It really does seem like sometimes people get them when there’s no reason at all, and other times when it’s obvious that they should be granted one but aren’t. So I wonder how that judge feels now. But in all reality I doubt it would’ve made a difference with this guy.
I haven’t followed this case but tuned in just now and heard him say the gun went off and I thought why was he around the victim? So he was outside the man’s apartment which was not an accident bc he had no business being there. My heart breaks for her
I read some of the details and apparently he searched how to kill your ex's finance, took shooting lessons after learning about their relationship, and tried to get a job serving food at the same school the victim worked. This guy is full of you know what, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Surely he didn't think, even in his so called " wrong mind" did he think he would get off after stalking these people. What a narcissist. Guess it doesn't hurt to try.
Next time go to the courthouse & get the verdict! What an entitled Karen!! Be thankful you received the Verdict as it happened from the comfort of your home/work/car…
There's no help for stalking. I was stalked as a teens for years, by my friend's older brother's friend. It started when I was 13. I couldn't get a restraining order back then, 30 yrs ago, they'd barely started doing them, & it had to be an ex husband or lover. It took him stalking FIVE other teens, before they locked him up in a mental health facility. I was stalked again in my 30's for ten years, by a lady I NEVER EVEN MET. I started babysitting for my neighbor. His ex had beat the kids, & was in jail. She was restrained from being near the kids, or any school, or any care. She followed us everywhere, would sit in front of my house daily, broke into my house, slashed multiple tires repeatedly, would leave threatening notes, stalked me online, by phone calls even after I changed my # repeatedly, attacked me in the driveway, waited in my bushes & attacked my hubby, stalked my kids at their school where her kids didn't even go, would follow me EVERYWHERE, even out of town. It took 7 years of video & dozens of police reports, before I got a TRO approved. Even after that, the cops would NEVER arrest her. I finally moved to another town, where she tried stalking again, but our small town cops told her they'd prosecute, & she stopped. We literally had to buy a house with no street parking, to get her to stop sitting in front of our house. Crazy, smh.
17:39 THANK YOU for mentioning that him trying to use autism as an excuse is NOT OKAY! I am autistic and I cannot stand when other autistic people use it as an excuse to harm others. It is never an excuse and any good-hearted autistic person would never do these things. It came from his entitlement, anger, and jealousy, his lack of self-control (which he should have been trying to work on), and inability to take accountability for his own actions and behavior.
He has to have been found quilty with the Jury already back. One thing that I have noticed in the last year or so is these Jury Members are not playing around the boy in the box was 1hour 10 minutes, the mother who shot her 5 yr old and tried to blame her 2 yr old came back in 1hour 17 minutes and now this one
Well they’re all there for up to 2 weeks sometimes, or more. They’re taking it all in. Jury doesn’t feel like discussing it all too much in depth when they’re unanimous. What they seem to take time on debating or added charges. If the murders are pretty clear, why stall?
Oh one very important commonality between these defendants is that *they testified.* So the juries get to see them firsthand - it’s always the strongest evidence for a jury and can mess up even a great case counsel has been building for their defendant.
@@danahsutton101 his DNA was on her gun that she pointed at him in his car. If I try to snatch u out your car then pull my gun and point it at u, you'll be a fool not to fight back. fool
I have been stalked for the last 4 yrs by my ex (the worst mistake of my life) . I went to the court to get help and I was sent to see another judge, a month later, ( the judge did not know what I was taking about) I just wasted my time. until this day the narcissist keeps stalking me.
Stalking behaviour has nothing to do with false pride. It seems like it does, but it doesn’t. A stalker doesn’t even have to know you or have had a relationship with the victim. All that’s necessary is that they somehow in some way crossed paths with you. In this case he obviously knew her, but it absolutely is not pride that causes them to stalk you. It’s control they’re after. Everyone’s taken a blow to their pride at sometime in their life but for some reason there’s a very small percentage of the population that goes to this extreme step. I would bet there’s even history with this guy. Maybe not to the same degree as this, but I bet there’s other females that he has stalked. For me all it took was the guy hearing my voice over the phone. He had never met me. He had never seen me. It took an investigation and police intervention for it to end. But I doubt there was anything that could’ve stopped it with this guy.
