- In this video, we are continuing our Coin Quest Nickels series by coin roll hunting another $100 box of nickels in search of rare and valuable coins that we can use to fill up our collection books. This box has a lot to offer, with old coins coming out just about every roll! Some of them end up being rarer than others, and one of them just downright blew my mind. Thanks for watching and happy hunting!

Hey everyone, welcome back to a brand new coin roll hunt! I know that a lot of you have been missing these types of videos since I started the Ultimate Coin Hunt series a few months ago. Like I said when I started it, coin roll hunting isn't going anywhere! I still have a ton of work to do on my Coin Quest collection albums, and being away from them for so long has made me super excited to get back into them! I hope you all enjoy this week's video. Thanks for watching and happy hunting!
Hi

Hello you can't you can tell
I found a 1945 D while remodeling my home. I was removing the old duct work and it fell out and hit me in the head. Some kids at some point put it down the return vent I'm assuming. Thanks to whoever that mischievous kid was lol.
Nice lol bro got a whole ass war nickel fixing the gutter lol
I have a war nickle several 1964 a couple 40s
Thank you for your information on collecting rare coins!!! Have a blessed day because you deserve it!!!
Thank you for your information on rare nickel! Have a blessed day because you deserve it!!!
Found 2 1950s nickels stacked on top of each other about 4 inches down at old school with detector. In 15 years of detecting have never seen anything like this before or since.
That is where in a School locker that a kid seen a coin struck in beteew the shelf and side, and he took his knife and got it out and it was a 1943 copper penny that he took home to his dad to find out if it was worth anything.
Great viseo! I was lucky enough to find a 1950 D nickel last year coin roll hunting! It is cool that they are still out there!
cool! I found a 1943 s Nickel. I found it when a customer bought coffee, and a novelty gold plated New York quarter in the quarter roll.
Hi, I have be on or more . Thanks
I have a 1940 nickel
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!

