    Also yes, I sequel teased an analysis video at the end. Be ready for when it comes out :^]

    Hmm, I always thought the whole Over the Rainbow film was a little rushed and a mess with all these different things getting thrown here and there. From the 3rd years being in Italy, to suddenly Mari getting married(which was never actually dragged on) and then Mari's mom going "mkay" right after one song, and then suddenly the focus went to Saint Snow. I thought it was too rushed, but this review really changed my POV, from only seeing the visuals and what's literally going on than also thinking about the whole meaning of the film itself. I like it! Thanks for the review and for tagging me to your video!💕😊

      You with a mustache I agree with the rushed stuff, Muse’s movie was an A to B story whereas OTR was “Oh no, a dilemma, okay dilemma fixed, oh no, another one and, it’s fixed”
      I still loved it, but you could have taken away a few elements and increased the time with Antagonist Mari’s mom and so on.
      I won’t say too much, I am thinking of doing a video review on my Nico Nico Honk page one day.

    Personally I feel like this movie had a lot of unnecessary plot scenes (mainly Italy) but in the end I still ended up enjoying more time with Aqours. This movie did give us masterpiece songs! Hop Stop Nonstop has instantly become one of my daily bops and we all know Saint Snow is legally obligated to give us bangers so Believe Again is also hype.
    Thanks for this video, I might have to rewatch it again. Seeing all this love for Love Live just makes me cry and feel so much joy. 💕

    "Conclusion" was exactly the right term to describe this film, cuz all in all, was the finale of Aquors journey as 9, but also, their new beginning as 6, and that 0 to 1 went indeed to something even greater.
    Love live deserves more respect, not because it's just an idol series with moe, but it's also a very meaningful and uplinfting story, and from my prespective, it's one that people must watch before they die, period.

    I was crying at the end of the movie. It was legit great and I sosososo wish I could of gone to see it in theatres. But I just couldn't do 2 and a half hours of driving (one way mind you).
    And as a massive ChikaRiko stan I gotta say I adored the scenes between those two. They're each others sunshine, the shining hand that pulled Riko from the dark grip of depression and the miracle that made Chika's dreams possible, and seeing them together on that beach where they've made so many memories together was absolutely wonderful.

    I’m going to be honest.
    For me I personally felt more of a connection to muse even though I only found anime in spring 2017 and love live in the fall of 2017(I was able to watch season two of sunshine as it was airing). I was just able to make more of a connection with muse. With that said, I felt like how season 2 of sunshine ended was better than bow season two of love Live ended. Water blue new world in my opinion is a far superior song to Kira Kira sensation and it shows more of how aqours has truly grown. When the announcement came for the movie for sunshine, I was skeptical since I ,like you, felt like sunshine had an amazing ending, while muse you still felt like something was missing. Now after watching Love Live Sunshine Over the Rainbow, I can say it was a really good movie. At times I felt like it was rushed, and some plots felt like they quickly where tied up, but seeing the girls moving on and facing more challenges than muse might have ever faced was great. The unacceptance of them from the students at their new school, how does aqours shine without the third years, even with how the girls where growing where just some of the challenges that these girls faced that muse never had to. Chika has become a leader and truly supports her group along with finally having confidence in herself/accepting herself. The music for this movie was amazing and each song fit in perfectly. Like I said earlier with my preference for muse over aqours, I feel like aqours did more. Muse had to overcome A-rise and just have each member give in their part. Once that was done, their wins where basically guaranteed. Aqours however had to overcome the fact that they whereby able to save their school and how the zero remained a zero until it finally became a one at the finals in love live. They came over so many hurdles to prove themselves and truly never had an easy way out of things. Thank you love Live for creating two completely different stories/groups/9(+1 for aqours) girls who came together to try to change the status quo and do the impossible.
    Zero kara Ichi e SUNSHINE!!!!
    Muse musical starto!!

