    Ah I see the not so passive aggressives are here with their comments. Look, his channel his posts. He recommended pulling out the invasive when you can, so lighten up. You don't like it if he uses chemicals to assist, DON'T watch the video.

      @@EliLeeDesigns you’ll notice it taking effect in a few days. With crabgrass and creeping Charlie, a reapplication is most likely necessary. Clover doesn’t stand a chance. Happy mowing.

    Forget it. I have a 12000 sq ft property do you expected me to try to remove crab grass and creeping Charlie by hand. Forget it I know what to. There is no crab grass or creeping Charlie in my yard this summer. I worked on it all yr.

      @@tanyc4976 good question. Spraying on days with low/no wind is important. Also, this product is diluted with water. When mixing tenacity or products like that, yeah, gloves and boots are used.

    Good video, but can you specify which lawn type those products are good for? I assume (since you have the state of Minnesota shape on your hat) that you are speaking about a cool season grass lawn. How would those products work on warm season grasses (Zoysia, Bermuda, St. Augustine, etc.)?

    • @GetonmylawnMN

      @@EliotAnders good question, they will have a similar effect. But you’ll also need to do it during your maintenance season. This product should not be used during your growth season.

      You just need to wait until it’s dry. That being said, please always read the instructions on any product before application and follow those specific recommendations.

    I really wish I had seen this before. I applied the WRONG product to my yard, & now for the next few weeks will be reseeding large patches of where clover/charle (and also actual grass) once were.

    • @GetonmylawnMN

      That’s unfortunate. Good news, it can always be regrown. I see a lot of people using aggressive products, I don’t really like using non organic chemicals, I like the hose end sprayer ones as it dilutes it with water. I also pull most of my clover and other weeds by hand. But not everyone has that mentality or time. But trying to kill creeping Charlie without a chemical, as I reference we tried. It wasn’t worth it. I hope this was helpful.

    I’ve heard clover is a sign of low nitrogen.

      @GetonmylawnMN  3 місяці тому +1

      You heard correctly. Another good reason to check out my soil sample video and make sure your nitrogen and all nutrients are at their appropriate ranges. I have very little in my yard, but I get pop ups here and there. Happy mowing.

    Thanks for the video. Question in terms of using preemergent for crabgrass (I have a ton of it) - does it only prevent the seed from germinating only for the year the preemergent is applied, or does it prevent germination for as long as the seed is there? In other words, if you used preemergent in the spring and it stops a seed from germinating, will it germinate if you don’t use preemergent the following year?

    • @GetonmylawnMN
      @GetonmylawnMN  3 місяці тому +3

      So I reference this in the earlier spring weed control video. The seed that’s there now, you kill in spring with preemergent. But after that it’s done. A good summer of killing off weeds, a good fall grass grow, and spring pre-emergent will have you in much better shape next summer.

      @@allenletizia321 if you’re in a cool climate environment, now the time to grow grass. The best way to get rid of weed, is to grow grass. That being said, you cannot put down this product and grow grass seed it in. Just focus on growing new grass, that will help overtake the weeds. Next year you can worry about killing what pops up. Never waste your growth period killing weeds

    Just say no to chemicals and cancer. Lawn companies want to spray and go to make those quick bucks. Put on space suit and say sh&t is safe for your yard yet no animals go there on ground or above. That should tell you something. Then there are the blow and mow companies. I have a good one but need to find in addition a landscaper individual that only takes on so many jobs and actually works the land the natural and healthy way. Companies do not want that because it takes a ton of time and they make very little money. That spray sh*t rains and gets washed down and overloads the storm drain systems for the counties and cities. All about videos or how to natural care for the lawn. Can't stand the videos on just spray chem sh*t and it will turn green in no time.

      I spot treat weeds in my lawn with chemicals. I've got birds, squirrels, bunnies and deer in my yard all the time. You don't hose down the whole lawn with hundreds of gallons of chemical juice, you just squirt it here and there. Its fine.

  • @TODD-KOBELL

    Or you could not care about weeds and not pollute the earth with the chemicals that you're using. My yard looks perfectly fine with five different types of plants growing. Everything's healthy and green. Not boring and dried up with chemicals like your lawn.
