Hi Lyne, I get mine from Waitrose, I have been told by one of my subscribers that Amazon has it as she lives in the top of Scotland and no waitrose. I have seen it some Delhi shops tooxx
I cook all my breakfast sausages in a Ninja Max rather than grill them now. I lightly spray the casing with veg oil because it speeds up and evens the browning. I use a silicon tray which catches all the fat and easily removes for cleaning when cooler. After preheating 12 minutes at 200 deg with a shake halfway is enough to cook the inside to temperature and thoroughly brown the outside. Life is that little bit simpler in the morning now and frozen hash browns offer a variation on the menu.
Us Brits will use olive oil for anything. Dips, frying, cooking , aging , sunbathing and squeeky hinges. I sleep with a bottle by my bed in case I need a night cap.
If you are keeping bacon fat make sure you keep it in the fridge nice and cold I would keep it about two weeks then get rid of , it possibly would keep longer but I don’t like things like that hanging around long xxx
Great posting. This is the same Ninja I have and it’s made my cooking life a breeze….not to mention the electricity savings by not having to heat up an oven.👍🏾⭐️
Hi , the draws I put hot soapy water in them and leave them stand for about 15 mins then rinse and do a good hot soap wash and final rinse then dry . Inside I use a hot soap throw away cloth , not dripping water as I ring it out then I clean round the top and around the heating elements , rinse the cloth in warm water and go round again then use kitchen paper to dry off . I do this every time I use the machine and it keeps it quite good . Hope that helps xx
Hi Lynda, I bought mine from Waitrose but a lot of deli shops sell it also Amazon !. It is expensive but mine lasts me about 6 months they now do 3 types mine is about £15 but often comes on special at about £12.50 . They do a cheaper one which is two thin and not as good , they also do a £20 bottle which is amazing but I felt slightly too thick ! . Glad you enjoy the channel, thank you xxx
Hi Bruno , mine is the small one , my daughter has the bigger one and I wished I had bought that one ! I live mine but sometimes I do find it a bit small , I have now bought the fifteen in one which is good but I love the ease of the dual zone xx
What’s the best Ninja to go for? This one or the 15 in 1 smart lid type? I want to be able to roast meat joints or a whole chicken 🐔? Any advice hugely appreciated!
Hi Michael mine is a small dual zone , I do roast chicken in it every week , I cut the chicken in half and it is the best chicken we have had . I also do small joints of meat . @buttlersempire this couple have just done a video of a few air fryers which might be good for you to watch , they have much more experience with other brands than I have as I only have Ninja and I do wish mine was the bigger model . Check them out they might help you xxx
No it really does not ! I have an old oven that takes about 20 mins to get to temperature, the ninja is instant heat and also so much smaller than an oven we have seen our electricity drop this year !! Xxx
Hi Susie, when I cook sausages I cook extra, then wrap them in plastic wrap in pairs and freeze them. Next time I want some I heat them in the microwave for a few minutes. Saves me time and washing.
