Great face-off. I agree with Dylan - I've tried on both and for me it'd be the AP, it's a better sports watch and the bracelet design is more sophisticated.

Being an owner of the 15202st and the 5712/1A, the ap is better in every department. Not sure how you came to the conclusion that movement finish on Patek was better. Patek cutting a lot of corners. The jumbo has always had a wait list, the nautiluses were unloved prior to 2016. I bought my 5712 in 2015 just by turning up at the store.
i owned same pair too and can't agree more. patek finish on 240 is not better than 2121.
5711 is overhyped and selling way over twice the retail value.

Both are beauties, I think I would rate the Patek as a bit better refined, but overall the AP is the one that gives me more pleasure round the wrist...

Great review Dylan! How would you compare the 2 movements from a technical standpoint? The Patek has a Gyromax balance and is antimagnetic as far as I know
Does the 2121 movement have the same technical robustness? Seeing that it's still based on the original JLC 70s movement..?

For me the latest version of black-blue dial on 5711 is a bit overdone, too artificial, so I chose silver white dial on 5711. Yet 15202 🏁; Dylan said it all. 😇✅. And on the wrist 15202 looks chic and younger. 🤗

De gustibus disputandum non est. Both watches are grail, however AP I prefer more, it has more style for my taste.

The AP is far more an important piece than the 5711a... Design wise, its Gentas Opus... the Nautilus was an after thought.... and the JLC movement is iconic... no comparison.... If you are to own a Naut, get a 5712,26 or 5740... the 11 is just for poseurs.

Nautilus is the watch this century will remember. 15202 and AP is just not the same level. Best of all sport watches are 5711 and 5712 ;)
