Wow. Thank you for posting. That was when my Papa died. Couldn't be at the concert, but he was so dynamic, he would have found something good in the Tunes. Bless you all for the music. It's what he lived for. And so do I.
I used to own an 89 Strat plus that was set up like that with lace sensor pups and the roller nut. Mine was blue , wish I hadn't had to sell it. 😢 PEACE 💀👽🎸🎶🎵
He used his 1964 "Lake Placid blue" Fender Stratocaster for recording "In The Evening". To the best of my knowledge, "I.T.E." was the only song he used a Strat on.
Jimmy Page's solo just gets overwhelmed by the orchestra---drowned out. So he's left making these bits of high pitched squalls that fall flat. Too bad.
As a huge Led Zeppelin fan, I wanted to love the stuff Plant and Page did in the 90's, but I don't. I saw them both live several times, and saw them together as well. The feel just isn't there for me. Additionally, I don't share their enthusiasm for the East Indian influence and feel.

RIP peace Michael Lee(drummer)
He died how when he was just a kid
Still stunning that Mike Lee is dead. Dynamic drummer. Fit in well with the boys there.
@@lordoftheflyes3080 Lee died on 24 November 2008 from an epileptic seizure.
This is brilliant!!! You rock thank you so much
I hope you can share the rest of this video someday if you’re able to
A little "Carouselambra" at the bridge. Confounding.
Love it! That's really clever. Only a true Zep fan could make that comment.
@@buzzc5219 Thanks! It's awesome that you've got it.
The slow moody interlude of Carouselambra is my favorite part of that song, glad they included it in this arrangement.
@@AzaelVI Yes, I heard it too. For a minute there I thought they had switched from In the Evening to Carouselambra.
Carouselumbra rocks!
Holy shit, Page on a strat? Also, how cool was this performance? Completely revamped track to the original. Such great live performers.
I love that he played a Dano on a few songs back in the day too.
he used a strat when he recorded the song on the album. whammy bar is how he got that sound at the beginning of the guitar solo.
@@s.miller2648 Thanks for the info. So odd seeing him on that guitar still.
He played a strat on this song in led zeppelin too, on the 1980 tour over Europe
He plays a Strat a lot more than people think.
You can tell it's Salt Lake because they got the folding chairs out of the nearest Stake Center for the orchestra to sit on.
I live in Salt Lake. That is hysterical! 😂
I thought those chairs looked familiar...
haahahahaha. How did you guess??
Best band ever
Saw them play this at Knebworth it was awesome!
knebworth was a hundred years ago...
Way Cool....First night was the best performance of this song ever..IMHO
@@bishlap forty to be precise lol
This version is how it's supposed to sound
Though the strings are too loud in the mix
But the guitar sounds great
exactly, turn down the strings, turn Page way up and increase Garfunkel's mic!!
Killer solo from Jimmy!
F.Y.I. - Plant and Page come in at 2:30 in the sesson.
Thx
Michael Lee's drums were Hugh for Page and Plant in the 90's.....just Hugh.....
Who’s Hugh?
I think he meant huge
Page❤❤❤❤❤
Robert ! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
He's got a bull shark just for you honey.
Where did you get this? I was there and would LOVE to have the video for the entire show!

As was I
Me too!
Me too and I was in a lower boxed seat which had a great view and still one of the best shows I have ever seen
Page whit Strato Plus 90,s
I used to own an 89 Strat plus that was set up like that with lace sensor pups and the roller nut. Mine was blue , wish I hadn't had to sell it. 😢
PEACE 💀👽🎸🎶🎵
Thanks I was at this show for my 21st birthday haha--is this entire thing uploaded yet?
One of the only songs that Page uses a Strat on. Why? WHAMMY BAR!
For Your Life was played on a strat.
That’s Jimmy Fucking Page, kids. Show due respect.
Never seen Page with a Stratocaster before. Interesting.

@@jchis9852 For your life is the other song JP uses a whammy bar
@@debvanderhage9144 I stand corrected. Thanks for refreshing my gray matter Deb. 👍🏻
@@jchis9852 Watch the Celebration Day, Dec 2007, For your Life, with RP, JP, JPJ and Jason Bonham, u will see.
Blue box on the solo?
What is a blue box??
Is this river dance. ?
GREATEST ROCK SONG EVER?
We're an American Band, Grand Funk Railroad?
Good song but I think Nobody's Fault is better.

Same for me, I really wanted to like what they were doing at the time, it just fell flat for me, and I still don't get the Indian influence.
Screeching guitar sounds horrible give me back the Gibson 😉
its an mxr blue box
I tried to like this version, but without JPJ it just doesn't work. And the Jumanji music was a bit overdone.
Really terrible arrangement and then the strings were also way over EQ'd.
Depends where you were in the venue. Better balance in other areas. I was there....
