The confusion was almost certainly based on the judge's wording when telling the jury everything they needed, is there.. regarding Kirby testimony. Even with a read back it wouldn't help because... the info they requested wasn't in evidence.
The jurors are members of our peers. Maybe not as articulate but still deserve to be respected regardless of their language. I’m sure the defense is angry but we wouldn’t be here if they’d done the right thing to begin with. Give the juror’s what they need.

Testimony is evidence - so the attorneys can read back the witness's testimony to the jury, but that's it. The jury had to write down any notes they believed were important. It's not the judge's fault.
It is very common for jurors to send a note to judge for clarification of certain issues. If clarification weren't allowed, there would likely be many more mistrials.

Seems to me the plaintiffs just relied on a 200 million lump to be split between them . Even though the verdict forms were specifically designed before the deliberations with both sides. I don’t know why but that defense attorney with glasses who hasn’t spoken a word comes off as smug and creepy af. Even when the defense was making closing arguments he was looking at his fellow counsel with just a perplexed look, yet every other attorney on the defense was calm and respectful with their body language. In a case about optics they sure fumbled having him on the team. In my opinion.

very sad, and very hard to understand when your sitting in this situation relaying on at least some judgment from the jury, and unfortunately this is how it is. people are mean spirited and so true on having had my own experiences from hospitals poor behaviors, courtrooms, and a jury these are now the realities of peoples behaviors, with many professionals, and even with so much trauma involved🥀

Information from demonstrative aids is not evidence. Same for opening and closing statements/arguments.

I don’t know why but that defense attorney with glasses who hasn’t spoken a word comes off as smug and creepy af. Even when the defense was making closing arguments he was looking at his fellow counsel with just a perplexed look, yet every other attorney on the defense was calm and respectful with their body language. In a case about optics they sure fumbled having him on the team. In my opinion.
