, thus allowing a far-faster resupply than many thought possible. I've heard several sources saying 1 000 ATACMS are already in Ukraine.

The pigeon at 2:04 wasn't hanging about when it saw those Ukrainian birds in the sky.
Interesting. Thank you.
There is a reason why we haven't seen a lot of Ukrainian CAS action. Ukraine had 31 Su-25s in service, 17 have been lost according to Oryx and with the true number being most likely higher, Ukraine has lost half its fleet.
I wouldn't doubt the claims Ukraine loses 2 planes a month.
No way! Russia said they destroyed 200 out of 31 in 2022! Lol
@@donwyoming1936 Wouldn't be surprising, Ukrainian pilots are less trained than their Russian counterparts and their planes are less capable, with the Russian fleets being mostly modernized. If the Russians followed the American doctrine of neutralizing an enemy's air capabilities as soon as the conflict starts, Ukraine wouldn't have an air force. Though the Russian doctrine only suggests establishing air superiority only above the areas where fighting is taking place, which is exactly what the current situation is.
@@SCH292 Sure, and I'm the king of Arabia. There's a difference between believing propaganda and stating the cold truth.
@@TikhonT. The Russian air force is a long way from 'mostly modernised' & there's little to choose between their Su25 & Ukraine's.
As for pilot experience; what you claim is simply not true.
Ukraine using SU-25 means the F16 is coming online
They've been using it from the start.
Amazing, thank you, Suchomimus, for your analysis!
🇺🇦 Перемоги і миру всім українцям! 🇺🇦
Thank you for the update.
Noice!
Another great video, Sucho! Thanks!
Hard to tell from the angle of the video, but I'm not sure the Su-25s in question are using the "lobbing" technique here. If they aren't, interesting what that might imply for what Ukraine knows about the state of Russian AA capabilities in the area.
❤
🇺🇦🇺🇦👍👍
Don't the Ukrainian SU25s also fire longer range Zuni rockets? They have thousands of them but hardly any footage of use.
War - walking on the edge.
As an FYI in 2024 / 2025:
"Pounding" (paʊndɪŋ). noun. From the verb "to efging POUND Da s out of it". Meaning: repeated and heavy striking or hitting of someone or something.

Interesting that Ukraine feels able to use the SU-25 for direct ground attack, whereas Russia only uses them for launching less accurate munitions from as far from the frontline as possible. Suggests that Russia's air defence is now so degraded that they can't even take out the relatively vulnerable SU-25, so they're going to really suffer when decent numbers of F-16s arrive.
Russia doesn't believe in aiming. The project is obviously to turn all of Ukraine into rubble.
👍🇬🇧🇺🇦
I don't think those are S-8 as what they fire seems to be much chunkier and fewer, not to mention sizeable explosions which seems beyond even 122mm munitions - so likely a much bigger S-25 (unless the new S-24, but no idea how much of those Ukraine had). That is 250mm instead of 80mm. Those are general purpose with several variants, ideal for taking out strongpoints, buildings, important installations, not to mention tanks, but I recall years ago I saw a documentary which mentioned russians using them for anti shipping on their naval aviation's Su-27 variants.
The hardpoints on the Ukrainian SU-25s are compatible with NATO munitions, so it may not be the Soviet designed S series rockets.
It takes guts to be a fighter pilot in today's wars, with all the anti aircraft weapons around. This kind of mission will be just as dangerous, flying an F16 I suppose.
This is the first time I've seen impacts from rockets like this. It is hard to tell the total flight distance, but that spread isn't too bad, I guess. Still seems kind of inneficient given the exposure of the pilot, fuel, cost per hour, and whatnot.
is there anything known about the pilot skills of ukr vs rus? with similar planes its up to pilots to make the difference. just curious 🇳🇱❤🇺🇦

I’m noticing a complete lack of information about the Ukrainian government military presence?
Looks to me that "air superiority" and "air superiority" doesn't mean much anymore with all those modern infantry weapons flooding the battlefield.

What's with the format?🥴😳
Of course Ukraine can fly again. All of the Orc SAM systems are dead. 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 Слава Україні!!! Героям слава!!! 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
I get the impression, listening to Ukranian commentators, that Robotyne (spelling?) is pronounced Rob-OT-enah. Capitals were to show emphasis. Rob as in rob a bank. Hope that is helpful. Perhaps someone here knows better.
Proper pronunciation would be: ro-bO-tee-neh (h - silent) stress on second syllable.
Well, closest to proper. English doesn't have equivalent to Ukrainian И sound.
I fear the input/output -ratio is not worth it at all. High fuel, ammo and maintenance cost for a rather small effect. I assume drones are far more precise and a lot cheaper to operate. + you do not risk the lifes of highly specialized pilots.
Accurate? They all landed near the road, but not anywhere near each other - they’re just randomly peppering the line of buildings. Which is what you’d expect for unguided rockets.
sooo, the 1st plane shots 4 missiles and the 2nd one shots 3 but we can see a lot more impacts, what am i missing here?
You know who is reporting
@0:28 Plane #1 3 rockets, @0:31 4 rockets from an unseen plane, @0:35 3 rockets from a second plane
@@geo8rge by the 0:31 4 rockets you mean the flares from the plane?
oops they are flares.
Both sides are not entirely honest when it comes to reporting.
Nice 50x50 pixel video you've got there.
The 299th tab is still going strong but attrition has taken its toll.
Several specific aircraft are photographed quite often still
On these missions.
I have some of those numbers but you no one here will get them from me.😂
