Plant is 74 yrs old today and still as smooth and hot as ever!! He never stopped making music, and even won a couple non-Zep Grammy Awards. I love listening to his interviews- he is insightful, articulate and has a great sense of humor. He speaks so poetically without even trying - it just oozes from him. Love your reactions!
He is just always 'on'; his energy is incredibly magnetic. He transforms when he sings, and becomes part of the music as extension of himself. Very few singers have that. A remarkably gifted, passionate, and creative artist. They are all, very special.
Nancy was in her sixties when she sang this 🤯 Prior to this event, Jason told the band that he had another engagement and so couldn't be with them to attend this. However, on the night he totally surprised them and came out to play, he fooled them all along. For Robert Plant, seeing the son of his late best friend playing his dad's drums in his dad's hat on stage playing to an epic cover of the song, is what must have got him choked up 😭
Not only that, but this rendition was stunning! Her last long note conveyed such powerful emotion, how could it not affect them? Also, her inflections and nuances as she sang followed RP's very closely. Such a high mark of respect. Simply unforgettable.
Robert is also Jason’s godfather, I’m sure he was thinking John should be there, watching his son honor them & he should have. John was so proud of Jason’s drum playing as a child, & he does his father proud.
There was a lot going on here during this tribute that you can appreciate if you watch this video again. LZ wasn't aware that Jason was going to be there to play the drums, he surprised all of them. And you were right about him acknowledging John during the performance, he was using the same drum kit, and Jason and the choir that appears at the end of the song were all wearing bowler hats also in tribute to John. All in all a very emotional event, hell I was crying the first time I watched it. Still gets to me today as I have been a fan since the 60's and I love this band so much! Good reaction young man! I'm glad you decided to continue with your channel if it makes you happy and it's what you want to do. Hope you are gifted success, and don't worry about what the others will get away with while you can't.....it only means they haven't been caught yet. 😉
Led Zeppelin's lead singer, Robert Plant, was brought to tears because of the drummer, Jason Bonham. Jason is the son of John Bonham, the band's original drummer and Robert's best friend, whose death in 1980 resulted in the end of the band. They had invited Jason to represent his Dad at this ceremony honoring Led Zeppelin. But Jason told them he had a scheduling conflict. The conflict turned out to be walking out on stage to surprise the band by playing the drums during the tribute. Look at how surprised and happy Robert is when they introduced Jason at the beginning. The tears came as Robert thought about his friend and was sad he could not be there. It's also very poignant to watch Jason look up toward heaven, thinking undoubtedly about his Dad, as Anne sings the word heaven in last line of the song.
The members of LZ had no idea that Jason Bonham was going to be there, nor did they know that Nancy and Ann was going to pay tribute. Ann and Nancy are one of the biggest LZ fans.
It’s crazy to think that there were that many people performing that song, & needed to, to do this song 🎵 justice.. …. That those 4 men were able to do, just them on stage, back in the 70’s. .. This was such a memorable experience for them all. .. Plant & Bonham had such a beautiful friendship. Reason why he never felt they could play again without him. .. To be able to witness Jason in the song m/performance def made him choke up 🥹..
He was probably remembering his friend John Bonham seeing Jason on the drums. Robert is his godfather. They packed it in as a band when John died in 1980.