    It's a simple message, "We'll always be in your heart" but it's executed so flawlessly. This movie did what I wanted it to do, confirm that message. Idk how much longer Aqours will be around performing and doing things IRL, but I know that in my heart they'll never die.

    after watching this movie i wasn't sure what to make out of it and wondered if this is was an worthy ending for Aqours but then in the ending show it all how perfectly Aqours continue the legacy that μ take everything they did every single step they took all of that was the radiance that they been looking for it isn't zero to one anymore bcs the story and achievements of Aqours will be meaningless but that is not the case bcs that story is what made them who they are,it has become a part of them not a single thing has disappeared they don't have to chase after what will never vanish thank you Aqours for the amazing journey that you guys given to us eventhough it's the end of Aqours they will always be in our feelings looking forward for Nijigasaki high school idol club next

      13 episodes of Nijigasaki should be out by now, despite the third story arc already out back in 2017. Hopefully they'll add a second season and another movie like the previous Muse and Aquors story arcs.
      Plus, they announced a FOURTH Love Live series scheduled to premiere in Japan when July 2021 hits. (Love Live! Superstar!!) The only thing they revealed was the name of the school idol group for Superstar, which is Liella.

    I waited so long for this movie I drove 3 and a half hours to see it in the only theater in my state showing it. All I can say is it was a surreal experience in that I couldn't believe I was watching Love Live in an American theater filled with Love Live fans. It truly was a special experience that I'm glad I didn't miss out on. That being said aside from the absolute BANGIN' music sequences the movie itself was a little disappointing in that most of the plot points felt pointless most of the time. The first movie felt way more focused and felt more like a proper conclusion than Over the Rainbow. I still loved every second of the movie because I'm such a diehard fan and I plan on getting the bluray soon.

    Personally, i liked the movie but i do feel like it didn't have a focus being all over the place. One second it's Mati's marriage then the next second it's something else.
    I feel like it would have been better if it focused on what the 6 will do now that the 3rd years are gone the other stuff (besides Saint snow) wasn't necessary
    It's still a blast to watch and a nice conclusion just not as good as it could have been at least for me.

    Find It fascinating that you have seen the movie 11 times already. Normally when I really love something, like my Favourite movie A Silent Voice, I try to have as much time as possible between viewings just to savour the content and analyse it over and over again.
    The 4 plot-line thing is exactly on point. All of them where so distinct yet interconnected. It is funny than in the K-On! Movie, the original School Idol Movie and this one they all go on a trip abroad, and yet they all fulfil such different purposes.
    Honestly I loved all songs (I popped So hard for Kiseki Hikaru) except for Brightest Melody, but to each their own. Next Sparkling!! is on its way of becoming my favourite Love Live! song.
    My favourite scene was at the very end when another student accepts Leah's invitation, and the dream continues.
    What did you think of how they treated Hanamaru as just a food vacuum? I really think they did a disservice to her character.
    Anyways, great review! I'm glad you found a piece of media that makes you feel that way.
    Quick question, Why do you say 10 instead of 9?

    • @WatTheWut
      @WatTheWut  5 років тому +1

      Every time I watched it I ended up loving it more than the time before also I’m obsessed.
      I’m planning a video on Hanamaru because people seem to think of a character isn’t constantly developing that they’re bad, but Hanamaru’s role in the series is arguably one of the most important. You can watch my video on Awaken the Power where I touch on that.
      Because Aqours isn’t nine. There’s ten. “It’s not just the nine of us”

    • @AfutureV
      @AfutureV 5 років тому +1

      @@WatTheWut I also think Hanamaru is a great character, but particularly the movie really does her a disservice. And I also think "It’s not just the nine of us" should not be then written as 10, I would do it as 9+ or something like that. 10 really *really* underplays the meaning of that phrase. But again, opinions are opinions, good video!

    • @WatTheWut
      @WatTheWut  5 років тому +1

      AfutureV ...Mirai Ticket?
      No. 10?
      Canonically the 10th member of Aqours WAS Uranohoshi

    • @AfutureV
      @AfutureV 5 років тому +1

      @@WatTheWut What do you want me to say? I heavily disagree with that terminology. I really think you are undermining the concept of the 10th member. It is not something to take concretely as canon, it goes beyond that. Saying Aqours has 10 members would be accurate thematically but inaccurate tangibly. (Hell, every music group in the world has more members than we see, but most of the rest are staff)
      Why limit it to Uranohoshi? The people of Uchiura that came to their first concert, all friends and family, the Tokyo audience who did not give Aqours a single vote, Saint Snow, and hell even in a meta sense: the audience, the fans, the staff, and everyone involved with Aqours' (anime and IRL) journey is the 10th member.
      It's also why I do not like when you call Yoshiko Yohane all the time. They are two different, albeit interlinked but not interchangeable, concepts. The separation is essential to the character.
      But again, I really appreciate that you are one of the very few UA-camrs who makes constant Love Live! content. Keep it coming.

