Numarks jog wheels are one of the things I have been hugely impressed with, they feel fantastic compared to other manufacturers at the same price point. This is a great controller for the price.
Looks great I can't wait to get my hands on one. I am slowly turning into a Numark fan boy since I've been using my mixstream pro. Numark builds controllers like tanks!
@@GetintheMix I would say there getting worse nothing is coming with dj pro anymore so that's an instant 300 usd to add onto the price also they seem to be prioritising being cheap and having gimmicks like the battle pads on this basically limiting to 6 fx and stopping you using different fx on the different channels as the fx with on the battle pads will apply it to all decks. As far as I can tell the last decent controller was the ns6ii which has been discontinued I admit the jog wheels look good but I wish they would charge a bit more have a mixer that fits in with using serato pro properly as its designed and comes with pro. All their range seems to come with a gimmick instead of.a feature be it built in speakers, battle pads or cheap lights out the back of the mixer. Numark seem to be designing for toys r us / menkind rather than a DJ. I think the merger with Denon Might have something to do with this as Denon don't want them making a serious mixer as it may interfere with the sales of Denon gear.
I'm using the controller for over 4 months now, and all is going well for me. 2 things get me every time: 1. There's a split-second delay in the hot cue from when I press, and when it goes (probably nothing just needs timing) /2. I can't tell which audio indicator is main and which is monitored on board, so I have to rely on the graphics of my laptop to determine the audio output. Nevertheless, my experience has been great and will definitely work amazing. I use this as my backup and, occasionally, the main moxer with zero issues. (Just wished the power cable was longer and more locked in)
All we need now is a new Ns7 iiii and a new Ns6 would be nice to see Numark making more premium decks again rather than Rane come on In Music 🎶 people would love to see Numark at the top again
I see that mixstream pro sitting to the side there.😏 Still Numarks main and so happy I was able to get mine before Christmas before the price increase 😁.
A great question is would you buy DDJ FLX4 with 2 channel vs Numark NS4FX and give 100$ extra for = 4 channel upgrade, XLR outputs, Screen weels, Fader larger, size larger and idk what more 😂 down side can be only the rekordbox might be better and that if you want in future to grow on pioneer systems you might want to start one with
I loved my Platinum FX but sold to my buddy. Using my Pioneer SR2 because I want to DJ in clubs and they usually have Pioneer decks. Now… I’m thinking about getting this anyway as a “backup”. But can one of you confirm whether or not you still can’t easily switch AND stick to a particular effect. Example: can I make the paddles trigger the Clean Fade Echo in Serato every time, versus the “basic” echo?
Run it on Virtual DJ 2021, Get access to all channels and all features, however, I've got the NS6 ll, the best controller, I've ever owned, always hoped that Numark may have moved to an NS6 lll , and tided up some weak point's on the MK2. like the Microphone control, and placing a switch on it, like the NS4 had (I wore that controller out), and also put a digital Microphone that would run through too DJ software, So that you can stream and record, I use a Focusrite Scarlett for streaming my sets, maybe this feature is similar on the NS4 FX to what I'd love to see on an NS6 lll (If they ever build one) However, I do like the look of the looping buttons on the NS4FX, I'd like to see similar on an NS6 lll, however, I bet Virtual DJ would unlock the control in the due cause, I did, unfortunately, purchase a Pioneer DDJ FLX6 (i was not impressed) as a backup controller while the NS6 ll was in for repair, however, Virtual DJ did a fantastic job of mapping all effects on the DDJ FLX6 including the big Magic Button, or your "Get Out Of Jail " control that can get you from one music style or large BPM difference to another. I'm still wondering why Numark stopped the production of the NS6 ll, after such a short production run and seemed to move more toward more budget and mid-level controllers and streaming stand-alone? Just another point to note my Numark NS6 ll cost me 500 euros in 2019, if you want one now, I've seen them online for sale now at $1500, three times their original price, I wish Numark would move back toward flagship models. Nice Review Lads, Best Wishes from Zakynthos Greece
