So glad to see a video like this finally. The first of its kind. I sourced a wing in perfect condition from a local EV scrapyard. The install was a piece of cake but I was terrified doing it because I was going in blind because there was nothing online to offer instructions. The wing looks so much better.
@AussieAdventures84 email Alex at pluginev.au and ask him for a white one shipped to you, if you are in Australia - he supplied my one. Mention the video and he'll do you a deal
Hopefully this video helps others install the wing! Luckily I did have a flexible magnetic arm to retrieve some dropped bolts in the hatch, that's about the only thing I forgot to mention in the video.
Hi, I have an excite 51 and want a wing. Can you tell me the price from Alex? and the freight and time it took. I want to compare with the dealer. I'm in Sydney. TY
Hey, I think the email address they gave us is wrong. The mail system says it can't be delivered because the address doesn't exist or can't receive emails.
G'day Tim Great work Am struggling to contact Alex I just attempted to create my first facebook account Suspended before I finished signing up Can you help please?
Considering the wing difference between the two cars is an entirely different unit, it makes me wonder why the the no-wing unit has those two silly looking cutout things, like, hey here is where the wing is supposed to sit, even though it isn't at all!
True, I was wondering that myself - whether the two cutouts could be removed to reveal... something? Much happier with the wing on, it suits the profile of the car a lot more.
Maybe if you damage the car while installing the wing, then you'd have no recourse to warranty. But let's say you have a problem with the lane keeping assist, MG would be hard pressed to justify denying you warranty because of the wing which has nothing to do with LKA. The manufacturer would have to demonstrate the change made to you car was directly responsible for the fault.
Sounds good in theory, but for it to be a valid comparison you'd have to do, maybe 10 runs with no wing from 100% to 0% under exactly reproducible conditions, then 10 runs with the twin wing under exactly the same conditions. It's not a valid reproducible test in the real world. Doing a one off test with and without the wing is not scientifically valid. For just driving around town, city short runs, mostly at 60km the wing will have no effect on consumption. Putting your foot down fast a couple of times would have more effect. Anyway it looks awesome and that's all I care about.
My guess is you would have already accumulated enough data with the videos you've done And now only need to assess variations on future journeys @@bozugarage

Enjoying the videos, and thank you for your guide to installing my own Dashcam - project set for this weekend
Se ha quedado increíble un saludo desde España !!!
I love the MG modding videos!
If you've got any suggestions for more MG mods let me know. Most of my modifcations are in my JDM cars though
@@bozugarageout the rear tailightssss plsss
Looks great with the spoiler on it now, I am lucky as I have the X power
xpower is a mental machine, very easy to get used to the insane acceleration of it - enjoy!
Great informative video, thanks for sharing!..
Great video.. can you make one for adding the powered tailgate?
Sure, if someone wants to send me the parts required :)
If you want the spoiler surely it’s better to just buy one which comes with it as standard?
Some of us prefer LFP chemistry and this is only available in the base model
Personally i prefer mine without, the spoiler adds extra drag and lower miles /kwh
Here in Indonesia MG4 only available with 51kwh LFP battery and full spec features
Great guide, personally I’d get the roof wrapped black to match…
Great video.how much Sun dose it block?
Not much I think! Looks good.
How to install the mg 4 headlight modification sir ???
What headlight modification?
Hi, Thanks for the great video, But I wonder how can you order the color, as I see on the link of product is only base color (black) thanks

In theory it should improve autonomy ~3%
I love what you say if any id10t can do it. Similar saying to me if a Blindman can do it anyone can.

Did you mention the price?
Might have forgotton that! $850 delivered in Australia, painted to match your car.
I think I'd prioritize the towbar kit over that, the look of the original doesn't bother me that much.
Depends what you need the car for - I've towed things exactly 3 times in my life and just borrow friend's cars for that purpose

我正打算拆掉这该死的尾翼,这个世界太疯狂了
Did anyone do the opposite and removed the wing on the upper trim car?
pretty much exactly the same process. Yank off the side panels, undo a few bolts and unclip the brake light connector then swap around.
How much did it cost?
For aussies, $850 delivered in Australia, painted to match your car, including black side trims. Contact Alex, pluginev.au
I love it . When buying a new MG4 Standard, do I run the risk of losing the warranty by making this change?

Missed oportunity to make a before and after consumption test. To me the wing is not worth it if it impacts consumption a lot

I don't suppose anybody ships a blue wing to the UK do they? 😂
