Ok My #LedHeadz are going to love this. Its between Led zep, and two other artist that are up for what band or hiphop group is going to be the first video ever to reach 100k on this channel . this is your chance to show rock can beat hip hop and modern day music even on a hiphop channel. so far you have a good lead look on my community page to see how far ahead you are . if you want to win watch the entire video all the way through so the view counts grab all the phones and tune in and show the new gen what real music is
Nice job. You pick up on stuff that Zep fans wouldnt notice - Robert Plant picking up a tambourine to support the action during solo for example. You probably already figured this out, but they are a British band. Probably the most influential band in hard rock - most of their other famous songs have superheavy iconic riffs that have been sampled endlessly. Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love are probably the most famous of their heavy tracks. I think you are more likely to recognise them.
Got it on a loop.. 😎

Loved that reaction. I still have my poster from Robert Plant...the singer from that performance from back in the day!. Freebird? Ill have to look and see if you have done that from Lynyrd Skynryd. It's always the debatable ? of which is best...that or Stairway. Of course Ive loved them both since the 70s. Now Im loving Tom McDonalds genius songs.
We did it!! ✌️
It breaks my heart to think of how many young people today have never heard authentic raw musical talent.
Yes it is so sad and criminal that much of the live concert footage available to watch and listen to has been auto tuned. Nothing is raw and authentic anymore.
It breaks mine to. I've told my kids for over 25 years now that this is my funeral song, and they have to listen to all of it, no half measures. 😂😂😂
He's not even that young!!!
My 14 year old nephew LOVES Led Zeppelin. So does my friend's 17 year old and her girlfriend. There's hope for some young people yet 👌🏼
Me too. It was such a release. These kids don't have that and it shows!!!
I almost died when he said … “I wonder if he’s some sort of guitar genius” 😂
💯 🤣
Lol same, yes sir. Jimmy Paige is a genius. Without a shadow of a doubt. And you watched the right video.
😂🤣😂🤣😂💯
😂😂😂
I suppose the logical answer is "Well, wonder no more!"
I literally lost count of how many times during this video I found myself saying, "Dude, you ain't seen nothin' yet!" 😉 So glad that you appreciated it, and it was great watching your reaction when various elements (that I knew were coming) kicked in.
That's because he paused and ran his mouth every 4.5 seconds.
I always wait for the newbie to get to the part where they really rock out, knowing what is coming.
So many of their songs would blow your mind. Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, No Quarter, Misty Mountain Hop and so many more. They were incredibly prolific.
I love that some of their music is so heavily influenced by Lord of the Rings, like The Battle of Evermore.
Yeah easy to pick one that wasn't great.
As a music DJ that played requests, this one, whole lotta love, Kashmir, and the immigrant song get the most requests.😂❤
Led Zeppelin recorded this in 1971, way before Lord of the Rings. It almost makes me cry to realize how many young people missed out on Led, Pink Floyd and many others who influenced music even today!
Honey, I'm 76, and I've been listening to these guys since the 1970s. They are English and are my all-time favorite band. Play Kashmir or Whole Lotta Love to see a different dynamic. Robert Plant has a phenomenal voice, and the rest of the band is just as good in their own right. They no longer tour because most of them are older than me now. Yeah, the grandmothers of today knew how to rock it! Led Zeppelin has a whole repertoire of amazing songs. That love is why they were so famous. They Rock!
Great stoner music
I am a 56yo male and I can not tell you how much fun it is to watch you youngsters discover the music I have enjoyed (taken for granted) for years,
You are so right. The music today can’t even compare to what we grew up with, and yes, unfortunately, we did take great music for granted!
I’m a 54 yo male and I am still rockin that outfit that Robert Plant had on stage, but the bald spot getting noticeable.
Me too! I'm 55 and I love the shocked look when youngsters figure out what real music is!
57 and agree but I also think it's a sin for pausing or talking over Jimmy Page's solo!
totally agree when you think of people of our age we are the lucky one to have grown up in that soundtrack
I love it when reactors geek out over the first few minutes, when all of us in the know, know what's coming......
Led Zeppelin won a Kennedy Center Award and Heart sang this song to them. It was staggeringly impressive. Robert Plant cried.