totally agree I was gonna buy the Ns6ii but now Numark have discontinued it can't get it anywhere if you add the price of the dj pro as well as the extras you got with the ns6ii (pitch n time etc) the mixer in the video costs more and you get a far inferior mixer to the ns6ii the ns4fx seems like a gimmicky inferior substitute to the ns6ii but I am probably going to end up having to buy this as there is very limited choice for 4 channel serato mixers especially if you don't have unlimited physical space to put the huge huge systems. Makes me so sad 😞
@@mintomax2 I just Purchased this model as my Numark NS6II, has had to go in for further repair as the left-hand channels were effect by the issues I had on the right-hand decks, which was to do with the strip search control (which I never used), I put my Pioneer DDJ FLX6 (still not impressed with it) as a backup, I'm back in my summer DJ Residency and I needed a better back up for the time the NS6ii is away for repair. Not had a chance to play with it yet, but I will do it tonight, can't wait, however, would still like to see Numark produce another flagship model like an NS6 mark 3 or NS7 mark 4.
My NS4FX just arrived and it will NOT connect with my Serato DJ Pro (I have a lifetime license when I bought it years ago). I am using Windows 10, latest version of Serato Pro and have tried every USB port and different cables but all I get is "Error loading MIDI xml" and "Hardware cannot connect to Serato DJ Pro" .. Can anyone please help!!? Thanks
I use the fx model and the crossfader is pretty good at first but after a while of using it, it developed problems with cutting of the sound of the other deck, the sound of the other deck still remains audible when crossfader is actually on the other deck
That's a shame to hear you've had problems with your controller, things can go wrong from time to time. You should be able to get it repaired for free via the store you bought it from under a warranty repair though!
So I’m still learning but ready to upgrade. Should I look at this or the Mixstream Pro Go or Hercules Inpulse T7. I know they are all different but I want something to take seriously. I do have Serato Pro already. What do you think?
tuve una gran decepcion cuando vi que a pesar de tener cuatro canales, no puedo tener preescucha en la linea de entrada.....sin embargo es una hermosa maquina...yo ya tuve la mixtrack platinum fx y era bellisima
I disagree that this is one of the most affordable 4 channel mixers its only affordable because it cost 300 dollars to upgrade from the software that no one that is spending this much on a mixer would actually use. when you factor in the software upgrade this is a poor mixer for £750 when you only have access to 6 effects and you can't use more then one effect on the whole mixer at once, because once you have set the battle effects its set for the whole mixer and instead of having access to all the effects and assigned to a deck the way a proper mixer would you only have access to 6 and only one at a time. To me the battle paddles are a cheap gimmicky child like way of hiding the serious limitations of this mixer. The ns6ii set up is how a mixer should be that is over £400 but really this mixer is in the £700 to £1000 pound price bracket but performs like a £300 controller but because nearly all the controllers that come with Pro have been discontinued its obvious serato ( and the other dj softwares) are trying to push people into an endless subscription which means you will be paying thousand and thousands in the long run and you will never actually own anything which when there is a cost of living crisis going on I find this very cutthroat and uncaring.

They've really nailed jog wheels and pitch faders 🙏

My mixtrack pro 2 still running like in the 1st day of use, more exactly, 10 years ago.
Their products are great and keep getting better!

Hello, thank you for the feedback. can you play more than one FX at a time please ?
I think it's also the cheapest XLR output controller on the market. Great staff.
I need numark to make a scratch pro mixer with loading knobs and 8 pads. That’s it. That’s all I want in a new one

Just wish it had LED's for each channel which is a must to get your levels correct.
Thanks. I hope the Mixstream also get upgraded with 4 channels
That would be very cool to see! Though it might step a bit too much on the toes of the Prime 4 🤔
I see that mixstream pro sitting to the side there.😏

Hi, can I ask if 4 channels are needed to DJ in clubs? i have a 2 channel controller and im looking for an upgrade, thanks
2 channel version with Seraro DJ lite its ok. But 4 channel version need full dj software.
Indeed, it would have been nice to have more than Serato Lite included with this one
Unlike any previous NS model. This is just a 4 channel Platinum FX controller.
Still happy with my NS7iii
Now we need a pro version for Serato DJ Pro.

Question..What are the upgrades (Firmware) for the NS4FX? Everything is lagging - scratching , cue pads , sound FX all delayed!