That is a very good idea ! I do often put small tubs of food in the freezer that is big enough as a single portion so if one of us is out there are always some easy meals just to heat up , I had not thought of sausages though . Thanks for commenting xx
Hi Susie i think your vids are the most informative so as weather is so vile I'm going to binge on your videos so thank you so much.....useful tips a plenty glad I found you 😍😍😍😍
Hi Brian , I clean the baskets themselves with hot soap water and a plastic type of sponge 🧽 for non stick things , it works well. The inside of the machine I use a throw away cloth that has hot soapy water and rub round the elements , mine is not too bad unless I use breadcrumbs 😂they burn on 😂😂
Hi , lots of people use foil and silicone paper in there airfryers without any damage and I can only speak for Ninja as that’s the only make I have but they state is some recipes to use foil to stop some things from drying out . I think with paper and the fact the heat elements are directly above there could be a fire risk but I am not certain !!! Sorry I cannot be of more help
I have always took the draws out and laid it on its back , got my throw away jay cloth in hot soapy water and washed round after every cook , you cannot get to the fans on mine! But you can wash round the elements. You have to be careful as I believe if you get a lot of water around in there it will break ! I make sure my cloth is not dripping wet and just rub round what I can dry with kitchen roll then stand it up and return draws and turn it on for a couple of minutes to make sure it has dried out .Ninja don’t give any real guide lines that I can find ! Think the secret is stay on top of it from new . Xx
Hi Susie. Really tempted to get one of these during the Black Friday sales. How big would you say each compartment is? Doesnt seem like it would fit a whole chicken just from the looks of it, but maybe half a chicken? Small Pizzas too perhaps? Sausages looked brilliant
Hi there, yes you are correct my is the smaller version and I do chicken but cut it in half . You can get the bigger model which is the 400 model and that can take a whole chicken in one draw , my daughter has that model . We both love our airfryers xx
Hi Andy, the Balsamic I use is Belazu it is about £14 a bottle and it lasts me a good 6 to 7 months , it is thick and very rich, ew love it . Yes it was quite fashionable about two years ago to have strawberries with balsamic also with black pepper ! I find if I get good strawberries I don’t real want to mask them with anything else 😂 just a personal view xx
Ive just purchased a Ninja and watched another you tube clip and she said under no circumstances use frylight (I always us it when cooking normally but do find it can leave things very sticky) interested to see what your thoughts are
I agree I did use it once and I felt things felt really sticky and stopped using it , I just brush things with a tiny amount of olive oil or oil of your choice and it has worked great for me . Xxx
Hi, could you tell me whether you have the 7.5 litre or the foodi max 9 litre please? I can't tell from your video and it looks big enough for two people so would be ideal. Enjoyed the video thanks
Hi Valerie I have the smaller 7.5 litre Ninja and it is perfect for two ! Although I often wish when the family are around it was the bigger one 😂 thanks for watching xx
I have been told it does ! But I cannot say for sure , I use very little oil in the airfryer I tend to toss things in a tablespoons of oil then put them into the airfryer so they just get a light coat and it is on the food not on the pan . It seems to work for me xxx
The only one I ever use is Belazu Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and is currently on offer in Waitrose for £9.75 and lasts me about 9 months , it is normally about £14 xxx
Subscribed to your channel today as I was searching how to cook sausages in a ninja dual air fryer. Thank goodness I found your channel. I'm looking forward to going through your videos. 😊😊😊
Hi Andy thank you for subscribing , when doing sausages please use your judgement as if they are thin they will only need half the time . Also if things looked cooked that is a coukd indication they are . Hope you enjoy your ninja xx
@cookingwithsusie Thank you for your advice Susie😊 We have only had the Ninja Dual for a week and in that week have not turned the oven on once. Keep up the fantastic content you ROCK!!!!😊
Hello thanks for your time today and the video you provided, just had 1 xmas but is it iOK for one living on there own, you explained how to use it so simple thank you from Dave.❤
I have a few friends who have lost their partners and they all have airfryers . They did not buy ninja they went for known brands but a lot cheaper than Ninja . They bought small airfryers , one friend manages to get a small chicken in hers which lasts her a couple of days . It really depends on the type of food you normally eat , if you are a person who has a lot of salads then maybe you would not use it xxx
Thank you and my Balsamic I get from waitrose as I live about 500 yards from it 😂 but I have been told you can buy it at Tesco too . Many thanks for you comment xx
Thanks Susie for doing this video. Very useful to me as my Ninja has just arrived. Won’t be using it for a few weeks though as having new kitchen fitted very soon. The sausages look very tasty indeed and like you say are very high meat content and any fat coming out drips through to make them more healthy. 👍😀
Thank you and hope you love it when your new kitchen goes in . Very exciting a new kitchen . You must put a picture up , make me jealous 😂. I love putting clips us I see it as a way of sharing , I have learnt so much from other you tubers xxxx
I usually look at the packet and take there guidance for temperature, regards times that does vary if you have thick sausages they are going to take longer than skinny ones , I would say some thick sausages take 15 mins from frozen and skinny can take 10 mins but I always rely on my meat thermometer to make sure they are cooked inside I always look for above 70c on my sausages not too much above as they become dry quickly , I think that is about 162 f , poultry sausage is a bit higher 165 f xxx
i’m waiting for my Ninja foodi zone Airfryer 2draws 6 cooking. off Amazon £179. i thought was a good price? what i wanted to know can you use it like a grill?
