I do wish we had full costume reviews for Star Wars, Mortal Kombat 1, and some of the other games that came out that could have deserved a full skit review

Yeah, Alex and OJ are already involved in the classic style "Angry Review" videos through skits, and those skits are sometimes better than the review itself. This is akin to the format they use whenever they discuss movies or TV shows and, let's be honest, is very low effort and lazy. This is basically just a short podcast that doesn't at all separate Angry Joe from any other UA-cam reviewer. You'd think Angry Joe would be excited to do more Warhammer based skits where he can play around with his props with how much of a fan of the franchise he is. Apparently their costumes didn't fit them or something and so I guess they just gave up on a proper Angry Review. But these game reviews are becoming increasingly uncommon while they spend hours of their time watching TV and movies instead. It makes me wonder if they're burnt out on video games and aren't even playing video games anymore.
I mean other smaller channels get there reviews out a week after release and it helps people decide what they spend their money on. Why is it taking Joe and the team nearly two months, all his reviews come out super late, surely he’d want to do it while the iron is hot keep the channel growing.
The best part of AJS reviews are 1. A very diverse panel of people who like different kinds of games. 2. An honest review. Even when Joe is a mega-fan he will call BS when it shows up. 8/10 for a game most blind fans would give an 11/10.
😂 OJs Space Marine sounds like his name is Terrance Edit: Shoot I forgot, my biggest gripe with customization is similar to Alex's, I feel like I can't customize my marines to the degree I normally like. (Then again, I got disappointed that I couldn't Color individual armor plates and segments of armor because I was trying to make a mirror of my customized marines so I might be *slightly* hyper fixated) Its otherwise not bad at making prestablished chapters. It does suck tho that you can't mess around with the chaos armors (tho that maybe dlc)

HEY Angry Joe Some contructivbe criticism my friend... Love your channel and show. I dig how you want to provide a great variety of contant on the channel to keep your fans and subs entertained. You got alot going on right now and I can see how busy you guys are. I would reconsider some of the things you guys do and provide and consolidate. Your review and everything you guys have been doing has been coming in late which I know hurts your videos view count as your upload is not hitting the algorhythms on time and losiing on additional views and being exposed to new viewers as well. And I can say the quality is also hurting a bit. Im not trying to hate...again i love you show and your vids still you guys are fun and hilarious but it suffering a bit. I enjoyed you review very informative..but man I missed the old format of it...maybe revamping your angry reviews w/ your initial input and how you normally do your angry review and before you give your final score have your segment w/ Other Joe and Alex and then back to the angry format for the final score. That way you can cut down on production cost and time and just worry more about editing and finalizing on time for the upload
I've seen your channel grow in content coverage over the years and I wouldn't want to stifle your fun and creative fire, especially doing it for so long, but I do miss your angry reviews.

I do not like this format. I like it for reviewing shows and movies. Game reviews should remain angry reviews in spirit and format. Quickfire is something else and thats fine. Just dont call these round tables an angry review because they simply are not. You run your channel however you like. This is just my opinion.
To make the 40k show, all they have to do is make it about an Inquisitor and their Retinue. You have the flexibility to make it an investigation, some action. It can start as heretic investigation eventually with more actual demons, even a Chaos Marine, then you can bring in other marines for certain times. I wouldn't suggest using an existing inquisitor in lore, a fully original story using an inquisitor. Have it limited to a single planet or a few planets (no more than a sector). I wouldn't even have the inquisitor themselves being the primary focus. Instead a member of the retinue with the inquisitor being the one who knows all the information and gives out the mission, consulted, reported to, etc.
For real, I get not looking Ultramarines but the space marines in general are by no means less cool than necrons of all things. I mean shit, why say necrons of all things? You get out of it what you put into it, if your marines are lame it's because you made them lame. Obviously there's no accounting for taste, maybe he just doesn't like the armor, but the lore for the marines is cool, if you like warhammer at all, you have to admit the Astartes are cool.

People see your channel and the title and have expectations on what that means we are getting. Your personal life is your personal life and if extenuating circumatances made this too difficult to work on, then thats the reality, no one can argue or accuse you of being lazy or anything. But as an outsider looking in, all im seeing is you spending 2 months not writing a script and basic edits i used to do with windows movie maker. You can always be honest and say in a video or channel post "Hey this IRL thing is majorly important so these games are gonna be Rapid-fires and we will scale down Angry Reviews for these games." Set expectations, let your audiences know ahead of time, cuz this is like getting splashed with cold water after a nice hot shower. You subverted my review expectations in a bad way.

