The good thing about using virtual dj is the ability to remap the default controls, so even tho the hi/lo pass is in the fx section, they can be changed in vdj. Or u can even change the filters using color fx. Also the pad pages can be changed... except for the fader cuts (if it's built internally the same as the Mixtrack Platinum FX).
If I were planning on using the lower-priced Mixtrack Platinum FX with a Yamaha MG06 mixer, wouldn't going RCA-to-1/4" on ch. 3/4 free up both XLR mixer inputs for wired and wireless microphones (wired for my booth, wireless for toasts, etc.)? It seems like I'd be getting better preamps for all channels, still going w/XLR outs to my mains, and saving around $120 (comparing prices of new gear vs. new gear). I could then run my backup device on the Yamaha's ch. 5/6. Granted, the Platinum FX only controls 2 decks. Thoughts?
Absolutely , 👍🏽 running your mixer is a great idea. My suggestions to upgrade for extra channels are only for people you might not run a mixer setup or might not own an extra mixer . Someone who might just wish to use the controller and a laptop. Thank you for watching and sharing.
@@DJWouk Wow ... both are nice and have alot of similarities features. Although the pioneer is set up as more of a 2 channel controller / plus no auxiliary channel. If you can afford it the pioneer is probably a better controller longevity wise and you like the two ch. set up .. but if you need a 4 channel controller with a auxiliary channel might roll with the numark. Depends on some of your needs . Thanks.
Hello, thank you for this video, I'm going to buy the same to start dj and you've already helped me a lot. I would also like your opinion on the HDJ-X10 headphones, I buy ?
Hello, thanks for watching and sharing. Headphones are very personal and everyone’s ears hear different. It Depends on the music you play and what you prefer to hear in the music. Perhaps… prefer Bass heavy or more clarity? Pioneer headphones are great all around sound if you can afford them . Go for it. ..But the AiAiAi headphones might have a little more clarity but you can change the speaker for more low end too? At that price range … take a look at AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ too . Wireless is a nice feature and they are modular.. can easily upgrade or change parts for a lasting pair of headphones . Hello , thanks for watching and your question. Yes , in my opinion I would recommend the Ns4fx over the FLX4 Pioneer. The Numark has a lot more extra features over FLX4 . Including: LCD displays on jog wheels , XLR inputs , 2 mic inputs, aux input, and a dedicated FX section. If you like Pioneer a similar controller FLX6 is more compatible but a larger controller. I Also like the Hercules 500 controller. But another factory is your DJ software you’re using. My opinion… if you use Traktor software I would pick up a used s4 mk3 …check out eBay , Amazon warehouse deals , and guitar Center for used deals between $500 - 700 (just a little bit more than the controllers your looking at) which is a great deal. The S4 MK3 has a lot more features & inputs…than either of the others for professional use. I am About to do a video on why the s4 is still good today.. (coming soon.. news leak 😆) BUT to answer your question. My opinion is I like the NS4fx feature wise over the S3 . If you use Traktor or virtual dj software the s3 would work better thou . The NS4fx will not work with Traktor pro3 software without custom mapping. The NS4fx Works with serato, Virtual dj , and djay algorithm. So it kinda Depends on the software you use too?