Hi Lillian, I don’t think it can work like a grill as the fans blow constantly, but I am not expert !! Although often when doing sausages and bacon I do feel it is similar to grilling but it seems more controlled!! I love mine so I do hope you find you enjoy it . Also you did get it for a good price ! Always a bonus to get a bargain . Thanks for commenting xx
Hardly hot at all , perfectly safe on work tops , it does get quite warm on the actual top and I pull it well out from underneath the units above so it has lots of ventilation xx
Little tip for you... I was told to not use Fry Light in the Ninja as it ruins the coating in the drawers. Once youve finished that bottle, keep the bottle and fill it up with Olive Oil and use that instead. The Fry Light just has an ingredient that doesn't like Ninjas. I always do my sausages in the same way too. I dont know where Id be without my Ninja now. They're essential for our kitchen.
Yes a lovely lady told me not long after starting with my ninja , I actually for I did not like it but I went onto a spray virgin olive oil that works well and I only really every need a little on things . Thank you for commenting xx
Hi Robert, I have bought my things through Amazon , purely as it was easier for me as I work full time so time is very limited. I know other people have bought things in stores but cannot tell you which as I don’t know . Xx
Hi Robert, I don’t actually use spray bottles myself , I hardly use oil with the ninja, if I do I usually put things in a bowl and toss it around then into ninja . I would think Lakeland sell most things or good old Amazon , sadly due to work I don’t get much time for shopping 😂.xx
Great video……. hoping to get a Ninja dual basket is that the 300 or the 400? Only two of us …what would you recommend please…are you happy with the Ninja brand? so many out there now….I need to make the right decisions….thanks in anticipation 🙏
Hi Angela, mine is the Smaller one the 300 , I think it is perfect for two . The only time I wish I had the bigger one is when family arrive . I love mine I find the brand really simple to work with ! I have been told the Cossori is a very good one and my friends have other that everyone seems to love ! I hope you get one and really enjoy it and thanks for commenting xx
You will love it 😍 we have bought a second ninja now as well and love them both. Enjoy , don’t get tied down by times just use your eyes and keep checking your food you will be fine xxx
@@cookingwithsusie I’m getting the same one and was wondering if it would be a good plate warmer, my old one is but it’s bevelled on the top, that looks pretty flat.
Hi there my favourite brand is Belazu it is I think one of the best , you can buy it online and it is quite expensive but you really don’t use a lot as it is more like a syrup ! Retails about £14 but it does come on offer and I paid £11.50 for my last bottle xxx
I know lots of people take the tray out when doing things like that , I tend to use glass dishes when I am doing that type of thing , then the dish just goes in the dish washer when finished . Either way works xxx
I love my ninja, use it everday almost, on secound one now as one side stopped working on first one , luckily day before warrenty expired! Ive noticed when i have mine on match the right side cooks slightly quicker than left, i can feel heat escaping around drawer on left side so guess this is the cause. Its ok though and we have also now got ninja mini oven also brilliant.
