Start your chicken breast side down first, then flip it to normal halfway through. Chop your garlic and mix it through your softened butter (add herbs and spices) and then either rub it all over the chicken or slip it under the chicken skin. The resulting juices in the bottom of the ninja drawer will make a fantastic gravy. As they say ‘fake it, till you make it’
Agreed, Philip. I start mine breast-side down on a baking paper liner, then halfway through remove the liner and turn the chicken over. Then I add my salts and spices, and finish cooking breast-side up.
Is that an extra large chicken? It looks delicious I always start cooking the chicken breast side down for 30 minutes then turn over for rest of time looks lovely
Hi Vicky Thanks for the kind question -- I think it's a medium to large chicken... And thanks for the tips, I definitely need to do those next time. Good luck with your air fryer!
Hi Tom Thanks for the kind question -- we use the MinoSharp sharpener, which I think is a brabd owned by Global Knives - I think it's the official one. I've also used the IKEA and Joseph Joseph ones, but the minosharp ceramic wheels it uses looks like the kindest to the knives. Hope this helps!!
I would add some Peri-Peri Sauce to spice it up a little and some Tandoori Powder but I can't wait to try it soon. What is the capacity in litres for this model?
@@DADDELIVERS Excellent thanks for the prompt 👍. I am getting a 12 litre model soon from Salter, as its a reliable brand with 3️⃣ year warranty! You can remove the middle divider for continuous large space 👍
Hi @outoftownr3906 - thanks for your very kind comment and question. The chopping board is brilliant, and it's a Joseph Joseph Cut&Carve chopping board (Amazon commissions earned) US - amzn.to/3uBAMAB UK - amzn.to/42RNjfK Hope this helps and thanks again!
Mate, marinate it in a separate bowl to start off. You barely seasoned properly with salt or pepper, must taste very bland 😂. But full credit cooked well!
Thanks Stephen. You're right. I suppose in a sense, what if there is no point to anything. This is completely pointless. All is completely pointless. Genuinely, good luck on the quest for the point. We're all rooting for you.
First you need an airfyer and you need a chicken aswell. I'm glad you are here to tell us these things. Chewie take the professor out the back and plug him into the hyperdrive.
Damn you have some dangerous kitchen hygiene. And you season the chicken BEFORE putting it in, you also must season the inside of the bird. You put the chicken in with the back side up, then you flip it with the breast up in the end.
You should never put chicken straight from packet . You should clean it first with lemon, salt & water first, then seasoning & leave for approx 1 hour. Then put holes in chicken, season with butter etc.
This video basically teaches people how to cause serious injury to the fingers with a large kitchen knife - When you cut the lemon and the garlic bulbs, you used the the wrong, VERY DANGEROUS technique and I'm not surprised you eventually cut yourself... The very first thing to do in ANY cooking endeavour, is to learn how to use a kitchen knife safely...
Its a chicken as long as its off the bone and on the plate there aint alot you can do wrong!! Obviously you cut it so much better it tastes different no ?
@@ITFC_Mark Well this cut feels different in the mouth, than a properly cut chicken. This way you can't feel it's juiciness, like you can in a thick piece.
@@ITFC_Mark You can blend a steak, and it will still taste like a steak, but would you prefer the steak whole or blended when eating it??? It's NOT the taste, but the feeling in your mouth.

I’m making this tonight following your instructions minus garlic in my new ninja airfryer 9.5ltr . Looking forward to it
Hope the chicken went okay and thanks for taking the time to leave a kind comment, I really appreciate it!
Just done our New Year Chicken dinner in the Ninja. Your video definitely helped. No garlic or lemon but cooked to perfection so thank you
🤜🏻🤛🏻
Fantastic, that's really great to hear Sandy -- Good luck with your air fryer!!! ♨♨♨
What size is the air fryer is it the 7.6 one
9.5

Just bought this Air fryer, defiantely will be making this !
Thanks -- good luck with your air frying!
I Love all your videos, your channel is one of my favourites on UA-cam. need to go get me a chicken now..
Haha thanks for the kind message Deryk, appreciate it
Thank you for showing me how to cook a full chicken in the air fryer ❤. Just love it 😍😍❤
Thanks for the kind message Maureen, really appreciate it. Good luck with the chicken!
@DADDELIVERS I followed your recipe and it was delicious and thank you 😍
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you
Thanks for the very kind comment Mags, I really appreciate it. Good luck with your air fryer!
How are you keeping your global knife sharp, specifically what sharpener do you use?

