I recently found a a 1977 D quarter out metal detecting. I immediately noticed that there was something different about the composition of the coin... which led me to check with JB coin if there were any information about it. Well, it turns out after placing it on the scale - it weighs 5.7 g... and in better shape than the one showcased in this video... and better yet it is uncleaned.
You need to send it to be graded it will cost you a few dollars but after that you may get rich. At least have a lot for a quarter. But when sending it threw the mail besure to insure it as if it was a diamond. God luck it was just your turn to be blessed.
I have a 1977 D quarter
I have a 1977 American quarter dollar with a upside down head
After watching this video I found one right away where do I send pictures and how do I get it graded to know if it's a good one can I send pictures here
@@muzzy823 you should make good money off of it !
I just started watching your videos and really learning alot so far I have most of the coins in your videos been picking up dropped change for years
I have 1! While watching videos, I almost put it aside as another video talked about no mint mark. After seeing your video- I got super excited. Scale 1st read 5.7, then dipped to 5.6
I have been saving quarters for years but do remember seeing bicentennial quarters a couple of times. Going to check my quarters carefully!
Drummer boy or crossing the Delaware.
Yes. I'm learning from your vid's. Thank you two for your efforts to share and educate.
I have come across so many of these quarters and now I should start weighing them for sure thanks JB
I must thank my dear Auntie for my inheritance that has been very interesting journey and and my heart understanding of all the different errors silver front and back
Very educational. Liked and subbed. I have an 1877-cc Seated Half dollar I bought on eBay. Something about the surfaces looked too good to be true. But I took a chance and sent it to ANACS for grading. It came back AU50, Re-punched Date but cleaned. The seller offered to refund me my money and return the coin. When I looked up the value with the RPD, I thanked him and said I'd keep it. I've sent a lot of coins to ANACS and have found them to be as strict or stricter than the other 3rd party grading services. Cheers, Bob
I just got a 1977 uncirculated from a coworker. This thing is amazing
Never clean my coins and I always check transitional date and I am going to check 4 any 77 quarters thank you for the info
I just n ow got a 77 at the store might have one at home
I have a 1977 quarter, and a 1976 quarter, and the 1776-1976 quarter also, they're nice, I'm going to look for them in my box and look at them again.❤
Thank you for your information. I have several '77 quarters and I will look at them closely. Hopefully I'll have some good finds.
Hopefully, maybe a few, maybe. I've always weighed for transitional silver or copper coins. It's fun to search anyways. Many people commented having one, don't think paid enough attention to weight of a silver coin.
Love the information and the quarter...wished they hadn't cleaned it and I know the owner wished that, too!
Thank you for the informations. GOD Bless you sir & your family❤
I am so excited about this quarter dallour because by watching this video remind me I have one just like that one you guys showing
I come across 77 D's quarters all the time and never noticed anything odd but I will start to examine more closely thanks for the update Great Video Guys
There are looking at one right now
I have one too
Wow I have at least 15 of these quarters plus multiple (20+) 1776-1976 bicentennials from each of the mints.. alot in excellent condition
Mebe mor
I have a 1977 d quarter should it have copper around it?
Cleaning a coin is bad. But if you do it the right way even PCGS won't notice. A coin dealer on UA-cam got some Morgan dollars and cleaned them all, all but 2 came back between ms-63 - ms-65. Only 2 of them came back as genuine but cleaned. I was impressed by this experiment. So technically if you do it correctly it won't ruin your coin.
yea i thank they ort to pass in in law that if its ok with them it is us to if its right
Yes I believe if there is one coin made like that , there are more out there . Good video - thank you !!!!
Thanks for sharing this video now I'm going to start looking very careful and might find one 👍👍
I haven't checked my coin collection..but I'm almost certain I may have them because I save ALL of my old change..and I have numerous examples of these that could match up.
Awesome, I have this exact coin!
Very interesting. Have collected coins since I was a little kid, and did NOT know about this quarter!
I find the 77 quarters all of the time. As a matter of fact, I picked up 3 of them last might at the laundry mat.
Oops I spent one of them.
LOL, I think I might have 3 of these. My husband is getting tired of me grabbing his change!
I just saw your video yes I just got a 1977 quarter yesterday with my change at the store it caught my eye because it looked funny and kind of thick. Around the edges u Can see a weird off struck look around the edges so I have what appears to definitely be one
First of all I really appreciate you and all your knowledge, thank you. I have a 1977 D and a 1976 D bicentennial quarters. And both don't attach to magnet what should I do next?
I've always enjoyed your content it's very informative and to the point keep up the good work because we don't know everything I'm saved all the Washington quarters just for this they find errors 30 and 40 years later then the coin was produced