At that tribute performance Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son - JB was the original drummer) played the drums. Robert Plant said that seeing John's son was a really emotional moment.
@@Goldfinga888
That's the reason for the choir in Derby hats.
he cried because of Jason playing in his dad's place
The fantastic
I'm pretty sure that the term "rock gods" was invented to describe Led Zeppelin
Yes ma'am you're right
YES!!!!!
& RUSH
"Dirty dirty Olivia"!!.. where is your eyes in the middle of Song!???... hash Tag meetooo!!. Eli suomexsi hashish töhry!! Mie myös!!..🙂🙃🙂😉
Robert Plant in particular. . .
And those of us who grew up listening to this KNEW EVERY SINGLE WORD, EVERY SINGLE NOTE TO EVERY SONG - and the lyrics actually had MEANING. And yes, junior. They're a British band.
I hear you
That was so funny when he didn't even know that they were Brits. OMG still laughing 😅😂😂😊
Yo, 64 here, we took great bands like this for granted back then because they were exploding into gods so fast then. We were spoiled weren't we?
@@cubscoutmanisn’t that the truth!! There was so much variety in music that we could pick and choose a genre and it would have amazingly good, natural talent top hits! How can we enjoy the musical talent of today when we have thirty years of the best music ever made and sung to compare it to?🇨🇦
@@bonniewood5286 Well put Bonnie, I find it very hard to even attempt to get into any of the newer music. We have all of the good stuff already there that has more staying power. New music made with electronic toys or just the same old rap beat does nothing for me. I will always go back to all of the stuff we grew up with. It was so good then that nobody now can even come close to making the grade, try as they may. People are too distracted, and entertained by their smartphones, and they will never unplug from them long enough to put the time into making good music.
"I must have been living under a rock..." im in my seventh decade and watching a hip hopper discover Stairway to Heaven gives me reason to live a little longer...you got my subscribe!
Just to let you know, classic rock had dozens of great bands but Led Zeppelin was king. It was a different time, a different era. We called it hard Rock. Today, it's classic rock. Sorry, music isn't made like this today. Their is a ton of music lovers that living under that same rock. Don't be surprised when you hear more of Zep and some others from back in that day. You will freak out. You have just begun!
Greta Van Fleet and the Darkness are the closest equivalent we got to authentic hard rock today.
I heard somewhere that this is one of the most technically complex songs ever in rock music! In any case, it defines one of the reasons our 70s rock can never be duplicated. It wasn’t just the music, it was the reasons behind the music.
Best review on this video I’ve seen yet. You rock!
I agree, but, I could argue Queen Bohemian Rhapsody is more complex 😊
Dude shut up and listen
Ok..I'm out.
You talk 2much
Legendary!!! Kashmir is another required song.
Live 1979!
Yeah👍🏼
Live O2 concert. See their last performance and they crushed it....
Absolutely!
Kashmir is my all-time favorite song
These were the years when musicians really knew how to play, were skilled and honed it. These guys were classic! Absolutely fantastic!❤
We still do. We’re just waiting for y’all to come back from the electronic toys and listen to humans again.
Anytime you’re ready. 😉
I decided 40 years ago that I would not listen to Stairway to heaven ever again because I heard it literally hundreds of times. This made me literally cry not only that he had no idea they are the best band of all time, but he brought joy to the song for me again
These guys are legends. Another great song by them is 'Whole lotta love'. Their drummer is John Bonham & sadly he passed away. In 2012 Led Zeppelin was honored at the Kennedy Center & the girl rock group 'Heart' sang this in tribute & it is frigging amazing. You see the guys watching on with smile & a few tears as the girls kick ass & John's son Jason is the drummer for the performance & he wears his dads Bowler hat as a nod to dad. Watching both performances is so fun. You should check it out. Heart is sisters Ann the lead singer who is 62 years old at the Kennedy center performance & she is still frigging amazing. Her sister is Nancy 958) & an awesome guitarist/singer too. 'Barracuda' would be a fun one to hear them do as young rockers.
This performance moved me.. heart nailed it.. made plant emotional.. just magical
I also recommend watching Heart's tribute, nominated by Obama!
