I just bought the NS4FX last week and am loving it. I tried both Mic inputs and mine sounded fine. I started with the level all the way down and tone in the middle position, then brought it up as I spoke into it, and I experienced no distortion. I find it hard to believe something like that would get past Quality Control. It might be a matter of finding the right settings.
I bought my NS4FX from Guitar Center in Virginia about a month ago. I love the mixer (which I use with Virtual DJ) by the way. Like you I think the microphone sounds horrible. I had to by a small PA board just to get a clean mic sound. Thanks for the review
Actualmente poseo una Hercules Inpulse 500 y mi maquina anterior era una Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX y me encantaba y definitivamente, esta NS4FX será mi próxima máquina
Numark NS4-FX Mic Solution/Workaround: 1. Ge/Buy an RCA to female XLR cable 2. Plug in the RCA to the RCA Aux - White and Red. 3. Plug the Mic to the other end of the cable: The XLR female end 4. The Mic1 / Line Button Switch -- Set it to Line. That's it. Now you have a perfectly sounding Microphone with NO distortion.
Thanks for your reviews bro. I just ordered this for 263$... You gotta get that when it's that cheap. 4 channels & the elite battle mixer should be a great show soon.
@@ClevelandTerrywell the higher end models cost more money for a reason. No DJ should be running mic’s thru the controller, especially at an event. This is a notch above entry level so idk what anyone was expecting from the mics.
Need some help there is no video or anything on the web. When I push the cue button I hear only one side and hear when I mix. Also the cue gain knob when I turn it up it turns the master volume up.
Someone please help me, can this controller be fully mapped with virtual dj, i mean custom mapping can be done? For eg i dont like the default lowpass highpass effect, can i change the mapping? Etc etc
Sir iam really very confused between this & traktor s3, both are supported by virtual dj which i operate on. Can you please help? which one to go for ?
Veeeery6 good review. I noticed you work "on the fly". I use to this: Who knows how to do do live! And You did it. Contrats. I'm one step to buy this controller🍔
Good review. That mic thing is a thing even if sound on sound blend/ ride DJs don't use them often. I hope Numark is listening. 💯 DJ Kenney "Hollywood" Hart (retired)
@@ClevelandTerry Its not letting me create my own loops. It just starts a new loop. ie on the mixtrack pro. You are able to do that. Can you explain in more detail how to manually loop without the auto loop. That would be very helpful. Thanks in advance
Thank You For This! I Actually Have Been Experiencing The Same Issue With The Mic Outputs And I Went To GC And They Tested Out Another One While I Was There And It Was The Same Issue. So I’m Assuming That It’s Just The Board Itself; Maybe Something Numark Has To Fix On Their End Possibly.

If you're a serato user, go with the numark. The flx6 isn't laid out for serato. The pad modes and labels are setup for rekordbox. You at least get pro outputs on the numark
The jogs don’t feel good for scratching. They are way too heavy and tiring. It’s sad because it would be the perfect controller for hip-hop and open format DJs but they messed up the most important part.

I have a question for you about ns4fx with virtual would yours give you problems with scratching because my left deck won’t scratch only my right side
Beat jump is working with virtual dj on this controller?

Or, it could just work as intended. :-)
Great advice, thanks, however downside is that you occupy the line input for your back up source.

From where if you don’t mind me asking?
I'm also curious from where.
hey @cleveland... you can get full kill EQ on the ddj-400... you can change the EQ mode in rekordbox
Hi Cleveland Terry, Can I setup Extra DJ Turntables with the Numark NS4FX is it possible, and what is required Thanks.
Any?
I'm in 2 minds, I don't know weather to buy the Numark NS4FX or the Pioneer Rev 1....?

Pro is monthly is it not?
I always plug a controller into a mixing board & also plug the mic into the board.. the sound cards are not too good on some.
I concur... I've never plugged my mics to controllers.👍🏾🖤💯
While I agree, the higher end models like the rev 7 etc have excellent cards.
@@ClevelandTerry the numark ns7 series controllers had the best sound so far i havent heard anything match that

Think this is better than the Panasonic FLX? Similar price point.

The scratching on on this seems really inaccurate. Is there a fix?
Question..What are the upgrades for the NS4FX? Everything is lagging - scratching , cue pads , sound FX all delayed!

I need to know if you can manual loop as I can't find how to do it rather than auto loop. Please Explain
Use the in and out buttons on the loop in the jog corners.

@@ClevelandTerry So what I'm asking is can the auto loop be taken off and be used manually
Like all controllers, you press in to set the loop start and press out to set the loop end ??
@@ClevelandTerry I didn't see those on there. Anyway, I ended up selling it and bought the DDJFLX10

So, the performance platters don’t spin?
No

can't belive they (Numark) did'nt make the pads RGB
adding pro will cost another $200 which makes this a $700 machine,,
Is it limited to serato dj lite or Pro

Just purchased one 2 months ago from UK, and I paid 390£
I wonder how a -20db attenuator would affect the mic levels?
San Jo!!! Yeah #BayArea 💥✊🏽
I send my mic thru my Apollo Twin but will test this out.