That is excactly what I said to my husband last week ! The right side on mine is definitely a little hotter and quicker than the left ! Not enough to burn anything but I do notice it ! Glad you got yours sorted while in warranty!! They are so expensive now !! I dread my going wrong that and my electric pressure cooker are the two things I use the most . Thanks for taking time to comment xx
You could ! But quite honestly I think they are better on the rack inside pan , the fats then drip through to the bottom and your food is not soaking in fats . The glass dishes are great when you are cooking with fluids . I am going to be doing some individual lasagna and things like that . Thanks so much for the comment xxx
It just says in the ninja hand book no need to ! I have noticed a lot of others do pre heat but I have never needed to , I will have to give it a try , thanks for commenting xxx
Hi Tommy , you make a good point ! Although if I am cooking things like fish I don’t shake it but I do however turn it ! Maybe it is time someone developed a shake system 😂 although think it would be noisy and huge ! Thanks for watching x
We have just had our tea do you mind...lol ...making me feel hungry...them sausages look sizzling. Yummy 😋...we have just got one of those ninja foodi dual zone.they are so good I haven't stopped using it. I had potato wedges, my girlfriend had cheese on crumpets. Thank you for sharing your fab tutorial. It's a proper game changer. Thank you again..wishing you both a merry Christmas when it comes.
@@cookingwithsusie thank you susie, I can't wait to get Brussels spouts with bacon lardons, roast potatoes, pigs I blankets, as I said the ninja foodi is a game changer. Good look with yours, have fun.
I have now had mine a year , I paid £179 on a Black Friday deal with Amazon , it is worth shopping around though . Ate the sausages sorry 😂😂😂 thanks for the comments xx
Hi Tony, Ninja say they can go in the dishwasher but they also say they will wear quicker being put in there ! I think they mean the non stick coatings will wear out ! I only ever soak mine in hot soap and water then wash them out . I have never put them in the dishwasher , mine is always to full 😂 thanks for commenting x
Hi , mine is the small one , I have been and bought the 15 in 1 which has a lot bigger capacity but I still love my dual zone and use it more than the big one xx
I cooked frozen sausages the same way as fresh sausage using the airfry mode but I lower the temperature to 170 and it takes longer but it makes sure they are cooked right through xx
No, you should never prick sausages these day. They were called 'bangers' for a reason. During the war they had so much water in them that they would explode and the pricks let out the steam to stop that occurring. I keep oils for ages. As long as they are kept out of sunlight they'll be fine long after use by dates. Oil used for cooking gets very hot so any bacteria will be killed anyway. Not so if used for salads though.
I actually remember sausages exploding you are right 😂😂 I actually don’t buy huge bottles of oil so I run out long before dates ever get near but when stay n a farm once in Greece the old man told me they never dated there oil 😂 he did say they had what they called a cold cellar which he kept everything in . Thanks for commenting xx
Thank you so much ❤️ so kind of you , I simply love sharing what I find as I try different things . I love keeping things simple without compromise on flavour or quality. My husband has been saying I should do a small book , don’t think I will ever find the time xxx

Is the difference among the different cooking modes only different temperature ranges?
It is the difference of the speed of the fans ! Air fryers fans are at there fastest in air fry mode . They slow down for roast and bake , the temperatures do have pre sets but you alter them to what you want . If that make sense xxx

Ear wax removal
Running car on it as well
😂😂
Cheaper than diesel!
Dry elbows 😀
I have white fish and salmon need to cook. How long does the bacon grease last in Mason jar? How would I know if bad?
If you are keeping bacon fat make sure you keep it in the fridge nice and cold I would keep it about two weeks then get rid of , it possibly would keep longer but I don’t like things like that hanging around long xxx
Great posting. This is the same Ninja I have and it’s made my cooking life a breeze….not to mention the electricity savings by not having to heat up an oven.👍🏾⭐️
I totally agree with you xx
@@cookingwithsusie …hello from Victoria Canada.👋🏻
Wonderful Country !! Hope to visit it one day 👋
Thanks, Susie, I am curious how do you clean it? please
Wonderful and thank you so much 😍
Hi where did you buy your Balsamic vinegar as I have been looking for a nice one for a while now thank I love your channel ❤
Hi Susie, which ninja model is this? Is it the 9.5L or 7.6L i want the big ine but my Mrs is afraid it may be too big. Thank you for your time.