Love him doing Black Dog too. So much fun ❤
"This guy has to be a genius on the guitar" oh yes my friend. Jimmy Page is one of the all time greats.
Jimmy page was in the early Ysrdbirds, and was also in John Mayall Bluesbreakers band. When he left Eric Clapton replaced him. These guys are British rock royalty. They even had their own Jumbo Jet!
Amen to that!
What’s crazy is Jimmy put together a lot of samples for the guitar riff on tape. Surprisingly it took off and he had to learn how to play it.
Just beaten by David Gilmour 😍
@@rockon4853 Exactly !!Love Jimmy , but David is something else 😍
Drummer is Jonh Bonham, considered one of the best drummers in history
And he is!
when the levee breaks is an iconic drum intro.
@@josephregester7780 And used on a number of Rap tunes as well.
@reset 19 torn between him and Danny Carey
@reset 19 ehehe maybe you are missing out
The best thing about Led Zeppelin and what they did for me was, is that they showed up in my lifetime.
This song is a rock anthem and will be played and remembered for generations.
you just ran it to the greatest Rock N Roll band ever. The rabbit hole is deep.
So true
Never agreed so hard to a comment
The greatest band to never have a #1 single
Very deep indeed- and he will never regret going down this rabbit hole!
You like drums? Check out Danny Carey Tool Pneuma or Black Sabbath War Pigs.
“Stairway to Heaven” is considered by many, to be the best rock song of all time. Period.
It’s # 1 on my list.
Not only rock song. Its one of the best SONGS of all time, period!
Arguably
Hotel California is up there
It is. Period.
Whole Lotta Love has one of the filthiest riffs EVER.
You, sir, are awesome and I love your open-mindedness and joy! I'll be back for more reactions, I subscribed!
Try the lemon song...squeeze my..... first song I heard. My friend freaked out and introduced me to led zep. Fell in love. I am 67💋
@@robinlowney9171much love and respect and ROCK ON!
I particularly liked The Battle of Evermore. Note the references in some of the writing to The Lord of the Rings. Oh, and if you haven't seen Heart do Stairway To Heaven with Led Zepplin in the Audience when Led Zepplin was being honored, THAT is a must see performance. Heart did a magnificent job but the sentiment, the love in the air as band watches Bonham's son play in his dead father's place...it's something special.
First time hear Zeppelin "I'm pretty sure that's not their only huge hit"
The rest of the universe "welcome to the party".
I know right? Zep 4 the whole album is a hit. Literally every song on that album is played in the radio
This video clip was recorded LIVE at Madison Square Garden during the filming of their concert movie “The Song Remains the Same”. The concert was part of the 1973 U.S. tour and the movie was released in 1976. It’s definitely worth seeing if you haven’t.
@@johndrews206 I mean, Zeppelin albums 1 through 9 are hits
Lmao yessss
Kashmir is great too matter of fact singer Robert Plant and lead guitarist Jimmy Page were both asked in separate interviews years ago if they had to pick one song as their favorite which one they admitted it has to be Kashmir because theres really alot put into Kashmir instrumentally etc
"Since I've Been Loving You", live at Madison Square Gardens. After that," You Shook Me", Kashmir" "The Lemon Song" You know, just for starters.
Kashmir is awesome
The song remains the same into the rain song at MSG! That’s a must !
Great starter list lol!
just for starters, yup.
YES. Good songs!
Check out Heart’s version done at the Kennedy Center Led Zeppelin was being honored by the center. It is a excellent version of the song as well and you get to see the band’s reactions to their song being sung well
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are still alive and look Fantastic. Plant is still recording. He has done a couple of recordings with Allison Krauss.
He has done many interviews that are worthwhile.
Dude...Dazed And Confused from this concert in 1973 is 28 minutes of Jimmy losing his mind on the guitar!! You won't believe it! They are in their 20s. OMG...any live performance is amazing!! Trust me! Try The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song from this concert!! Killer! They are always in sync and crazy good!
Hes so great with that solo. He incorporated so much into it. I definitely think Page rehearsed what he was going to play before achieving that solo.
