After 9 years of constant warhammer lore this is the most incredible Story I have ever listened to.
Books are worth a read if you haven't yet
Second that the books are worth reading. This is just a brief summary and hits only the most basic notes.
Books gave me unrealistic expectations of what the rest of the library was like. Nothing can match these books though. Have read 70 or 80 more since reading these first last year and these just hit different. From the numeral slaves and the get the life below decks and their Stockholm Syndrome,and the thrill when you read the word PreySight and know that it's about to get real.
Night Lords the best
Uzas ended up being one of my favorite characters in 8th legion writing by the time his tale ended. Himself not being too unique, his story was told brilliantly.
His death is sad
My fav warhammer channel. I listen to this channel while I'm painting my warhammer commissions and while i lay in bed sleeping, ex veteran and i cant sleep without white noise. Tyvm amber king for everything you do.

Have you heard/read Throne of Lies? I came across it after downloading the Trilogy (Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver, and Void Stalker).
So glad you paid homage to my boy Talos. I honestly hated the Night Lords and found them generally cringe AF until I read this trilogy. Now I love them but only the "Talos" warband lol hopefully we'll get continuation of their arc with his "heir"
i doubt it can fit into 40k canon, a newblood night lord uniting the 8th, it should be impossible, the old high ranking officers could not do it. Only Kurze and Sevatar could ever make it happen imo.
38:25 i love how often youll have the Night Lords in a novel or something and they'll "Utter a single a word", that word ALWAYS being "Preysight" and it ALWAYS being cool af.

When I finish work I generally have the intention of either watching a movie, paint or play PS5. But when I see Warhammer content as premium as this I make my camomile tea and I kick back and listen to this masterpiece, thanks mate!

It's amazing that a traitor can be favored and loved by so many in this setting. I have completed the omnibus at least 5 times now and I tear up every time, but listening to you my friend, really stirs up the emotions. Talos Valcoran, the Prophet from Nostramo, traitor, whose life and subsequent death will forever be remembered, by those who know his tale. Thank you, brother.

This is brilliant, great work as per usual. I quit 40k in 4th edition and never expected I would return. Then I read the ADB trilogy and it re-ignited the fire. Characters like Sev and Talos are so interesting to me, your channel does them justice.
great production! I was always astounded when I first listened to the audio book and Talos has the balls to chastise Abaddon for using a too formal tone to reference Konrad Kurze lol such a great back and forth between the two

Talos impaling the assassin on his sword, and whispering “ave dominus nox” before igniting the chain sword is one of the coldest and badass moments in warhammer!

I just finished the books about a month ago. I’ve already read Da Big Dakka and half way through the Eisenhorn omnibus. But the Night Lords omnibus will go down as one of my favorites I’m sure anyone who reads it will agree. The 8th has touched my heart in this dark universe. Lol

Of all the traitor legions the night lords are my favourite. Their story and Curze’s story is so tragic yet poetic.

I wonder why ADB wrote Abaddon so differently in the night lords series vs the black legion novels. When speaking to Talos hes directly written as a poor leader with little charisma for winning the loyaltys of other traitor marines. In the legion novels hes a chad. Seems a bit strange

The fact that there are likely quite a few chaos marines that go into battle against imperial forces thinking that the heresy ended only months or even days ago, is endlessly fascinating! Can someone point me towards stories containing marines like this? I don't know of any but I assume there must be some 🤞