Merci for the kind comment @mrdrissou_ !
Are you using a 8qt or 10qt air fryer?
Hi, thanks for the kind question Diane: This is the 10 quart fryer
Hope this helps and good luck with your air fryer
My AF 180c 30 mins then turn for 30 mins. Works every time !
Brilliant - thanks Geoff. I'm going to try that next time!
Do you keep the tray in - some take it out?
Can you tell me how deep is the inside of the air fryer baset?
I would add some Peri-Peri Sauce to spice it up a little and some Tandoori Powder but I can't wait to try it soon. What is the capacity in litres for this model?
That sounds delicious thanks!
This model capacity is 4.75L for each basket, so 9.5L in total - hope this helps!

Makes the best roast chicken ever!!!
Thanks Hoss!
Interesting. I don't have an air fryer but I do have a convection oven in my microwave.
Ahh, thanks - I've not tried one yet.
Is this the AF300UK, THE AF400UK OR?😳
THANK YOU.
Thanks for asking, Anna
It is the AF400UK
Hope this helps!
The chicken needs to be cleaned! No need to fry the feathers!
Why didn't you do this before you put it in airfyre and seasoned your chicken!!
Probably because I am a terrible cook. That would be a much better idea! Thanks
😂😂😂😂@@DADDELIVERS
Very informative and good video. Can you tell what size the ninja froodi is that you use in the video. is it 7.6 liter or 9.5 liter model.
Thanks for the very kind comment Peter, I appreciate it...
It's the NINJA FOODI MAX 9.5L/10quart - hope this helps!
Hello
Please can you give me a link to the chopping board you used
Thanks

You could cut te extremities of the chicken. So they won't burn... or cook the chicken in an (convection) oven...😉
Thanks for the kind suggestion Marc - I'll try that next time! 🤞
The whole chickens ALWAYS look juicy with all the fryers and I would get it just for that because I love chicken especially a juicy tender chicken
Too true -thanks for the kind comment
I just go to Sam's Club and get one ready for $4.99 already cooked.
"Wow, he's going to cut his finger if he peels his garlic like that". Too late.
Great vid though!
Thanks!
It only takes an hour in my conventional oven also you can surround with potatoes parsnips etc and they will cook and roast in the dripping.
That sounds fantastic, thanks Leo
I don't have a conventional oven but I have an air fryer.
That's why I chose to watch this guy's video.
Your comment needs reflection.
You should see if you can fit in ya own oven you Noddy
lol what a reply ! I would love to be as positive as you … the person was looking for a conflict and you’ve answered it sounds fantastic
Mate, marinate it in a separate bowl to start off. You barely seasoned properly with salt or pepper, must taste very bland 😂. But full credit cooked well!
Crazy chicken still has feathers 😢
It would be a lot better breast down for the first half of the cooking process and then flip, always produces best results
Thanks Melitaszoo!
Roasting is not air frying! May as well put it in a conventional oven.
An air fryer is a conventional oven it’s just smaller. Air fryer is just a gimmick marketing term
Nah mate shush
The chicken looks bit dry though not sure about the taste. I would recommend marinating for few hours before cooking
That's a great idea - thanks for the kind comment @thepathofislam1088 Good luck with your next dinner!
Cooks the whole chicken perfectly. But what about everything else? potatoes, veggies, etc. You still need the oven so what´s the point?
Thanks Stephen. You're right. I suppose in a sense, what if there is no point to anything. This is completely pointless. All is completely pointless.

The basket on the other side mate 👍

The passive aggressive in these comments 🤣🤣🤣

this is bad.. have you cooked before?

Truss the legs pal.
Its pink 🤮
Who the hell puts chicken in their mouth that's just come straight out of the air fryer. A sure fire way to injure your mouth.
My wigga! No washing or seasoning of the meat?