100% agree. Dazed and confused from this concert will blow your mind. The song remains the same is the name of a song,an album, and a movie. Try the song remains the same, that traditions into the rain song from this concert. They belong together
it looks like your request is going to be the next on the list. good job! the majority seems to be with you. thanks for taking out the time and watching the video along with the time that it took you to write this animated post. you have me excited are you a writer
@@jimmycompton6352 wow im loving the excitement in the posts
@@VlxWIZzZARDxlV are you talking about dazed and confused?
Jimmy Page is still considered one of the greatest guitar players ever, right up with there with Clapton and Hendrix.
John Bonham, thought he met an early death, still retains being a top 3 drummer today.
And no one can be as individual singer than Robert Plant.
The band sold 300 million records! They’re gods.
You do pause and chat a bit too much during the song.
Don’t forget John Paul Jones
@@annkehoe7079 you're right on that one!
JPJ could very well be regarded as the most talented musician in the band. Personnally every man was 25%, no more no less, Making 100% perfection
Both Robert Plant and Jimmy Paige were fans of Joni Mitchell
Robert Plant - His voice is his instrument. He's 75 and I think he still records. Jimmie Paige could make his guitar sing. Led Zepplin was a UK band.
I grew up on this music so it's fun to watch younger people rediscovering and appreciating it like we did back in the day.
“When the Levee Breaks”, studio version. You’ll recognize the drums for sure. It’s been sampled by everyone.
thanks for the post fam
@@ROMsquad OMG YES 🙌🏻 DO THIS! You would not be disappointed you will be blown away 🤪👍🏻
When the Levee Breaks will convince anybody to listen to and become a fan of Led Zeppelin. It’s a great way to get started listening to them for sure. Great suggestion.
@@violet04nunya98 True. There are so many elements to that song that make it so unique and listenable to over and over again. The drums suck you in at the beginning but from there everything else going on in the song makes it such a classic, iconic song.
Damn right
Accent is British...they are an English band. Jimmy Page...best guitarist to ever grace the planet...John Bonham...best rock drummer of all time...John Paul Jones best musician on bass/keyboards/mandolin...Robert Plant best rock vocals ever/harmonica!
Jimmy Page is GREAT, but best guitarist ever is a stretch. Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Clapton, and Prince would like a word.
You got that right girl!

@@bjsmith6187 Page's catalogue gives him the throne.
@@tommygunn3008 his “catalogue” belongs to the entire band. For skill and technical ability, the one’s I listed rank above Page.
@@bjsmith6187 "technical" ability doesn't make a great guitarist. It is the emotive magic that rates Page the Wizard. Sure Prince was great too....Clapton...Mr. Slow hand...sorry he makes me yawn. But Page, he captures the emotion in his playing. And Hendrix, too...an emotive player...he's up there, too.
Is considered one of the greatest rock songs ever. Maybe one of the greatest songs period. It's perfection.
“ this guy has to be a genius on the guitar “ great insight!! And YES he is, also… you nailed it.
Led Zeppelin is and will always be the greatest band around. On the 70s people knew how to play the instruments. Not like today's so-called artist using computer generated sound. There is no talent like 70s talent. Dazed and confused a great song. Battle of evermore underated song.
I'm 67...led zep is my favorite. Followed by Tina turner and Tom petty. 💋
I’m 64 graduated in 75 and I grew up with Led Zeppelin and it was so awesome to watch your reaction and your appreciation of them. The were truly the Gods of Rock in our era and beyond.
I found the kid kind of a poser. He faked listening. Stopped the song five times within the first 16 bars. Five times. He had a comment every time. Hadn't even heard one lyric. Poser.
I'm just one year behind you and I have to agree. I saw them 3 times in Seattle. They are still awesome!

Led Zeppelin "When the Levee Breaks" = huge drums!!
My favorite Led Zep song!
Sampled by the Beastie Boys.
Honestly one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs
Allí Baba and the 40 thieves! It’s only a staple of some obscure band called Cypress Hill. They usually got high, TO THIS!!!!!
Iconic song I remember growing up was played as the last song at every high school dance! Best band ever to exist and they are British. Robert Plant still performs but the band broke up after the death of John Bonham, the best drummer I have ever seen.