Hi Bruno , mine is the small one , my daughter has the bigger one and I wished I had bought that one ! I live mine but sometimes I do find it a bit small , I have now bought the fifteen in one which is good but I love the ease of the dual zone xx
@@cookingwithsusie Thank you for your quick reply, have a great one.
@@cookingwithsusie thank you very much
Really interesting. Nice and straightforward, can you tell me does the Ninja used a lot of electricity? Thank you.
No it really does not ! I have an old oven that takes about 20 mins to get to temperature, the ninja is instant heat and also so much smaller than an oven we have seen our electricity drop this year !! Xxx
Thank you. Great stuff.
Thank you Harry for commenting xx
Great video sausages looks lush. Which model is this the 400 one?
No mine is the smaller one the 300 and sausages are amazing I it xxx
Very good video . Its looks delicious! And Healthy!
Thank you x
Just got my air fryer this tutorial was very helpful 😊
Thank you so much and I hope you really enjoy your airfryer xx
@@cookingwithsusie thank you I will do xx
Hi Susie, when I cook sausages I cook extra, then wrap them in plastic wrap in pairs and freeze them. Next time I want some I heat them in the microwave for a few minutes. Saves me time and washing.
That is a very good idea ! I do often put small tubs of food in the freezer that is big enough as a single portion so if one of us is out there are always some easy meals just to heat up , I had not thought of sausages though . Thanks for commenting xx
and saves electric..

Hello-how d you clean the inside of the Air Fryer please?
Hi Brian , I clean the baskets themselves with hot soap water and a plastic type of sponge 🧽 for non stick things , it works well. The inside of the machine I use a throw away cloth that has hot soapy water and rub round the elements , mine is not too bad unless I use breadcrumbs 😂they burn on 😂😂
is it recomended on air friers to use not stick paper to bake meat , potatoes etsc or not?
will this affect the level of baking?
Hi , lots of people use foil and silicone paper in there airfryers without any damage and I can only speak for Ninja as that’s the only make I have but they state is some recipes to use foil to stop some things from drying out . I think with paper and the fact the heat elements are directly above there could be a fire risk but I am not certain !!! Sorry I cannot be of more help
@@cookingwithsusie Thank you for the answer.
That’s looking yummmm.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you Sky xx
Is there a way to clean around the fans as it collects the most grease etc
@@cookingwithsusieoh that's brilliant since the 400 model is the one that I've been looking at on sale. Thanks again
What make/brand is your balsamic vinegar? Thank you
Hi Lyn the make is Belazu I buy the one that is about £15 now , but it lasts me long time as you only need to use small amounts xxxx
What’s the balsamic vinegar please? Where can I get it from? Some people have it with strawberries!!! Really!
Xxx

Hi Susie... Great video!! I'm going to do sausages tonight now! Could you also share the sausage pasta recipe you mentioned?

Hi, could you tell me whether you have the 7.5 litre or the foodi max 9 litre please? I can't tell from your video and it looks big enough for two people so would be ideal. Enjoyed the video thanks
Hi Valerie I have the smaller 7.5 litre Ninja and it is perfect for two ! Although I often wish when the family are around it was the bigger one 😂 thanks for watching xx
You make me feel so homely when I watch you ❤
I heard 1 cal spray damages the non stick coating, is that the case ?
I have been told it does ! But I cannot say for sure , I use very little oil in the airfryer I tend to toss things in a tablespoons of oil then put them into the airfryer so they just get a light coat and it is on the food not on the pan . It seems to work for me xxx
Whats the brand of Balsamic vinegar you mention Susie ?
Oh thanks Andy xx
Hello thanks for your time today and the video you provided, just had 1 xmas but is it iOK for one living on there own, you explained how to use it so simple thank you from Dave.❤
Than you Dave, hope the new year is good to you xx
I was thinking of getting one but I’m on my own too, is it worth the outlay ?