I just started collecting coins but not sure what I really should look for! Thank you love you video
Glad to see you able to get coins. Can't do much detecting in the cold weather.
Another great video, but i realized as i am watching i should be writing down a lot of notes on the great information you are telling us about certain coin years.Keep up the passing your knowledge Ryan.Thank You
Thanks Dave! I'm glad that you are finding them to be helpful! I really appreciate your support!
Very interesting quin I'm new at coin collection I find it very interesting on the coins that have a interesting story behind it I started it as a hobby and the interesting coins I held on to and most are in a good condition are the ones I hear fro most collectors that are hard to find well here's yours truly like I said I'm new at this and I am nearly figureing how to certified and grading these coins I learn something today on here quinscoins thank you
I love doing nickel boxes. I kept all of the S nickels I find. Probably because I’m on the East Coast. Penny boxes are also fun to do. Glad ur back, stay safe and keep hunting
I have 1941 D nickle for sale
I have a 1940 D for sale
Nice work Quin!! My Pops was every bank tellers best friend in a 5 mile radius around his home....When Pops scored BIGTIME on rolls he would bring home and go through......He always bought the tellers working that day lunch!! Let's say he had many "bank friends" and spent his last remaining years collecting doing just like you did Quin.. and I laughed and said he was a dying breed...Best of luck to you Quin and happy hunting...... Cheers 🍻🥂
Welcome back! Your streams were the first ones I ever watched! I always learn something new!
Really? This kid is by far the worst coin collector on UA-cam. Then again, he's just a kid. Nevertheless, he is by no means an expert. The fact that he had to look up the mintage for a 1940 nickel reflects his rank ability and rank beginners should not be making videos.
@@ChaChingSeeker Seems more like you're the one with the problem given the fact you can't handle criticism. And what's with me not having any videos? Do you really believe you need to have videos to have an identity or any credibility? That's pathetic. You should consider what you say lest you become a snowflake.
But I shouldn't be upset with him as everyone is entitled to their own niche on the net. No, I should be upset with UA-cam for putting so many remedial videos on their home page when I didn't request them.
If you want to learn the science of numismatics then go to the channel RobFindsTresure. He's a consummate professional and expert. But come on now, 3, 2, 1, ... that's downright silly.
@@butchcassidy2039 whatever! Bye bye!
@@ChaChingSeeker Now its clear you're the one with the problem. Listen, kid videos need to be on kid websites. That seems fair to me. And although I'm not your mentor (nor would I want to) I certainly know a lot more than you. So stop your silly whining.
@@butchcassidy2039 I'm not the one whining. Hope you have a great day!
Good to see you back de-boxing.
1949 was a great year. Good job keep coin roll hunting 👍
Yes! I love this vedio, i find one ceres 1941 neckel denver, at the old samsonite bag
The only oldest 5 cent peice of a Jefferson nickel I have is a 1945 on the reverse above the monument there is a P for Philadelphia ontop the monument. The others are 1960-1977. The 1945 is a beauty, not any scratches, but is worn down and very shiny. I'd be stoked finding any nickel from the 50's and below is a great find. Injoyed this very much thanks.
Its cool you do the Canadian coins as well! Not very many people focused on ANY foreign coins and Canadian coins are pretty common in our money. Greatly appreciate that😀
I love any and ever coin no matter if it worth nothing or worth a lot. I have a binder full of coins from all over the world and a binder full of paper money from around the world from a wide range of dates and rven hand stamped coins
I have subscribed to your channel. 3,2 and 1. I love it.
First time seeing your channel can you do a whole series on black beauty type coins thats more specific with values so far its been a gamble on value information of what there worth as coins . From all the research limited but there is a specific nickel of that type thats high value of it being graded for condition..love this channel
👌🏼Hopefully your watch time #'s are excelling along with these hunts. BTW, told you that I was going to purchase a Silver Stacking matt as soon as you made them. $15 bones added to the fellow "Gander's" account, earlier this weekend.👍🏼(Can't wait to bust out my next box of 1/2's on it. Wish me luck! Take care UofM Bud, and Princeton?
A fellow worker got me interested in coin collecting,so, on payday he convinced me to get two rolls of pennies,as a start.BEGINNERS LUCK! I FOUND AN INDIAN HEAD IN THE VERY FIRST ROLL.
Dang that's awesome!
Holy frick lmao, I think I’ve found 1-2 of those ever, and I’ve done easily over 2 dozen penny boxes...
He took beginners luck to a whole other level for real
Huge LIKE my friend! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you!
Thank you for all the info !! Really enjoyed your video !!
Thank you so much!
I found a 1944 S nickel its so pretty snd shinier than normal nickels. Thats always been a unique nickel to me. I know its partly silver just dont know anything else about it
Good to see you doing CRH again. I missed this.
Me too! I think I will probably do a mix of coin roll hunting and metal detecting until the ground freezes. I am having a hard time getting quarters right now because of the coin shortage, so I might venture into dimes. I also have plenty of work to do on my nickel books and I still have lots of Canadian pennies to look through as well!
Quin's Coins Nice. I gotta get to the bank myself at some point and get some coins to hunt. My collection income this year is so much lower than the past two. 2019 especially was a great year for collecting for me. I got a lot of good stuff.
Yeah I think most people would agree that 2019 was a much better year for a number of reasons. Well I hope you score big next time you're able to get your hands on some coins! Good luck!
Quin's Coins Thanks, Ryan. Good luck to you as well.

First time here and loving your set up!!!
As a machinist who works with nickel and nickel alloys I can tell you that heat causes that color change.
Thanks…… Always wondered why!
I'm Canadian. With no pennies now and everything rounded up we are loaded with nickles. Lots of old ones still circulating. My mom used to collect. She'd buy all my old coins off of me when I was young. I only have a few old USA pennies and some Canadian old coins.
Good to see you pop up in my suggested videos. Hope all is well

Nice find! Surprisingly, I have found 38 P/D/S, 39 P/S, Several Buffalos, Tons of War nickels, but never a 55 P, 51 S. Still looking though. :) Have you found a V nickel yet? I am still waiting to find my first.
Man if you and I combined our collections, I think we would have just about a full set! And yeah I have found v-nickels on a couple occasions. The first video that really went big on my channel involved v nickels: ua-cam.com/video/ppPr8ajZSdo/v-deo.html

