Thank you for sharing this beautiful outdoor practice. The colours are stunning. I always love the outdoor ones. Seeing nature is so uplifting. I find pilates challenging & embraced this today. I did too find this fast-paced & I don't like not being able to do things (I see this as a challenge too). I liked the affirmations & did feel open afterwards & I have freed emotion afterwards. You had me at "cortisol imbalance"! 😉 I do a lot of energetic work while I sleep along with extremely active dreaming. I woke up this morning thinking about how I can release stress I gather during the night & found this. Definitely a quicker pace & I had to rewind a few times to figure out the next pose but I feel a lot better now than I did a few minutes ago. THANKS!

Hi Akansha, great question! It really depends on the stage of your diastasis recti and your healing journey. I always recommend consulting with your doctor or physical therapist first to assess your individual needs. If you have an active or significant tear, this particular practice may not be ideal, as it includes a good amount of trunk flexion, which can sometimes aggravate the condition. In those cases, gentle core stabilizing exercises, like planks, are often more suitable to help rebuild strength without putting pressure on the linea alba (the connective tissue). However, if your diastasis has healed and you’re looking to tone and firm the area safely, this practice can be very beneficial. Somatic Pilates and yoga exercises focus on deep core activation, mindful movement, and breathwork, which can help reconnect you to your transverse abdominis and pelvic floor-key muscles for supporting the belly area post-pregnancy. Remember to listen to your body and move at a pace that feels right for you. I did too find this fast-paced & I don't like not being able to do things (I see this as a challenge too). I liked the affirmations & did feel open afterwards & I have freed emotion afterwards. You had me at "cortisol imbalance"! 😉 I do a lot of energetic work while I sleep along with extremely active dreaming. I woke up this morning thinking about how I can release stress I gather during the night & found this. Definitely a quicker pace & I had to rewind a few times to figure out the next pose but I feel a lot better now than I did a few minutes ago. THANKS!

Is this good for a mom with diatesis recti? I have lost a good amount of weight but only my belly pooch is the on-going issue
Hi Akansha, great question! It really depends on the stage of your diastasis recti and your healing journey. I always recommend consulting with your doctor or physical therapist first to assess your individual needs.
If you have an active or significant tear, this particular practice may not be ideal, as it includes a good amount of trunk flexion, which can sometimes aggravate the condition. In those cases, gentle core stabilizing exercises, like planks, are often more suitable to help rebuild strength without putting pressure on the linea alba (the connective tissue).
However, if your diastasis has healed and you’re looking to tone and firm the area safely, this practice can be very beneficial. Somatic Pilates and yoga exercises focus on deep core activation, mindful movement, and breathwork, which can help reconnect you to your transverse abdominis and pelvic floor-key muscles for supporting the belly area post-pregnancy.
Remember to listen to your body and move at a pace that feels right for you.