Loved the reaction. Led Zeppelin were my favourite band in my teens and I was fortunate enough to see them live in 1975. Best concert I've ever seen. They were a band where you just couldn't decide who was the most talented. Sadly John Bonham died far too young, and later he was replaced by his own son, who is an awesome drummer in his own right. I think "Ramble on" would be worth a reaction, or "Living loving maid" but frankly they made so many great songs.
Love Ramble on, When the levy breaks, and California were and still are some of my favorite songs by Led Zeppelin ♥️
Led Zepplin rocked so hard that even now, 50 years later, seismologists still have to subtract the aftershocks from their data.
Brilliant metaphor
Awesome. That is awesome poetry that does not need to rhyme.

This is the music I grew up with, luckily. Pure talent and never ending pertinence. Legends for sure.
Jimmy Page does much more than dabble. He's a guitar legend.
One of the best guitarists in the world
Absolutely one of the best, My #1jimmy page.
Because Paige Bonham and Plant were so special it's understandable but I'm always sad that bassist, John Paul Jones oftentimes gets overlooked. He was most complete musician of all in the band. I've heard him described as a musical swiss army knife and was a fantastic bassist, composer and arranger.
I consider Led Zeppelin, the 1st Supergroup
We need more love for bassists. I'm a multi-instrumentalist. Started with piano when I was very young, but I fell in love with the bass. Piano initiated me into music, and bass solidified my love for music

Led Zeppelin is a great start. And there are many others. Keep listening.
Watching you discover Led Zeppelin was such a joy for me. Thank you! This was the music I listened to in high school. Check out their double album Physical Graffiti. Sooo Good!
Heart did a amazing rendition of this when Led Zep were honored at the Kennedy Center honors. Watch it! Jimmy Page (your genius guitar player) smiled through it and Robert Plant (the singer) was brought to tears. Jon Bonhams son played drums in place of his dad in heaven. I’m sure others told you, but after Bingham died, the band didn’t go on. Plant esp never got over it. True friends.
BRANCHING OUT......VERY GOOD MOVE LOVE LED ZEPPELIN
I appreciate it but thank clou9 e we were talking about it I didn’t know them he suggested
One of the best bands ever. I remember the day John Bonham died, people were crying and freaking out. I've met Robert and he was seriously kind and normal. He didn't even know my now ex had worked with some huge name friends of his. He just had a conversation with a stranger in line at the grocery store like any other human.
I would die of happiness to have a conversation with him.
I finally scored tickets to a concert in Detroit and I heard Bonhan died. I knew it was the end. Broke my heart. ❤
Bonham
Found out in the high school parking lot where a bunch of friends were meeting to arrange camping shifts to get tickets.
I can vouch for your opinion of Robert Plant! I have had the the privilege of meeting him several times and having a lengthy conversation with him, he is the most down to earth individual you could ever meet.
He's so confident because they were so good. He's a sweet soul, too.
The best song wow thank you for that. The drummer was one of if not the best drummers ever when he died the band knew he couldn’t be replaced and broke up - it was a sad time for them and for their fans - that was great you should do more like these
And my generation took the the music for granted. There was no auto tune, no synthesizer, just pure talent.
Little did we know that it would become a novelty to hear "real instruments" and actual skill.
Hes using a synthesizer actively on stage 😆
Good thing about the younger generations is that they're able to take good music not for granted when they hear it.
Exactly 👍
I was at Madison Square Garden in nyc under one of the large speakers where they played this song, it had just come out to the public, it was a trip without the acid. I lost a degree of my hearing under that huge speaker, but had no regrets because I gained a high vibration in my soul! Now this is music, I feel sorry that todays sounds are so mechanical and the younger generation accepts it as music. Mechanics don’t touch the soul, how sad!
Robert Plant on vocals and Jimmy Page on guitar is pure Heaven. I was blessed to be born in the early 60’s.
And Bonham....unbelievable talent

Thank goodness we exposed him and his siblings to them, Stevie ray vaughn , Elvis, Roy Orbison, heart, fleetwood mack, and on and on! I think it exploded a great love of all music in them.