The last live performance of Led Zeppelin was in 2007, called Celebration Day, released in 2012. Jason Bonham takes his father’s place, with Jimmy, Robert and John. If you like Zeppelin live , you have to see it. Good job on your vids👍
Zep's Celebration Day '07 concert is a must-watch, must-react to event. You'll be amazed at how great Pagey, Plant, and Jonesy performed while their energy and stage presence was still A-1. Jason Bonham took his dad's place (Bonzo) on drums. The concert was released in 2012. Gotta watch it in full! To your comment about the tears in Robert's eyes: He was astounded to see Jason in Bonzo's place, just as he was utterly surprised by the choir sporting copies of John's bowler hat. Jason and Robert had been close friends and his sudden unexpected death wrecked Robert and Jimmy. They ended their legendary band because of the loss of their fourth mate. Robert had lost his young son not long before and still hadn't recovered from that trauma. In LZ's latter years, severe addictions had overtaken Bonham and Jimmy. Robert and Jonesy were also playing while drugging and drinking, but were not dragged down the way the addictions hit Jimmy and Bonham. But at LZ's worst (if there was such a thing), they played and performed better than myriad major rock band contemporaries who criticized them while trying unsuccessfully to imitate them. It brings tears to my eyes today every time I see Pagey, Plant and JPJ looking as handsome, vibrant and healthy as they are in their mid-to-late '70s. Jimmy will be 80 on his upcoming birthday and is still both gorgeous and a walking encyclopedia of music. Robert still performs and is an often sought talk show guest who keeps it real with his wit and truth-telling. They each have had their own separate projects since the end of Zeppelin, but when they've infrequently performed together (sometimes just Page and Plant), the magic is still there. Jonesy can still play everything including the kitchen sink and always adds humorous (often dark and quietly snarkey) comments when interviewed. Zep was not a band of just one musician, but of four musical geniuses brought together by the creative magick of Page. BTW, I'm now 76, a Zep fan since its beginning and a rabid Page fan since he was with the Yardbirds and Jeff Beck. Led Zeppelin, BEST ROCK BAND E-V-E-R!!! ❤❤❤❤

Phenomenal performance by Heart. Can you imagine the pressure they must have felt performing in front of Robert, Jimmy and John Paul. Robert was Cryin because he wished he had asked Jason to be there and Jason was there playing. He had no idea. Such a great surprise ✌❤🤘I want some Alice In Chains dude! Love Hate Love from Live at The Moore also Man In A Box and Bleed The Freak from same concert. Layne Staley hands down has the most powerful, well controlled and unique voice I've ever heard. This band is very underrated and never got there props they were due. All have been done by other reactors many times so you should be ok. ✌
So so very happy to know you will be staying around. I was there for Zeppelin way back in the late 60'a early 70's when it all started. 50 years later still love them and listen to them regularly. Have been known to drag out the vinyls when feeling a little melancholy. Thanks for what you do. It's fun to watch someone experience the classics for the first time.
President Obama was the sitting President for these Kennedy Center honors. The only time I believe the Kennedy Center honors were not held was during the administration of number 45, who opted to pass on them.
You don't need to feel bad one second for Plant. He is 74 today and still smoooooove!!! Plus he is humble, hilarious and down to earth, which makes him even sexier. Such a beautiful man! ❤❤
If you quit make sure it's because you want to quit, not because of something or someone pressing you to stop spreading the truth and making people smile for being yourself. Edit: Free bird. I ball my eye's out when I hear that one. Every time.
Ann Wilson is such a class act, she could blow that choir out of the water with her pipes but chose to let them have their moments. I've seen Heart in every decade since the 70s.. except this one.. flippin' covid
Oh RDiss sooo happy to see you back. Sorry you have been through the ringer. My thoughts and prayers to Victor. RDiss you bring smiles to lots of us. 😊😊😊

I totally understand what you meant by Robert Plant looking "pained, aging etc.." Watching him, you can definitely see he is going through so many emotions during this tribute to them. It made me cry and I felt so touched by Heart. Ty for your reaction...I love watching your reactions on Led Z!!!!!!! keep up those dimples :P
Welcome back man! Glad to see you again! I agree with many things you said in this video. The music didn't need to go down so much, but her mic volume needed to be turned up. Either way, she needed to be heard much more. As far as Robert, you're right, he got misty listening to Anne. But keep in mind, even in his 70's, he's still got a great voice and still tours. I've seen him twice and he still pulls out the Led, and sounds great! I still ask that you react to Kashmir live from Celebration Day. In their 60's and rock it! And Jason Bonham is a star ⭐ in this video.
