Bacon has a smoking fat point of about 190 deg, set the air fryer to 180 & cook for about 9 mins depending how crispy you like it. That way you don't get any smoke. 👌
I have just received one of these for my birthday and I have to say "bung it in the air fryer" is my kind of series. I don't need a back story, or people pretending to be the next Nigella or Delia. Just tell me how to bung it in and have done with it - dad really does deliver. Thanks!
I've got the Ninja Foodi Mini, the round one. 220° is pretty hot! I've only ever used 200 so far, but I'll experiment. The bacon is bog standard Tesco back bacon. I'm making a bacon and egg breakfast muffin as an alternative to sausage and egg.
Those bacon looked delicious😋 I haven’t got a airfryer yet but I might have to get one. I’m worrid about setting of the fire alarm though. I live in an apartment and when the fire alarm go everyone in the building can hear it😱 I love your dog btw 🐶
I live in a flat and had to fry everything because the grill sets of the fire alarm 😳 hopefully the ninja will not do that if I sit it on the cooker under the extraction fan 🙏
Times and temperature become second nature after a while. I did see that a little water in the bottom of the drawer will stop the smoke alarm going off.
I did have to do a little research as to timing for my favourite things and I just went on from there. After a ehile just like a normal oven it comes naturally. I did a bacon and cheese toastie last night but I didn't get smoke with mine. I have a tower, front loading with rotisserie option, so it's much faster than a conventional oven and consequenly a lot cheeper.
@@DADDELIVERS I'd like to take credit for this but it was someone else's idea. I used some slices off a cob, cheese either side of the ready fried bacon and butter the outside of the sandwich, 4mins each side should be fine. Comes out nice and crispy.
I just lay it out on a sheet tray without any overlapping & bake in the oven at 400 F degrees for 10 to 15 mins, turning the tray 180 at the halfway point, the only clean up is the tray. I have found out if you cook more than one batch on the same tray & coat the second batch of bacon with the bacon fat from the first it cooks faster & more evenly, & I think tastes better, everything tastes better cooked in bacon fat... & yes it is easier to collect the bacon fat this way than any other, & eggs, french toast, etc all taste better cooked in bacon fat. And here is my technique on making *French Toast,* do NOT put the spices in the egg wash, sprinkle the spices on the bread, moist bread will hold on to the spices, then dip in the egg wash, then into the frying pan with bacon fat, or just use the tray you make the bacon, put remember to adjust your heat in the oven for perfect french toast. btw, I do believe I am the only Chef that makes their french toast this way, & never seen it done my way on UA-cam, feel free to show your membership as long as you give me credit for the technique. And a potato peeler is the perfect way to get a large thin slice of butter for the top, also never seen anyone else do it my way using a peeler.
Hi, thanks for the kind question -- sorry to say, I think they're set by Ninja for whatever market it's sold in so it either comes with F or C... Good luck with your air fryer!
That’s a heat detector, not a smoke detector and if you’re setting that off you’ve got a big problem. If you are setting off your detection system in the house, it’s because the smokes getting to the nearest smoke detector which is probably in the hallway.
You shouldn't have a smoke alarm in your kitchen just a heat sensor that will detect a fire. smoke alarms in other areas of house though. So your builder was rubbish.

The Ninja has been far and away the best purchase for the kitchen and cooking. I use it nearly every day, sometimes twice a day.

Fantastic tip, thanks for the kind comment!
supposedly, you can add just a tiny amt. of water in the bottom of the air fryer, or a piece of bread, to help reduce any smoking.
That's a great tip thanks, and the water might help the bacon not drying out - I'll try this thanks

I'll have to try that thanks Loretta

Substitute your smoke alarm for a heat alarm in the kitchen, no more annoying bleeping
Thanks Jasman!
Best tip!! Thanks 😊
How can u switch to Degreed C?
Hi, thanks for the kind question -- sorry to say, I think they're set by Ninja for whatever market it's sold in so it either comes with F or C... Good luck with your air fryer!
I cook my bacon on Air fry at 180 degrees for 5 minutes turn over half way
Nice - thanks - I think that temperature looks perfect
Fit a heat detector not a smoke detector in the kitchen and that will solve your problem
Thanks John!
I don’t like crispy
Thanks Nola! I'm looked at as abnormal in our family!

Far easier to grill it it and turn over after 4 Minuitees !
thanks - I find it even easier in the microwave!
But the microwave doesn't brown it😢

Thank you for letting me know that this video is not for you