Robert Plant, lead singer, is still amazing, on his own, as well as with Allison Krause and so many others
I TOTALLY LOVED YOUR REACTION! YOUR CLAPPING AT THE END AND YOUR HUGE SMILE!!! EVERY ZEPPELIN SONG DESERVES TO BE ENJOYED ❤🎉❤🎉
thanks fam I appreciate you love and respect
Love your dimple
Your friend was doing Whole Lotta Love! Do it live from MSG 1973...you will love it!!
YES YES
wow you know these guys vey well
YESSSS! Do "Whole Lotta Love".....You won't regret it!
least words of a Zeppelin song
Yes, it is a great one to start out on since it was the first song I ever heard by them. It was on AM radio--before FM became the big thing. That was the great thing about the early seventies, you'd hear a song like this, followed up by maybe Glen Campbell then someone like the Jackson 5.
You can pick any Led Zeppelin song and you will never be disappointed.
Amen.
‘Facts’ - RDiss
😉
You're right, there are no bad ones.
It's hard to convey how radical bands like Led Zeppelin were at the time. Before this era, radio -- which was how we heard new music -- never played any songs that were longer than like three and a half minutes long. Then along came Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, et al who were writing these long masterpieces.
Your voice is awesome man! It's like a melodic version of Vin Diesel's voice!
It blows my mind to realize there are people in the world who have never heard of the greatest rock band in the world! Keep listening! The rabbit hole is deep & wonderous
Indeed hg. I will even forgive you for inserting an unnecessary "e" in wondrous ..haha
It’s not as if they’re an obscure band like Captain Beefheart. Led Zeppelin are literally one of the most well known bands
The kids shouldn't be listening to old stuff like Led Zep or The Beatles, they should be out there making their own music. It's a sign they're growing up when peer pressure diminishes and they check out what us oldies call 'proper music'. Rock on dude.
Watch “hearts” tribute to them from rock and the roll Hall of fame and they are sitting in balcony watching and pretty much crying
That whole show was awesome! It’s amazing how Humble they all seem! They are legends and have still not gotten too big for their britches! 😉
Sooooo fantastic!
2012 Kennedy Center Honors
It was The Kennedy Center Honors
Came here to suggest this. That would be a great reaction to see!
I'm 72 yrs old. I saw them in Houston 10 times. AWESOME.
Great Reaction! Fun Fact: This song is based on J.R.R. Tolkien's trilogy "Lord of the Rings". Another of their songs "when the Levee Breaks" is also referring to The Trilogy. That song is worth reacting too... as most of Led Zeplin are worth listening too.
"When the Levee Breaks"doesn't refer to the LOTR, it about the 1927 Mississippi flood, that put the whole delta under water, leaving tens of thousands of people stranded on the levees, for weeks. The other song you're thinking of is " Ramble On ".

How can anybody sit through this horrifying Specimen of Narcissism..
So many to choose from! "Since I've been loving you", "Kashmir", "Immigrant Song", " In my Time of Dying", "Achilles Last Stand", "When the Levee Breaks", "You Shook Me", "No Quarter", "Nobodies Fault but Mine", "Dazed and Confused", "Whole Lotta Love", "Heartbreaker", "Blackdog", "Rock and Roll", "The Lemon Song", "Dy'er Maker," "Trampled Underfoot."
"Since I've been loving you" is, without a shadow of doubt, the finest ever recording of a blues track there has ever been.
Literally all of these are a requirement
If there are any other songs....Ummm start with the rest of LZ IV aka “Untitled” and prepare yourself for the rest of the catalog. LZ I, which is an amazing debut album that was embarrassingly criticized by Rolling Stone and led to the band’s shunning of the press, is a great start. It is, IMHO, one of their best albums.
And you are just getting started . Literally every song of theirs is a masterpiece .
Welcome to Led Zeppelin! Lemon song, When the Levee Breaks are two great ones. Anything Live really
Yea I prefer rock live cuz you know it’s going to be great especially when they give the solo to the guitarist or drummer in this case both it is something to be respected it’s such an art any instrument is an art really weather it’s vocals or made out of metal thanks for the post fam
@@ROMsquad the Lemon Song is Jimmy Page's take on Howlin Wolf, Killing Floor; Duane Allman and Boz Scaggs, also, have a take with Loan me a Dime. Zeppelin's, tea for one is another take, it's on Presence, as is Achilles Last Stand.