Of all the reaction videos out there you have become by far my absolute favorite because you in a way give me that sense of awe and warm feeling in my heart that I felt as a teenager in the 70's when I first heard Zeppelin.Rock on man and I hope everything goes well for you in life!!

LMAO your a mind reader RDiss was thinking the other day that I needed to send you this one ...Glad you decided to hang in there and keep the channel goin...Love your channel you were actually the first reactor that I was ever started watching on a regular basis...
Early in Heart's career Jimmy Page was in their audience & Heart was doing their 2nd or 3rd encore & they had run out of original material so decided to do some Led Zeppelin. After the show Page went backstage & told Nancy that they had his complete permission to perform any of Zep's music any time. (Zeppelin is very stingy about giving "official permission" to use their music, especially back then). If you're looking for classic rock to react to you can't go wrong with Queen (20 years of genius to explore). The Queen official channel also doesn't worry about copyright. Queen's live performances are the absolute best.
I hear you. I felt the same way. I was actually teary-eyed just watching their mixed emotions. They had so much respect and enjoyment for the cover of their masterpiece. I could also see the bitter sweet in the eyes, especially Robert Plant. As the saying goes: “Time is a thief”
Hey there it's Sandie from the UK, keep up the good work, if copyright arseholes had any brains they should be grateful for the attention you bring to the music, don't give up keep rocking. Check out a DJ back here in the UK called John Peel, he did pirate radio and bought great music to the masses without 👍 him the music industry would be dead. Love you keep going ❤ xxxx
I’m suggesting you react to Kashmir (Live from the 2007 Celebration Day)concert. Jason was on drums. I heard people say he beat those drums like they owed him money! 😂
THE TRUTH Been A Zeppelin fan since the 70's.😊 I KNOW all genres. I was the ripe age at the right time for ALL genres..a tennager in the 1980's which was the beginnings of rap. Rap comes from rock n roll believe this or not. My household as a child was all of rock n roll. As a teen in the 80's I had a younger brother that gravitated to rap. Because of him I got into Snoop Dog big time & everything that was hip at the time..absolutely loved! I can say 100% that the rock n roll genre will always be here to stay in my heart deeply. Rap is a genre that can go.I will not miss. I am well rounded in rap. I can say that rock n roll is dear to my heart.🔴
New sub here! 🖤 I too thought the sound on Ann's mic should have been adjusted for that particular part. She HIT that, (no surprise) but was drowned out quite a bit by the strings, choir, etc. Still one of the most amazing performances I've ever watched. I have loved Heart since I was a little girl and I'm 34 now! In my humble opinion, I think Nancy is one of the most underrated guitarists and it's a damn shame. (Not one of the best female guitarists, one of the best guitarists, period.) She is so talented with her fifteen friggin fingers! 😂 I found my way to your channel after discovering this performance for the FIRST time, this morning. Wow. I cannot believe I didn't know Heart performed and killed this tribute. Of course I cannot give all the credit to Ann and Nancy for this magic. Everyone involved put their EVERYTHING in this, and it shows. Beautiful. Absolutely incredible! Again, still can't believe I hadn't known of this performance/tribute. (Especially when I primarily watch music reaction channels & videos!) But, in discovering this performance, I discovered your channel. I'd say today has been a massive win! Time to see what else you've got on here! I hope more Heart, for sure! 🖤
@@meganlynn83 I agree with what you say about the mic tho. She's powerful, but that sensational part went right thru everyone I think, and should have had more focus and sound. It certainly affected Robert Plant greatly.
What a set of pipes on Ann 😱 and at 62yo.. you can really hear the maturity and depth in her voice in that it is, in a word, "Seasoned" 🤷.. absolutely sensational.. the perfect choice to tribute, arguably the greatest rock song of all time by the greatest rockers of all time.. the reaction on the old boys faces say it all!! 🤘🤘
You crack me up, talking about Plant and him not aging well, letting himself go. Now go watch Kashmir, Celebration Day 02 Arena then come back and tell me how he let himself go. Seriously, please check it out, the only regret you will have is having to retract a few of your comments. Peace
You have to do Led Zeppelin Celebration 2007 their last reunion together doing Kashmir. That shit is off the chain. Plant is still touring course these guys are in their 70s now. Plant still sounds really good I still follow him.😎🥰
Great reaction! Check out old Led Zep playing Kashmir in 2008 at their Celebration Day Show. This particular edit lowers her voice - you can hear it better in some others. She is singing with the Howard University choir however!
