You guys should totally actually probably do a good full on upgrade to the front steering to make it far better for a machine as fast as this one. Otherwise, I think this thing is pretty cool. And as per always, keep doing what you do, because good lord this stuff never gets old.
I do miss the old days of watching y’all at this house it was just good times I grew up watching y’all and wishing I had cool friends lol then i met my best friend my wife that’s all I need
Got to make sure you put a 26mm carb on those 140cc engines. Its makes a huge difference in performance. Alot of the kits come with a 21mm. FYI. Would love to see you do a comparison on this.
@5:28 Gonna have to reiterate & make a quote out of that one. "IF you aren't sure it'll fit...ALWAYS just try to stick it on in there." -CarsandCameras 2022 😆
In regards to the steering, while watching Ike test out the 140 he was doing those 180s and I thought "that thing handles just like a warthog from Halo". Maybe a good theme for a paintjob down the road, something like Gunmetal Grey and OD Green with a jerry can in the back or something, getting the lights working would be cool too.
Hell of a job boys! Cool to see you guys goin back to the old shop for a build. Gta love a simple motor swap to bring the fun out of these chinese carts.
Heck to the yeah. I’ve got a project in mind where I take a lawnmower transmission and put it on my go kart. Either predator or continue to use my old 6 hp tecumseh
remember the time, i messaged u guys and told u to get into a 140cc pitbike engine.....cos its the sweet spot........particularly with atc 70'.........talk about nostalgic !!!!, lol, you guys have come such a long way..... Ive watch u guys from day dot......in a weird way i feel like i know the 3 of u better then u know yaselves.... ! i wanna see another rat rod wagon briggs powered but real "fancy like"....lol, custom paint, chrome everywhere , bored out, stroked up, the works...... and then i want it printed on a shirt and sent to australia.... i feel ive earnt it!... I think y'all should get 10 of your builds and have a day where you take turns and run them all on the grand prix and make it a hour long video. One of my favorite channels .
This thing is way better than before. I'd say throw some rubber with a little more traction on there. I wonder is the engine would fit after installing a big bore kit and some performance exhaust. This is really cool guys!
Watching John with that open end wrench while he was talking was driving my ocd crazy it’s like charles could hear me and or felt the same way as I thought in my head dude why no ratchet? …. Charles hands him a ratchet lol. Thank u Charles 😂
These 140s are fun to swap into small things! I've got a lifan 140 5 speed on a 2006 kawasaki klx110 and it's a blast. If I had the room I could probably pull a 3rd gear wheelie. I weigh 195 and the bike weighs around 100 pounds (maybe less since I can toss it pretty far) for reference. Right now I'm waiting on a big bore kit and a bigger carb so the bikes in pieces waiting for a refresh on everything (especially the brakes)
You swapped a klx110 for a pit bike engine lol that is a crime lmao I bet it's fun though and better in fuel and can blast all day without cooling down can thrash em for hours and not need work after an hours ride like some new bikes
Sometimes you have to wiggle the wire around to make sure it has a good connection!👍😬 As discussed earlier, the Scotch lock connector is not the best, but will work if hooked up properly!😉✌️ And you might have to do some jet work on the carburetor for maximum performance! Or close to it anyway!👍🤞🙏
What a difference that motor made pretty bad ass guys , great seeing you guys back where it all started to! Would love to see upgraded steering may be bigger tires and better caster🤷🏻♂️👍🏼🤩😎
Looks like fun! Add some actual knobby tires and go 33's? Oh yeah, you need a 1 1/4 inch straight pipe exhaust with a stinger! They are not your neighbors anymore. Just kidding Dad. ;)
My question is tho...but dont those style engines rely on moving air from driving to keep cool? And if so doesn't the seat restrict that from happening? Id be making some sort of air dam/ram box style to take air from above or bellow to force air flow across the head fins n so on..
@@tylertieman1678 there's enough there to help. 2/3rds of the tire has tread left , they look like they've been run way over pressured by the previous owner so at the right pressure those edges will dig in when turning with the flex of the side wall.
i built a go kart with my grandpa when i was 7, had a 420cc, was insane on one wheel lol wish i still had it would definately run a solid axel. oh and that go kart and smokey & the bandit taught me how to drive lol
Try some four wheeler mudd tires.& Rims on that go kart guy's. It'll handle way better than the last ones did easier to. Smaller four wheeler mudd tires.& Rims will work on that part. You might half to modify the mudd flappers./whee gaurds. You can also use A mountain bike derailleur for the chain tensioner guide to cause it's spring loaded to. Just fab up your own mounting bracket and bolt 🔩 it into place is all.
stick a mikuni 26mm carb and pitbike exhaust and oval muffler on it just chop the exhaust pipe down if too long and then it will be a monster with everything free er flowing trust me it will make a massive difference🤘🏽
Your parents neighbors are probably freaking out right now thinking you guys are back 😂. Take the muffler of and rip it down the road for old time sake.
I would be a little iffy about that chain rubbing the case, just saying I would inspect that real carefully to make sure that there absolutely no chance of it causing an oil leak. if there's no chance of an oil leak then I would go with it. those scotch lock things that you used, I don't have a complaint with them. I seen them quite a bit especially when adding a trailer light connectors. I've even used them myself without any issues. a person just has to make sure they are covered up and not left out in the open in the atmosphere. but I wouldn't recommend using them on important electrical components under the hood of a vehicle. I don't know but I think some people would bitch if they were hung with a brand new rope.
The 140 is really the Goldilocks engine for this kart- plenty of power, still decent on fuel! This was a fun one.
Can you share the name of the 140 engine? Thank you!
@@jeffeverest1 Probably a Lifan/Loncin/ZingChen or some sort of those engines.
9:39 Oh Charles is tiring to hide that laugh at what he said ha ha ha.
If that's the goldilocks zone then what would a Yamaha 530Tmax or kfx700 motor be...?

I've got a prime candidate for one of those engines! Where and how much can I get 1 for?

These two episodes were PURE nostalgia. What a cool little cart.
A new exhaust and a 26mm carb will do wonders! Nice vid as always
Charles is such a perfect addition to the channel. The 3 of you are great together! Very cool kart and the swap seems really simple!
only part of the throwback your missing is Ike being chased by an angry rooster lol.
Love the videos guys I’ve been watching for a long time I remember waiting for videos on the rat rod wagon being built
I loved how you guys took it back to where it all started
Nice seeing the side burns again Isaac!
Brilliant guys! Sort the alignment and tyres out then it has to rip round the official track back at the workshop!
Great Job! I can see alot of people outthere "Googling" 140cc engine.
That is EXACTLY what I am off to do… that and Craigslist for a Chinese go kart
Loved the whole two episodes…back to basics…now lawn can recover
Sounds like it could do with a little carb work for that bottom-end stumbling, or just a bigger carb, just to give it more power off the line... :D
Good to see a gentle running-in regime.

the "do not use" are fine if you check that the core of the wire is lined up before clamping down (if its not aligned it will just cut it)

Get yourself some 12-volt floodlights to mounted bracket on the machines for at night time traveling.& Use's to.