Not to forget john paul jones on bass lemon song
@@aviatom1 to die for ...
I was 17 when Led Zeppelin hit town. They’re the best rock band - ever.
Robert Plant is a mystical genius ❤❤❤
The beauty of being 60 was living the greatest music ever.
Amen to that!!!
I'm still a hippy.. dress and all!!!
Im 75 and had the best iof t all! Still a rocker grannie!
@George Glass the 90s can't hold a candle to the 60s and 70s.. lol sorry friend
@George Glass lol I've been around 60+ years.. heard all kinds of music...I'm partial to the 60s and 70s
63 year old white guy here. Excellent to see you enjoy breaking down music that is new and different to you. Music I grew up on in what I consider the best decade ever, the 1970's. You made this a fun watch!
True musical genius ! Many rock bands of the 70’s produced music which will stand the test of time.
I am a 70 year old female and saw LED Zeppelin live on their Stairway to Heaven tour. For $6 we had seats at stage level 6 feet away from the band. Robert Plant - lead singer- was known as a screamer and every female I knew said he could scream in their ear anytime and was the absolute sexiest man in any band. The term they used to use was that he could make you cream your jeans! lol. They didn’t have a warmup band just came out played for 4 straight hours and left. The most incredible show I ever saw and I saw many many concerts from Santana to cream buddy Giles allman brothers eagles and so on and so on. Concerts were every weekend at the San Diego sports arena all seats were $6 no matter who was playing. Thank you for doing this it brings back so many memories.
Dude, I feel sorry for your generation. I was a teenager in the 1970’s and 80’s surrounded by these incredible rock bands. Led Zeppelin is the pinnacle. Listen to more and be converted.
best ever
Agreed, well said.
agreed,
im loving it
Oh, so, so true. Born in 1974, I grew up with live music, my Dad a hobby jazz musician, me, a choir kid from age 6 until I graduated from the conservatory with a degree as vocal teacher for popular music (jazz). I have been surrounded and immersed in live music and have no comprehension how people can not be familiar with this world.
I could talk for a whole day about that song alone. Watching you enjoy it like that, & the things that hit you, about it... was priceless 👍🧡 That drummer was the reason I play drums, and everybody tuned their heaviness levels after hearing him dance with the heavy footed, uncluttered snare drum style. He died in 1980 after partying too hard, & it ended the bands time. He was 30 yrs old when he died, and had a gold record on his wall for this song when he was 18yrs old. Led Zeppelin Owned the 70's. They were from Britain, & That Guitarist left nothing for anyone else to do at the time. They influenced everybody. The chemistry between their playing styles was legendary. John Bonham(drums) Robert Plant (vocal acrobatics) are the babies of the band, the other 2 were older studio players, who produced other bands like Bad Company, & The Hurdy Gurdy Man Album, & they played on other peoples songs often when others couldnt cut it, at producers asking. Their guitar player had a personal relationship with the guitar inventor Les Paul, & was given first crack at new releases of next years models.
This performance was from 5 nights sold out at Madison Sq Gdns 73", an attendance record back then. This song was a number 1 hit for 10-15 years on Rock stations. The studio version is on Zeppelin 4.
If you like those keyboards? Lookup "All of My Love". Its a short sweet song with an amazing keyboard solo.
You Have a Good Ear.
Also, Listen for the french horns on the studio version of THIS song... my friend, that sound producer was a lagend as well. Their sound system was Huge! He could record the drum sound like nobody ever in history, The only drum recording that comes close is who you mentioned, METALLICA. Metallica replaced this band as the badge holder of the heaviest band for a decade.
I know you will check this band out more, I am gonna subscribe and check more of your vids out.
I hope you like what I wrote, it is only a blip of how awesome Led Zeppelin was. 😎👍
Dude I love you fam you just got me jumping out of my seat . Im excited about this band can't wait to see everything . Thanks for the love fam. mad love and respect back to you
Selling Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones as “older studio musicians”? Wow! Other than that love the comment!!
