@jmb1215 the FL5 is definitely a very very fun car to drive, and I daily mine. It's probably 70% as fun as the Porsche, but with a much lower price tag 😄
Wow never knew the track logging had that much info. Thanks for sharing. Do you know if this connects to the Honda Sensing app? If yes it would be amazing to analyse the data on a phone or tablet instead of in the car

It wasn't until I had a buddy who is considering buying an FL5 jump in for a ride-along that we figured out how to configure the LogR system. Very cool when it works, but I had two situations where it suddenly disappeared from my screen while on track: once when I heard a noise from either my car or someone close (don't even know what the noise was) during a lap, and the other when I missed a shift from 4th to 5th and instead started to engage 3rd before I quickly stopped it - glad that's all that happened. Now to figure out how to download the data from LogR. The download button doesn't appear for me, and seems to indicate something needs to be done to enable it, but I can't figure out what, or whether it needs to be done on my phone or on my FL5.
interesting, I never had that happen to me before, but I only used the datalog a couple of times only. Probably best to take it to your dealer and have them investigate why that happened
Hi from Australia! Excellent video, thanks! Loving my R, but yes its a very different experience to Porsche (mine is a 981 GT4). Honda has nevertheless produced an exceptional car.
Yes, it is a very capable and fun car! I love the 981 GT4, we just did a review on it against a 718 GT4, you could check that video out on our channel as well. So do you like the TypeR better or the GT4? 😄
@@sundaymorningdrives hahha! it’s not fair to compare them. The Porsche is in a different league. But they are each excellent in their class/category. Dynamics, braking, sound, gear change, throttle response all better on the GT4, as you’d expect as it’s a bespoke mid engine sports car built by the best in the business.

@@sundaymorningdrives yes I track it and I love it so much... Before I owned a 991.2 gt3 manual and a gt4 981....the 992 is a real supercar... But sometimes I would like to drive on track and on the street something more "easy".... I owned a Yaris gr too but it was too small to bring the family with me

Yes it does, you will have to download the Honda LogR App on your phone to download the data, have you tracked your Type R yet? 🙂

Does Honda NZ have a track warranty? If not do you think having records on logR could potentially void your warranty?
Could be, if you are that careful about your car. But it would be a shame not to enjoy its full potential on the track 🙂

Yes it does. I think most modern manual cars have this function, except for Lotuses, haha 😄