What I love about Space Marines 2 developers is the fact they put "TotalBiscuits" name in the credits as he had a love and passion for the 40K Warhammer community and he really loved the first game. TotalBiscuits was well respected in the gaming community. The Emperor never forgets!!!
Well PvP wasn't even meant to be there but so many asked for it they threw it together. On the synapse being severed with Tyranids, it depends on the Tyranid. Small ones often turn and flee when their instincts kick in to hide underground and in isolated places which takes forever to exterminate. Larger ones like Carnifexes do the rampaging, while synaptic creatures like warriors and Zoanthropes retain independence and control on a much smaller scale.
7:00 the AI was bad?? I was honestly impressed at how AI followers were somewhat useful and not at all a Borden. I’m not sure what the floor is these days, but this ain’t it. I’d rather have computer Chairon and Gadriel than OJ and Alex speed running through every mission. I watched some of the stream and Joe was BARELY able to take in any of the environment because those two were sprinting through everything
They are just parroting what they heard since they didn't invest the time themselves to test this. To be clear the AI isn't -amazing-, but they're definitely not terrible either. The main drawback with them is that they don't dish out too much damage (though they kinda make up for this by also not taking much damage themselves). Normally I recommend playing through this game with friends, but like you said if they play like OJ and Alex and often rush through every setpiece, trigger every dialogue scene prematurely, and not pay any attention to it? Yeah lots of the smaller details will get lost in the sauce and bots would've made for a better experience overall.
feels like joe is a game reviewer who rarely reviews games. He's released 7 reviews this year, 2 of them being madden and college football, no hate to joe since when he does a review the skits etc are still great but it's probably just signs of wanting to expand doing other things.

Sorry Alex but space marines will always be front and center. Poster boys are poster boys for an reason. Not hating on the appeal of mortal soldiers facing the horrors of the galaxy. However, while sci fi super soldiers are not unique to warhammer, Warhammer space marines have such a unique aesthetic. The silhouette of a giant dude in power armor is synonymous with Warhammer.

You'd think, with how much you "love" the lore, the universe, setting etc, you'd give it the actual angry review treatment. More reviews with OJ and Alex is great. As much as I enjoy the classic angry reviews, not all of them have to be done in that style. Also, games with co-op, multiplayer, and/or grand experiences (Elden Ring) in mind like Space Marine 2 are perfect for this style of discussion angry review.

Shouldn't be putting out a review of a game when its been out over a month with plenty of patches ...very misleading. It's pretty great now and devs listen to the fans
I may have understood you guys wrong but I dont think you got the operations. These are "happening" parallel to the story and the voiced input you get during is actually the same you hear during the story only you are now on the receiving end. The example you used where the carnifex' attack is when the operation happens where you kill the hive tyrant and thus Titus is yelling that the team didnt kill the hyve tyrant and when they do the carnifex die. So Story and operations are intervowen, what they dont explain well is that you should play these after you played the mission that "triggers" them to fully get the story.
I personally like having Joe and Alex for more CO-OP focused games as I think that makes for a more full idea of what you are getting when we get to hear their perspective playing the same game.
I fell down the 40k rabbit hole very recently, just before Space Marine 2 was announced. Been loving every minute of it. Also loving Vermintide 2 and dabbling in Darktide. Got a fully painted combat patrol plus some other minis. I'm a committed Necron player now. And now AOS is calling my name. Those Seraphon are awfully tempting... My wallet may be bleeding, but I understand the passion of this fanbase now.
Finally a good game. I'm still playing co-op. I'm playing heavy since I'm bad at the dodging/ parrying. Just blow them up with Plasma. I didn't have any bugs or glitches described and I have a budget PC.
When I use the shield I can tank entire teams but I prefer using invisibility to just quickly run through the entire enemy squad and toss a nade square in the middle. Works pretty well. 👍
My feelings is to use the Rings of Power budget to put a live action Gaunts Ghosts to screen. No expensive alien effects work required, can be shot like Band of Brothers. To give a sense of scale to the different power levels, corrupted Men of Iron appear in the first book (season 1), Astartes show up on a few occasions (generic Chaos SM’s and Khornate Berserkers have cameos in the first and second book respectively with them popping up for more “screen time”, including loyalists, further down the line), daemons make an appearance in various forms later on. Then, once everyone’s hooked and wanting SM’s put up a Hollywood level cinema budget for some full on movies and give the people a Space Marine enema, starting with Brothers of the Snake.
The 40K stuff we should get in live action, is 2 things, and they both work great: -Eisenhorn, Gritty Detective -Gaunts Ghosts, basically band of Brothers

Angry Joe’s reviews are my favorite regardless of whichever style he goes with. In depth, classic angry, or rapid fire are all of the highest quality.
Now we just need a high budget movie to see on the big screen. Imagine watching something like Horus Heresy play out through several movies.