New subscriber.. great reaction! If you ever decide to broaden your horizons, let me suggest the acapella group Home Free. They are primarily a country group, but they can and do cover many genres. All of the music is done by human voices, their beatboxer is amazing. I promise you that you will be floored AND your fan base will grow. Home Free fans are called Home Fries and they follow reactors that react to Home Free. Home Free owns their own music rights and they encourage reactors . Sometimes they will even comment on the reactions. Man Of Constant Sorrow is a good song to start with, and remember there are no musical instruments. Give them a chance and you will love them. Once again, good job!!
It has to be hard for Led Zeppelin to see this performance and not want to be down there being a part of it. Other covers are pretty good but this is truly special. It’s not better than the original but it is as close as you can get as a live performance.

I look for you every Sunday. Love your zeppelin reactions. In my time of dying please. See you next time.
You need to check out led at the 2007 celebration day concert.. the song kashmir.. you will love it!!!!
Yes
So glad your doing this i just watched your Great reaction to Led Zep doing this song ENJOY !
Led Zepplim Legend❤
Keep going brother, strength.
God bless you Victor!!!
that's some entrance dude...you are THE dude..!! haha
Plant loved it.
That was just beautiful! She did such a great job. Great reaction! Glad you decided to stay!❤️
I'm glad you're going to keep going. 👏
Definitely watch celebration day 2007 it’s unbelievable
Robert Plant was teary-eyed cos this rendition is on spot!!
The best version of this song ever performed.
You know the men that created that song had their hearts feel full with this episodes
I think you might feel down/sad because after just finding this band you are now watching the end of an era...one of the best!
BIG FACTS.
Legends and a legendary performance!!🔥👍✌️
great perf ormance, good luck aging bro
Thrive On !!!✌️✨🙏✨💯☀️🌹🥀☀️✌️
Glad you're back. I really hope you work this out and don't quit
This makes me cry everytime, that I watch this tribute ....
Wow wow just wow
The girls were in their 60’s here! All of the Kennedy Center Honor shows are amazing. Check out the Sting tribute with Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
President Obama was the sitting President for these Kennedy Center honors. The only time I believe the Kennedy Center honors were not held was during the administration of number 45, who opted to pass on them.
I agree with u. U don’t drown out the greatest voice in rock. When is she gonna get her just dues! She is THE SHIT! Period.
I don't think she was drowned out. She laid "not to roll" out so hard and long so it melded with the same intensity as Fontayne's last riff.
The best tribute ever!
Nice react! ♥
Bro , the lead singer and her sister next to her on the acoustic guitar , Ann and Nancy Wilson are from Heart.
Back in the day we called Heart the female Led Zepplin. So fitting for them to do it.
Every time.
wow thank you, it was me my only obstacle is me but you writing that puts that in perspective for me thanks. fam
@@ROMsquad 💪😉
Ann Wilson is such a class act, she could blow that choir out of the water with her pipes but chose to let them have their moments.
I've seen Heart in every decade since the 70s.. except this one.. flippin' covid
Oh RDiss sooo happy to see you back. Sorry you have been through the ringer. My thoughts and prayers to Victor. RDiss you bring smiles to lots of us. 😊😊😊
thank you Kathryn and you have been a Gem you have just the most welcoming warm spirit. I appreciate you checking out a lot of my other reactions and following on IG. thanks for being real and open minded
@@ROMsquad😊😊😊❤
Heart got a standing ovation from LedZepplin
Good to see you back man :)
You are I great man, you stay over. Please dont chance your mind.