@@CoinHunterChris you found a 50 D nickel???? It’s the key date of the series
@@ChaimMosheZaltsman nope, never.
I've got a 1955 D 4sale
Thanks for the input. How about the 1964 nickel without a mint is that worth anything?
Do you have a video on key dates for nickels? And What constitutes as low mintage? Hopefully you have a video on that as well.
Been collecting since I was little, but never have done any real research or digging, money has just always interested me.
I don't have a video specifically for this, but my placemats have info on this! You can check them out at www.quinscoins.com
I got a quarter from change 2020 with a west point mint stamp.
If you dont mind i am new to coins what is a west point mint mark?
@@kennysailer5389 basically coins made for collectors that were produced in West Point and have a W as the mint mark
Was it the crossing the Delaware quarter? I've been on the hunt for it. No luck yet.
In 2008,the nickel's melt value was over 8 cents/coin, due to the high price of nickel. Then it plunged, but is back to about 4.5 cents now. Hang on to all those nickles.
I dont know much about coins but isnt melting coins for profit illegal?
Great show every time and learn a lot, and have some Proof nickels from 57 to 88D, and are they worth anything.?
This toning is from pennies mixed with other coins. If it gets wet and sits, or if you wash a jar of mixed coins. The galvanic effect is transferred, the silver gets this rainbow effect. It’s essentially plating or cladding. It can easily e recreated. And it won’t wash off. It has to wear off. I always separate Pennie’s from the rest. Also the green penny corrosion happens this way.
Why don't you just leave the coin mat on the information side to start with?
I like to show the different types of coins and reference them throughout the video so I generally keep it on the graphics side by default.
That is not artificiL
my heart cant handle this excitement..........
Your channel have me coin hunting, Mount Rushmore in perfect condition where you can see a man on a latter, climbing up the face, and at the bottom, a man is on a building bridge. I'm putting it in a frame, with a super magnifing glass, with a battery operated LED, in frame, so when you walk by, you can see the coin in detail. Why buy art, when we can make our own. Thought it was a brilliant idea, hoping I can find a super magnifier to put in the frame facing Mount Rushmore. I have alot of Wheat Pennies S Mints, and a rare one with a 5 date mark you can see the error of a 3 printed on the edge, my Great Uncle would give me wheat pennies, and my mom has a collection. Just the the day I got a 2000 dime it's rainbow in the middle, no acorns and it's pure sliver, there is absolutely no copper even when looking with my pocket QC magnifier. Even my magnifier is very old Paragon Harold M Pitman Co from long ago wkn with one of the oldest printing companies, that started out big by interviewing President Lincoln.
I really should make another account so I could subscribe and like twice...
Sir thank u for your nice vedios so interesting to watch..over and over..
you needed that one for your collections book
Great Hunt always nice to find a collection stuffer!
I have a 1949-s I found it in change back in the 70's after buying some ice cream . its in very good shape.
I need a key date calendar too
Nice coin book like it
I was wondering where could one possibly aquire the books for my coins?
Best find so far a 1914 d lincoln... and a 1940s nickel 1941 to be exact.
While listening to this video I happened to leave to go to my toolbox and the first coin that I pulled out was a 1948 s mint. Maybe I'll start taking a look at my coins
So, as fast as you are going through those, you're not checking closely for double dies? I found a 2011 with doubling on both sides. But it's beat up.
Where did you purchase the cool desk magnifying glass?
Thanks!
Thank you so much Bobby!!
Some of the bison nickels have nice toning
Mine is uncirulated as well, nice strick.

Great coins
Where would i find the coin books ?
Besides the library; i want to buy them
I have a 64 & 57 mark on back.
Thanks.
1964's might be the most common, but I love collecting them. Also, 1967 was the last year they put the mint mark on the back. You had said 1964. Just thought I'd let you know.
'64 was the last year they put the mint marks on the reverse. In 1965,1966,1967 only the Philadelphia mint produced nickels for circulation and they didn't have any mint marks. 1968 was when they first started putting the D, and S mint marks on the obverse of the nickels. Philadelphia didn't start putting the P mint mark on the obverse side of the Nickels until 1980. Also to add before 1980 the only time the P mint marks were ever on any of the Nickels was the war nickels of 1942,1943,1944, and 1945 where they put the P mint mark on the reverse above Monticello.
Im new to your site n love it! Do you have to sell the coin books also?
Where do you get a sheet like the one you have there?
You can get them here: www.quinscoins.com
I recently found a 1939 and a 1943 with the mint mark P above Monticello
Thanks. I love old coins. What about European coins minted in the 40s?
Have an older Bufffalo nickel where can I get it checked out.
Where do you get the coin books from and the list of how much they are valued at??
Hi, I was wondering if you can tell me anything about this 1944 nickel that I have, on the back side of the coin, and above the dome, there is an "S". The coin is pretty smooth and warn down but no nicks or anything. What is your opinion? Thankyou for your time.
Hi Lucy, what you have is a 35% silver war nickel. They are worth their weight in silver, and sometimes more! I'd hold onto it if I were you!
Wow..i love it❤️😔🥰
That rainbow tone looks so good. Hope it is real.
Very informative I found a 64 D and they say it's worth $500 it's so shiny it's ridiculous. But you brushed over all the sixty fours so now I don't know if it has any value at all