@@ROMsquad can you tell me who playe ' Tubular Bells' I used t listen to it a lot mid 70s while driving 100 miles every second night to see my daughter at my parents place. psych nursing, 2x 12 hr shifts the 2days off. great hospital in Melbourne .Australia Tubular Bells keeps coming to mind.

@@janice.aitken3533 That song is by Mike Olddield
Zep is one of those bands I don't particularly care for, but also can't deny how great they were. Especially with a lot of that early live stuff. Definitely legendary status for good reasons.
As a 63 year old who grew up listening to them they have and always will be the best. They had a movie out in 1977 I saw it at the drive in. Dang Im old. It shows Robert Plant with his son that passed away as a little boy. He got some stomach bug from his sister she got rid of it but his son Karac did not. So sad. Robert Plant still tours and sings with Allison Krause now. I follow him on instagram. Best band ever. Heart paying honor to them at the Kennedy awards is awesome. I’ll be seeing Heart play here in Ohio this Wednesday. Hoping they sing Stairway to Heaven they did in 2014.
One of best bands ever!!!

Babe I’m gonna leave you is my favorite Zep song.
Can I add When the Levee Breaks..
Thank you- my favorite.

"I don't think this is their only big hit." I love it! Naw dude, there's only about 107 more. You just simply started with their biggest and by biggest it's only generally considered to be one of, if not the best rock song ever made as well as among the top songs period ever made.
Keep checking them out my man and there will be no disappointment n your future, I guarantee you.
🥰
So glad you liked it!
They are a British Band.
I was lucky enough to see their last British concert/ festival in Knebworth here in England in 1979 as the original wonderful four.
Robert (Percy) Plant who, as you were asking, has an accent from around Britains Midlands, Wolverhampton, a bit posher, but similar to Ozzy, on vocals,
Jimmy Page, guitar,
John Paul Jones piano/organ and bass, and
John Henry (Bonzo) Bonham, on drums, who sadly passed away shortly afterwards.
His son, Jason has, on occasion, taken his Dad's place on drums, and the bowler hat Bonzo often wore.
The group agreed it wouldn't be Zeppelin without him, a good friend of Roberts from way back.
Though regrouping with Jason for a few 'comebacks'.
The remaining members of the group went their separate ways and tried various other bands etc and have had a few comebacks, but lost a quarter of what made Zeppelin...so great...Bonzo!
...
Heart, did a wonderful rendition of Stairway when Zeppelin were awarded for
their Contribution to Rock music at the Kennedy Center's Honours 2012,
with Jason, who, I believe is Robert's Godson, in his Dads Bowler hat, on drums.
By the end, Robert, Jimmy and John Paul a had tears in their eyes, as did most people watching.
Heart, being two sisters and their band, did very well, with a surprise ending that took even Barak Obama by surprise.
Please give it a whirl. You can also get a DVD of The Song Remains the Same, that, I think, was the video you were watching Stairway from.
Also the Knebworth Concert that I went to.
Very lucky, as they only put on my show, as the first was a sellout on the release date...not easy in those days. I got my tickets for the following week from a kiosk in a sideroad just off Londons Oxford Street!
Happy Days!!!
Hope I've helped a little.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Playing the actual instruments....that never happens these days. Unmatched talent!!
I love how you keep saying how smooth he was. Yes he is. Because he is natural talent. No auto-tune, no crap to enhance his voice. He was and will always be a rock God. Says the lady who’s nephews middle name is Zepplin. 😂 Not a coincidence. 😉
Brilliant.
There's a reason why classic rock is classic. It breaks my heart that no one makes any more of these songs. This one is 50+ yrs old.
Jimmy Page absolutely kills it Live !!! Guitar Lengend !!!! Robert Plant has the best Rock voice ever !!!
we learned more about peace love and god
Love Paul Rodgers.
I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert just after LZ IV came out with this song on it, when it was fresh and novel and hadn't yet become the most requested song on rock radio stations... they played for nearly four hours with one break in the middle. I miss those days.
The ‘glee’ felt by experiencing the phenomenal Led Zeppelin‼️🙌
