Great video. Just in case people are worried about whether to replace their gas hob with an airfryer- Gas is much cheaper than electricity (just check you bills), and an air fryer doesn't replace a hob- it replaces an oven, where it has significant cost savings. Induction v. gas hob: not entirely sure what is cheaper, but I have an induction hob personally, and would recommend them but not necessarily for cost savings.
Just to expand a little on your comment. My wife and I and a couple that are good friends, now only use one ring on the hob, since buying our air fryers a year ago. Whereas, before having our air fryer we would use three or four rings on the hob when cooking a main meal. In fact our friends now only have a single ring induction hob. So yes your info is correct, but there is now more to consider than just saying "an air fryer doesn't replace a hob".
Hi Kerry, when i got my first air fryer and i did an egg in it i didn't like it, it came out hard with a skin on top so that put me off fried eggs in the air fryer. Anyway now i've got the dual blaze i've got it down to perfection. I take the crisper tray out, put a bit of oil in the bottom and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes depending on the size of the egg. It comes out with a perfect runny yolk and no skin on the top. The reason i like doing it in the air fryer is it's a lot easier to clean, than cleaning a hob,the grids, the splashback and the cooker hood because as you know when you are doing an egg the fat goes everywhere
I recommend you to my many family and friends who are newby airfryer users. Your a real gem for both first timers and long term airfryer users.keep ‘em comin👍x
I love your 'down to earth' style "It's too early in the morning"... brilliant! Makes it so easy to understand. Gonna try the old fry an egg in the AF today. Cheers!
Cracking video Kerry. I thought you were yolking when you hatched a plan to fry an egg in the air fryer. You just need an eggresso to go with that chick 😁
Hello Kerry, Congratulations, you have over 1 million views. Fantastic! Would you perhaps also like to try a potato, vegetable and meat dish in the combination cooker? A complete meal in one go, which is what this pan is actually intended for. Thank you 😊 ❤
Hi kerry . I got an swan air fryer.. am always cooking eggs and I find it easy to use those tin pies foil that get from the chip shop .. right size . 190c for 3 to 5 min I find best. But all good 👍
Evening Kerry, thank you for the quick turnaround in showing those who were asking what the results are. I thought that looked delicious, in fact it looked perfect. I've got a cooker with a frying pan and the space to use it but I'm not using my cooker (electric) at all. I have my 3 air fryers and my microwave. I am going to make pasta bolognaise tomorrow all in the speedi, when I made the spag bol it was delicious, so impressed with the speedi and I know I've not used it to it's full potential yet. Xxx Jac ♥️💚 Ps the homemade chips with a wee bit of lard in the speedi are bloody delicious 😋 xxx
Lard is the best Jacs imho - cheap too, makes the best roasties and chips for me (in the dual blaze) gonna crack on and finish Harrisons little artwork this weekend, feeling a lot more 💪💪💪😄👍💕💕💕 need to check out the speedi lol
@budgetcookinguk I knew you were a big fan of lard for chips and roasties. I bought it for using it in something I was baking, lol. Aww, please don't push yourself too much. You need to give yourself time to recover completely. The speedi is more or less like your 15 in 1 (I'm sure that's what you have) but it doesn't have the pressure cooker function but it can cook a full meal in around 15 mins. I'm going to get some baking done during the week before we start making Harrisons Halloween costume, we think this will be the last year for a proper costume so going all out haha, started taking delivery of items today 🤦♀️🤣🤣. Have a lovely weekend Kerry, speak soon. Jac xxxx 💚♥️
@budgetcookinguk even better with beef dripping, absolutely delicious. I cook my chips on the bottom with sausages in the beef dripping, then put the drip tray back in and use a tin tray with a bit of lard in to cook my egg and its all done together perfectly, as I put the egg in I heat my tinned tomatoes in the microwave and the meal is all cooked at the same time. The beauty with the Cosori is the drip tray only goes down as far as you push it so it's great. Also cheese and ham tostie if you use the broil setting, which is our equivalent to to grill, the cheese doesn't fly about like it does in the airfryer setting. Just made a beautiful beef stew in the pressure cooker in 40 mins and have to say it was delicious. The taste of the veg in the pressure cooker is unbelievable and I have been cooking for 52 years. Thanks for this Kerry my preference was definitely the egg in the Cosori as this one was a bit to runny for me 😅😅
I use a Chefree air fryer and an induction hob. I have stopped using my 5 burner gas hob and find now that all of the surfaces in my kitchen stay clean and free from grease. Like your channel Sherry you're always up for a challenge .
Love this video But i do have to point something out Gas uses double, if not a bit more, than the amount of units compared to that of electricity to perform a task ( cooking, heating, hot water etc) but is nearly 8 times cheaper So people bare that in mind
Don’t suppose you could tell me the right settings and time to cook an egg like you did at the end of this video? I have a ninja airfryer and it’ll be so much more convenient. Thank you!
Come across your video by accident and I'm so glad I did. Thank you I will be giving this a try. I'm going to watch your other videos now. Keep up the great work and have a lovely Christmas 🙏❤️
Put pieces of bread in air fryer buttered on both sides make a dip in middle of bread put a egg on it air fry 360 for 5 minutes medium eggs will turn out perfect its so delicious 😮
Thank you John😀💕 I've perfected it since then - cook the egg for 1 min then turn off the AF for 1 - 2 mins til egg is cooked - this especially works if AF is hot from cooking bacon, sausages etc prior to the egg, no hard skin on top, perfectly fried egg. Saves me pulling out the induction hob😄👍
I wasn't keen on that hard skin either Patrick. What I do now, I heat the oil, crack the egg into basket - let it cook for 1 min ish and then turn off the AF and leave egg to cook in residual heat for another min or 2, exact timing tricky as it all depends on size of egg and how hot the AF is. No hard skin this way
I have done this, just add the egg a min (in an oiled corner of the basket) before you think the bacon is done then let cook for that minute - then turn off the Airfryer and leave a min or 2 longer as the egg will keep cooking, I usually keep checking to catch the point when the egg is perfect. Hope that makes sense!
Tis true but what if the frying pan was on its last legs and was ruining an innocent fried egg attempt, as in its non stick was failing - it happens, so worth looking as an experiment to see if it works in an AF 😀👍my latest vlog I nailed it with cooking a fried egg with an AF turned off. I know, magic eh?
Thank you Philip😃👍 was thinking more of people who didnt have a hob for reasons like renovation, broken hob etc etc - worth an investigation just to see if I could fry an egg in an Airfryer. I just started rambling at the end of the vlog😄

1 1/2 minutes in a preheated airfryer is fast and much cheaper than gas or hob electric.
It's a pity they can't make see through airfryer pans.

first off dont do it direct in the deep "pan". Use a silicon plate/dish. meh