What I love about Space Marines 2 developers is the fact they put "TotalBiscuits" name in the credits as he had a love and passion for the 40K Warhammer community and he really loved the first game. TotalBiscuits was well respected in the gaming community. The Emperor never forgets!!!
Well PvP wasn't even meant to be there but so many asked for it they threw it together.
On the synapse being severed with Tyranids, it depends on the Tyranid. Small ones often turn and flee when their instincts kick in to hide underground and in isolated places which takes forever to exterminate. Larger ones like Carnifexes do the rampaging, while synaptic creatures like warriors and Zoanthropes retain independence and control on a much smaller scale.
7:00 the AI was bad?? I was honestly impressed at how AI followers were somewhat useful and not at all a Borden. I’m not sure what the floor is these days, but this ain’t it.
I’d rather have computer Chairon and Gadriel than OJ and Alex speed running through every mission. I watched some of the stream and Joe was BARELY able to take in any of the environment because those two were sprinting through everything
They are just parroting what they heard since they didn't invest the time themselves to test this. To be clear the AI isn't -amazing-, but they're definitely not terrible either. The main drawback with them is that they don't dish out too much damage (though they kinda make up for this by also not taking much damage themselves).
Normally I recommend playing through this game with friends, but like you said if they play like OJ and Alex and often rush through every setpiece, trigger every dialogue scene prematurely, and not pay any attention to it? Yeah lots of the smaller details will get lost in the sauce and bots would've made for a better experience overall.
They are even better now too I beat a run in ruthless on my own and none of my AI went down and neither did I xD

feels like joe is a game reviewer who rarely reviews games. He's released 7 reviews this year, 2 of them being madden and college football, no hate to joe since when he does a review the skits etc are still great but it's probably just signs of wanting to expand doing other things.

Sorry Alex but space marines will always be front and center. Poster boys are poster boys for an reason. Not hating on the appeal of mortal soldiers facing the horrors of the galaxy. However, while sci fi super soldiers are not unique to warhammer, Warhammer space marines have such a unique aesthetic. The silhouette of a giant dude in power armor is synonymous with Warhammer.

Nah... I'm out.... The title is definitely misleading... This is an angry discussion, not an angry review... You'd think, with how much you "love" the lore, the universe, setting etc, you'd give it the actual angry review treatment. Way worse garbage games got the full format and we would have waited for it.....

More reviews with OJ and Alex is great. As much as I enjoy the classic angry reviews, not all of them have to be done in that style. Also, games with co-op, multiplayer, and/or grand experiences (Elden Ring) in mind like Space Marine 2 are perfect for this style of discussion angry review.

Shouldn't be putting out a review of a game when its been out over a month with plenty of patches ...very misleading. It's pretty great now and devs listen to the fans
I may have understood you guys wrong but I dont think you got the operations. These are "happening" parallel to the story and the voiced input you get during is actually the same you hear during the story only you are now on the receiving end. The example you used where the carnifex' attack is when the operation happens where you kill the hive tyrant and thus Titus is yelling that the team didnt kill the hyve tyrant and when they do the carnifex die. So Story and operations are intervowen, what they dont explain well is that you should play these after you played the mission that "triggers" them to fully get the story.

I personally like having Joe and Alex for more CO-OP focused games as I think that makes for a more full idea of what you are getting when we get to hear their perspective playing the same game.
I fell down the 40k rabbit hole very recently, just before Space Marine 2 was announced. Been loving every minute of it. Also loving Vermintide 2 and dabbling in Darktide. Got a fully painted combat patrol plus some other minis. I'm a committed Necron player now. And now AOS is calling my name. Those Seraphon are awfully tempting... My wallet may be bleeding, but I understand the passion of this fanbase now.
Fan projects already proof, CGI is the way to go for Warhammer.
Finally a good game. I'm still playing co-op. I'm playing heavy since I'm bad at the dodging/ parrying. Just blow them up with Plasma. I didn't have any bugs or glitches described and I have a budget PC.
When I use the shield I can tank entire teams but I prefer using invisibility to just quickly run through the entire enemy squad and toss a nade square in the middle. Works pretty well. 👍

My feelings is to use the Rings of Power budget to put a live action Gaunts Ghosts to screen. No expensive alien effects work required, can be shot like Band of Brothers. To give a sense of scale to the different power levels, corrupted Men of Iron appear in the first book (season 1), Astartes show up on a few occasions (generic Chaos SM’s and Khornate Berserkers have cameos in the first and second book respectively with them popping up for more “screen time”, including loyalists, further down the line), daemons make an appearance in various forms later on.
Then, once everyone’s hooked and wanting SM’s put up a Hollywood level cinema budget for some full on movies and give the people a Space Marine enema, starting with Brothers of the Snake.
The people who were coping saying it’s taking long because they were waiting for costumes and stuff in shambles rn
The 40K stuff we should get in live action, is 2 things, and they both work great:
-Eisenhorn, Gritty Detective
-Gaunts Ghosts, basically band of Brothers