Great music, great honors.
Heart Love Them they R Awesome❤
I don’t have history, but appreciate you!
This is the cut version. Watch the full version and maybe the studio version of Heart recorded in the 70's or 80's, you'll dig it!
Love ya so glad your still here 😊
No…Robert still has it man. He has aged very well IMO. He can still belt out the tunes too.
I agree!
Of all the reaction videos out there you have become by far my absolute favorite because you in a way give me that sense of awe and warm feeling in my heart that I felt as a teenager in the 70's when I first heard Zeppelin.Rock on man and I hope everything goes well for you in life!!
Prayers Sent to You And Victor❤
God Bless You And Victor❤
Awesome pick today!! Best of luck with the copyright thing. I’ve heard a few other reactors are having trouble with the copyright thing too. I enjoy your work and will watch whatever you decide to do with your channel. Praying for your subscriber that suggest the Lincoln Center honors video that we just saw.
thanks i appreciate your support Respect and thanks for watching
You definitely have to check out Kashmir live at Celebration Day. They proved that age is just a number.
Thanks to Victor!! So glad you’re staying RDiss! I just found your channel, really love it!!! I would be sad if you left!
Prayers to Victor!❤️🙏🏼
This tribute by Heart is fantastic
💜🙏💜
@@victororona6250 I just found him today because of this.
My sis had brain surgery back in the early 80’s & she’s still doing well! She’s late 60’s now, so none of us are as great as we used to be!! 😂
@@bungalowmo totally agree! I now know that I do have limitations and I’m okay with that. I’m just glad to be alive! My mindset has changed and I now look forward to living out my golden years so to speak lol. I remind myself daily to make the comeback greater than the setback, All my best ❤️🧠🙏
Continued prayers for you my fellow warrior ❤️🧠🙏
LMAO your a mind reader RDiss was thinking the other day that I needed to send you this one ...Glad you decided to hang in there and keep the channel goin...Love your channel you were actually the first reactor that I was ever started watching on a regular basis...
THANK YOU! THAT IS REALLY HUMBLING. OMG1 APPRECIATE YOU THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT AND THE KIND WORDS
Prayers for Victor
It’s unfortunate that the version you chose had half the song edited out. So much goodness was lost. ☹️✌🏼
I’m suggesting you react to Kashmir (Live from the 2007 Celebration Day)concert. Jason was on drums. I heard people say he beat those drums like they owed him money! 😂
Glad you decided to stay. I love your reactions and rock journey! I don’t understand the whole copyright thing either.
THE TRUTH
Been A Zeppelin fan since the 70's.😊
I KNOW all genres.
Hang in there young man! You are jamming it!! Ann and Nancy Wilson "Heart". The drummer is the son of Robert Plants best friend who overdosed and died
New sub here! 🖤
I too thought the sound on Ann's mic should have been adjusted for that particular part.
(Not one of the best female guitarists, one of the best guitarists, period.)
She is so talented with her fifteen friggin fingers! 😂
I found my way to your channel after discovering this performance for the FIRST time, this morning.
I've watched different reactions to this and the camera angles were different in places; also her voice could be heard more clearly than in this one.
@@SuperMoofie I'll definitely look for another video of the performance! Thank you!
Plant still sounds really good I still follow him.😎🥰
RDISS I love the Black and Grey entrance
Great reaction! Check out old Led Zep playing Kashmir in 2008 at their Celebration Day Show. This particular edit lowers her voice - you can hear it better in some others. She is singing with the Howard University choir however!
Heart is the only band given blanket permission by Led Zep to cover/perform their songs during concerts
Robert Plante is a Great friend love you guys
Led Zeppelin, é muito bom parabéns! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 💓💓💓 💯👨👩👦👦
Heart did it just as well.
It has to be hard for Led Zeppelin to see this performance and not want to be down there being a part of it. Other covers are pretty good but this is truly special. It’s not better than the original but it is as close as you can get as a live performance.