Lock him up! My deepest condolences to victim’s family and fiancée and students. Revolting. Alvarez has ruined many lives. I hope he gets the sentence he has earned.
There are a few reasons people don’t tell other people they’re being stalked. One of the biggest reasons is because the more people you tell the more chance there is that the stalker will find out. The other reason is that when you do tell people those people tend to tell you that it’s not as bad as you think, that you overreacting, and make you question yourself. Even if they’re well-meaning in saying these things it still makes you question your own experience. This kind of stalking behaviour is so out of the norm for most people that they don’t recognize it when they see it.
Isolation is actually the kindling of a stalker. It only helps them further. I was stalked once and I told everyone - family, workplace, friends, even acquaintances if it came up during conversation. I felt that I needed to cover my bases if I was in different environments where these people could help me. I once had an acquaintance call her husband up to drive me home because she was concerned for me - the stalker was waiting outside my workplace. My job even modified some of my duties - I called the stalker out in public. It doesn’t work for every single stalker, but it helped in mine immensely. They must have gotten spooked and backed off - found out they ended up stalking someone else some time later. I’m so lucky but I was also proactive and determined to tell everyone. Didn’t care if it made me look crazy at first, I knew eventually they’d see and they did.
I can't imagine being stalked. My heart breaks for the victim's family and the ex that the creep wouldn't leave alone. Thankfully he's off the streets so he can't do any more harm.
Check mate... Glad he was found guilty now it's time to face the consequences of his actions, which was premeditated... Watched from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦
As someone who has been stalked and harassed by someone like this I can tell you I didn’t tell people anything bad about the person because that is more dangerous. It’s best to let the abuser lie and say and do what they want, don’t say anything and just keep moving. Hopefully eventually they will find a new obsession. Plus people don’t believe you anyway when you tell them about the abuse. It’s better to just get away alive, say nothing but get away.
PSA to all men and women. There are too many people out here that will love you for just being you. Just take the time to build yourself up into a quality partner. No need to throw your life away because someone doesn’t want you any longer. You lived without them before you met them and were fine so you’ll be fine when it’s over and you don’t dwell in despair over it.
I knew he was gonna be found guilty. The defense attorney's opening statement about the physical battle the suspect had with the victim makes no sense after medical pictures of the suspect show no signs of foul play between the two. The suspect's history of stalking also played an important role.
Stalking a person is just like hunting an animal or worse!! 😢 I have been and my stalker even got on a Naval Base when I felt the safest!! The Guards had his picture and knew what he drove!! I WASN'T SAFE ANYWHERE!!
He was stalking her? Really? Did he have those glasses that he has on now when he allegedly stalked her? I don't believe he did. Why would he stalk her? Because she is slim and beautiful? Because she's sexy? Why? She's just so appetizing he couldn't control himself? Obsession? Obsessed with what? Pretty eyes? Let's see. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. And No.
You really need to learn about stalking. You think it’s about being good-looking, about the person being so attracted to you that they can’t help themselves. It’s not. It’s about control. The fact that you would even equate stalking behaviour with having to be beautiful tells me that you don’t have a clue what it’s about. Maybe one day you’ll find yourself in this woman’s shoes. When some nut starts following you, showing up everywhere you’re at, phoning you all the time, showing up at your job, harassing you, and making you feel really uncomfortable, and then unsafe. And doing to you what this guy did to her. MAYBE then you’ll get it. A stalker doesn’t even have to know you. And a lot of the time they don’t know you. All that’s required is that in some way they came into contact with you. It could even be over the phone. They are not rational people. They don’t live in reality. And people that do this tend to do it over and over and over again. All that changes is the subject of their obsession.

Restraining orders just piss them off more
And even worse, when a victim applies for one and the judge denies it it just emboldens the stalker.