I have a few friends who have lost their partners and they all have airfryers . They did not buy ninja they went for known brands but a lot cheaper than Ninja . They bought small airfryers , one friend manages to get a small chicken in hers which lasts her a couple of days . It really depends on the type of food you normally eat , if you are a person who has a lot of salads then maybe you would not use it xxx
I just subbed on your sausage video... lovely Susie. Where do you buy that balsamic? Col x
Thank you and my Balsamic I get from waitrose as I live about 500 yards from it 😂 but I have been told you can buy it at Tesco too . Many thanks for you comment xx
Just got the ninja dual draw to go with our 15 in 1 and your videos will be a great help 🙏
Hi Jeff I love my dual draw ninja and I really believe that they will support each other . Thanks for commenting xxx
Wont it take less time to cook if you heat the Ninja till it sais 'add food'?
You don’t get that feature on my ninja , but thanks for mentioning it xx
I fancied sausages for my dinner and have the ninja foodi max. I found your video and it helped a lot so I have subscribed. Thanks Susie :)
Glad it helped and thank you for subscribing xxx
Can you use cake tins in a air fryer
Yes you can , I have a ninja cake tin for my 15 in 1 and if you have cake tins that fit your airfryer they should work xxx
These look fantastic, can't wait to get my air fryer. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Thank you Charlie , best item I have bought in a long time , I am sure you will love yours xx
I steel waiting . One month gone since i did my shop. Hope you received your fryer))
Your kitchen is so nice looking. I love the colour.
Thank you , it is very old ! We rent this house and cannot change anything , but we like it xx
I was wondering what time and temperature do you use when cooking sausage from frozen
How hot does the Ninja get on its base and top. Safe on worktops or do you stand in on a tray.
Hardly hot at all , perfectly safe on work tops , it does get quite warm on the actual top and I pull it well out from underneath the units above so it has lots of ventilation xx
@@cookingwithsusie Thanks that's great info.
You are very welcome xx
Which model are you using please?
Hi Kev, mine is the small300 model , I now feel I wish I had the bigger 400 😂 thanks for commenting
where is he best place to buy acceseries for ninja cookin like spray bottles
Hi Robert, I have bought my things through Amazon , purely as it was easier for me as I work full time so time is very limited. I know other people have bought things in stores but cannot tell you which as I don’t know . Xx
Hi Robert, I don’t actually use spray bottles myself , I hardly use oil with the ninja, if I do I usually put things in a bowl and toss it around then into ninja . I would think Lakeland sell most things or good old Amazon , sadly due to work I don’t get much time for shopping 😂.xx

Hi there my favourite brand is Belazu it is I think one of the best , you can buy it online and it is quite expensive but you really don’t use a lot as it is more like a syrup ! Retails about £14 but it does come on offer and I paid £11.50 for my last bottle xxx
Just put the details in my comments section for you , it is Belazu is the brand xx
Suspect do you remove the tray when doing a beef bourguignon type dish as the ninja book does not say anything about that
I know lots of people take the tray out when doing things like that , I tend to use glass dishes when I am doing that type of thing , then the dish just goes in the dish washer when finished .
Could I use a glass dish to cook sausages and burgers?thank you
You could ! But quite honestly I think they are better on the rack inside pan , the fats then drip through to the bottom and your food is not soaking in fats . The glass dishes are great when you are cooking with fluids . I am going to be doing some individual lasagna and things like that . Thanks so much for the comment xxx
Hi, I always preheat when cooking sausages, I noticed you don't. Any reason?
It just says in the ninja hand book no need to ! I have noticed a lot of others do pre heat but I have never needed to , I will have to give it a try , thanks for commenting xxx
I always put a sheet of foil on the crisper tray, it collects the fat and gunge and makes cleaning the basket a lot easier
Good to know xxx

How do you cook frozen sausages pls?
I cooked frozen sausages the same way as fresh sausage using the airfry mode but I lower the temperature to 170 and it takes longer but it makes sure they are cooked right through xx
@@cookingwithsusie Thank you, I will try it 🙂👍
No, you should never prick sausages these day.