I have
I'm sure there are more out there. The bad part about roll hunting is if you find one some one may have already cleaned it before you found it and that would be a bummer. Thanks for the video and info J&B
It would be a bummer for thieves who stole my family's coin collection. I cleaned them with backing soda. I was 10 and, didn't know any better to not clean them. So whoever stole it is going to find out what I did to them.
Nice! I’m a newbie , and I’m enjoying your videos,,,, very Informativo! Thanks for sharing the KNOWLEDGE.
New sub! Your voice is very
soothing and your channel is
helpful for a beginner! 😊✌
Where there’s one most likely there is a second. Having worked on a production line when we were switching from one product to another there was always some that got away. There would be product left in the hoppers that would actually fall into the wrong bags. We would always try to catch those bags coming off the lines but it was impossible to catch them all. U can bet I went back and weighed all my 1977 D coins looking for that one that got away.
Absolutely amazing that's crazy I've been checking all my change I think I have some pretty good coins.
I have that coins I'm here in Philippines
I just found one TODAY that's why I'm on your channel! 🤞🏼
I just came across one ,I'll check it thanks for the info bro.
Awesome information!! Great video!
Hello JB another great video you have made for us. Thank You
Hello JB, I have many old coins. I am learning so much about coins from watching you show, Thank You.. I have 1889 silver dollar 's. Wheat Penny's, Indian Head pennies, all kinds of old money. How do I find out what they're worth.
Wow ! I have a few of these . And some rolls of bicentennial quarters I never thought they would be worth anything .
Good evening sir I watch ur video every day I am going to send you a picture of my 1977 D quater its in great condition
I was going through a roll of halves today and found a 1980 half that just has a blob for mint-mark. Never seen anything like it and I've been collecting for 30 years.
I've heard it's d over s or it could very been damaged dye
I found a 1994 quarter the silver on top is folded over and covers the b in Liberty
I've been BLESSED BY KING JESUS CHRIST MY LORD AND SAVIOR OUR CREATOR AND MY GOD TO FIND AN ODD "94
Nice how much.?
I have this coin. I was thinking about cleaning it. But since i seen this video never mind ill leave it as it is. Gotta go and take it to get evaluated by experts. I also have a 1966 quarter with no mint mark. Such beautiful coins. Coins that are hard to find in circulation now this days. Since times are changing and quarters as well
I have one. Think I will have it graded. It looks pretty nice for a circulated coin
I've been just tossing the 1977 quarters into the nothing pile without even looking at them. I guess its true what they say, check every coin. I'll definitely pay more attention to the 1977D. Thanks for sharing.
I Yes...I do have one and not sure where to go from here ....
Found a dime that has a look like the 1977 quarter displayed. The look of silver toned/tarnish looks different that a regular one. I keep everything I find interesting and irregular. After looking through enough coins you'll know what's everyday average could be slight doubling thickening of the letters but recently I've been finding what some videos say as doubling and when I ask about them I get no when I can reference many things I see and hear that would say other wise but into my collection it goes have a 1977 double die half dollar and use it as a reference all the time as I know its a legit ddo and seem to always get told otherwise I still love coin hunting and do it for myself and as a time and stress relief money is far from my motivation to hunt but often ask my self how can they not see what I see and the only option is to but a better microscope cause the you only need 8 to 10x magnifier is not it apparently you have to have something way stronger to see better cause I'm constantly getting images are clear enough have a 40x loop and a 100x times magnifier clip on for phones and those aren't able to capture and be enough so have to buy something better. Been finding a lot of dimes that seem to have doubling on the date but don't know if it's common place cause some are just to compelling to think other wise
Oh I'm sure there's more and I just might have one! I'll have to check my bank.. 😍
I definitely believe I may have one. The date and mint are correct and I picked it out of change because it sounded like silver. It definitely looks odd.
I Love ❤️ ALL your videos!! With honestly information!!! Keeping it up !!!!🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
Anything is possible. I have been keeping all if my change and I am the guy who doesn't collect to collect. I am positive I will find a coin that will change my life. I just feel it . now the work begins.
Thats my mission I always wanted to find a buried treasure whole time its been in my pocket change..just found my 2nd one
I appreciate so much for your info I am learning so much and I learned that I have a 1977 quarter like just like that one what's my next move it's beautiful it's clean it's you know untainted
Hi, I’m glad, I have 1977. Thank you
I hope there are more. I searched for a quarter with my birth year of 1975, and know there's only counterfeit hope. My sister was born in 1977, so I now have renewed hope. Thank you for this video :-)
I have one I found in a roll of quarters I bought from a friend.