    Okay, maybe I should actually start watching the whole Sunshine series, since I still haven't. When I first started it some of the characters like Dia and especially Mari seemed way too over the top for my liking and I didn't really feel any sort of connections to any of the characters. In the end I only read summarys and watched the scenes with Saint Snow, since Leah's voice actress was one of the main reasons wanting to watch it, besides having watched School Idol Project. I've read a ton of fanfics by now, mostly with Yohane involved but still haven't touched the original again

    Yes! "Believe Again" is amazing!
    (Yeah, probably SPOILERY)
    Ok, I watched this back in the 30th of March.
    I dunno about how the disparate storylines of the movie were "seamlessly woven together", especially the entire thing with Italy. They could've not gone to Italy, cause it REALLY did felt as pointless as Mari wearing pads. The conflict with Mari's mother was resolved by, if I remember correctly, them performing on the stairs of an Italian monument. Then everything was daijoubu.
    "Fun, entertaining, catchy songs, though sadly lacks any of the impact the muse movie had." Was what I wrote in Samsung Notes right after I finished the movie. It was indeed fun, entertaining, had catchy songs, but it felt more like an extended OVA that was supposed to be split into 4 OVAs.
    When the BDs (and subs) are out I'll rewatch it again, cause it felt like we watched somewhat different movies.
    What you felt for Over The Rainbow, I only felt for the 1st School Idol Movie.
    Don't get me wrong, I really like Sunshine (the TV series), but when what I felt in early S1 where I thought: Wait a sec, is Sunshine literally a parody and subversion of Muse? I was proven mostly wrong, but this movie felt as if they saw how The School Idol Movie copied the K-On movie and said to themselves: We have to have an overseas trip. It worked the first 2 times.
    Nope. Not for me, and obviously many others.
    I'm curious what your near future analysis video will say about this movie in depth though.
    I know of noone who would rate it higher than a 7. I gave it 7.

    I respect that we have different opinions but I have mixed feelings about the movie. I didn't like the first half when most of the plot was focused on the 1st and 2nd years going to Italy to look for the 3rd years and all the antics that were started from it. However, once the conflict between Mari and her mother ended, I found myself enjoying the rest of the movie. It wasn't anything special to me but I did enjoy it. I honestly think most of the first half could have been cut entirely and after a small amount of re-writing the story, you could turn this movie into an hour long special or two part OVA and have a better end product then what the movie turned out to be, just because of me not being interested in the "looking for the 3rd years" subplot

    Not that I like Love Live that much, I'm more of a K-on man, but this movie did change my perspective on Sunshine just because of how was the quality upped in the movie compared to the anime. I don't like it, I just don't hate it anymore.

    Gah! Honestly, I didn't like the movie and sadly found it disappointing, as I love Love Live! in general. I found it disjointed, rushed and truly 'meh'. The Italy arc was nonsensical and irrelevant, with the gag of Hanamaru overeating repeated ad nauseam. The best part of the movie was Saint Snow's "Believe Again" (oh boy is this song excellent), however Aqour's songs being Ok at best. This is probably the first time I've disagreed with you, and it sucks that it has to be over something Love Live related and to such a degree.

    Over the rainbow is fine, but the ending wasn't not powerful. However, sunshine girls are just perfect

    Never really understood the hype about Love Live! even after tuning in to two seasons of it. Same with K-On. Bland shows with no real-world dynamics at all, along with a weird fixation on keeping their casts limited to 99.9% women. Even harem shows have a better grasp on real world interactions between people (boys, girls, men, women, etc.) than these shows do. Don't these girls have actual lives and interests that would include people outside of the whole girls school universe? Why are there literally no men anywhere? Did they all die in an extinction event?
    Oh well, different strokes for different folks.