Hello J&B, I'll keep it in mind while searching quarters but I'm not really expecting to find one. It would be awesome. Thanks.
It's not as hard as one might think. When you have a pile of change you have a Lot of chances to find valuable coins.
Love JB Coin family

In the red book I read if anyone want to wash their coin it can be washed with dish soap but rub between fingers and thumb only.
Also was there aluminum penny's in 1982 Denver mint.
Yes, I'll bet there are more. I got some more quarters in change today...going to salivate over...I mean check over the date. LOL

Of course I think there could be more 1977 quarters like this out there. I mean... at one point no one knew this coin existed, right? So that gives me hope. :) Thanks for the info, I’m going to check my quarters now.

Please let ne know
i have this coin
I have the same coin
Hello. My. 77 Quarter has a mint on right ridge of coin. One of a kind
I have one of those quarters I was just looking at it before I watched your video
I think a blank was stuck in a part of the press and was transferred to another mint, then pressed and distributed normally. My guess is that San Fran- has an extra, or the boys in Denver were in a jam- and needed press parts and the swap was made. I’ll look out for this, but I bet it was a one of kind coin
No one is saying if no mint mark is a good coin ?? 1977 no mint mark
Have an odd 2006, P, Quarter that looks like it has part of a different color like bronze or copper mixed in the silver on the front like it's just a glob of copper or bronze that was accidentally dropped and not mixed together with the silver. The side view of the exterior rim ( at the grooves) also reflects a very uneven distribution of the 2 colors as well. How can I see if there is a higher value? Thanks
I think the Mint is filled with people with wicked senses of humor and they do this stuff a lot.
Ya your quarter looks good and watching this clip it hit me I found one just last year never.clean plus's it's just like you explain with that old look but standing out good .want to sell
I think more. I also think it doesn’t matter what the mint Mark says. Thanks J&B
I've always lived by the motto, if there is one, there's more!! What great coverage of this quarter!! Time to do some searching in my 1970D quarters!! Thanks J&B for another great video!! God Bless!!
Thank you for watching! J&B
I have one if these 1977 coins, who can I contact that is liget?
I have one in my hand right now
I recently found one 1977 D quarter in my saving changes
I was going through some of my change and just found 4 1977D quarters
JB Thank you both for all you do! great info... thanks for sharing
Hi have one of those 1977d coins right now
The description says "Improperly cleaned" which implies there is a "Proper" way to clean coins. Which is it?
Right! ♥
That's what I keep saying? I started playing with coins in the mid-60s then got heavier in late 60s that I stopped for a while of course I never clean them then because I wasn't doing that but recently in this decade I started back in coins again for the Last 5 Years questions arise as to what is? On the surface? You know it isn't healthy and if it's an obvious substance are you going to leave it there but I don't do any cleaning according to mainstream methods of somebody that's never played with coins but my question is there's always something on a coin that didn't come with the coin?
they clen them
I’m going through my coins and have two of these. 1977 D
Thanks for the information.
I think holy crud how many 77s have I given back! That's why I'm a horder!
Can paint thinner be used to safely remove something from a rare coin? Some people tell me it won't hurt the coin but others tell me there may be impurities in the paint thinner and it will leave an oily residue on the coin.
Good job brother... I have a 2006 D??? With major damage!! AND 1967 NO M. Stamped,, 3,4 times!! 1990 P. Words are not right. Stay healthy bro. ✌❤🏇🏇🏇
I have a 1977,D quarter just found it it's in good shape a little scrape on outter.edge but over all M.S 63.
I recently have taken up checking my coins and collecting them and have a very clean 1977 D I came across, is their a way I could email you some questions about it?

I have a 1977 D Quarter what the the value and thank you for letting know what right and what to look for and not to do you are awesome thank you..
Hi, i just watch your video and my 1977 quarter dollar coin is exactly like the one on the video.
Hi Shaun...do you have a video in detail on how to have my two 1977D Washington quarters graded ?...it would.
Really help...or any other ideas that you you might have to get them noticed. Thank You Shaun, Jerry
I believe i have one of these 1977 quarters.
I have a 1977 Denver Mint quarter
Hi J&B. I watched your video and I have 4 1977 quarters 3 of them have a D mint mark weighing 5.6 g. Do you think I should get them graded and check its authenticity?
Wow, that’s an amazingly bizarre story. 🤘
Yes there is more 1977 coins out there! You just got to find them around and at the right place and time!
I imagine that there might be more. I find it highly unlikely that only one blank miraculously found its way to that mint. I love finding error varieties.
I have a 1977 coin and the Eagle is upside down on the back of coin .
I have that exact coin
Pm me about it and it's in excellent condition
I have the 1977 D mint George Washington quarter that weighs approximately 5.6 grams on the dot and is extremely good condition
I have the exact same quarter but yet it only weighs 5.4 grams.😩
@@stephenpeace8296 5.4 coins where clad silver
I have 1977 quarter just got last week I just started collecting
I have been in the Denver Mint. On a special tour, we were in the area where coins are struck. As I recall, coins start off as a Ribbon of metal, long enough for several coins to be struck by being fed thru the machine like a fully automatic machine gun. A single coin such as that Silver Quarter would have to have been some type of deliberate act, IMHO.
I found a 1977 D getting change for Landry mat I believe it's part of the other ones Family it weighs 5.51 on scale
They should do this more often....jk
There are more because I have one lol. The D on mine looks exactly like the one in the video.
I got one two
I have a 77washington quarter it weighs 3.5
I got 3
I have one would anyone like to buy it
Good morning sir .., I have a lot of old coins like Lincoln , Roosevelt , and others .

Hello, thank you for the wealth of information. I am new to this. Scrabbling through the little change I do have. I happen to have a 1977(d) coin. Oh yeah🤦♀️i need a scale
