How do I know if my 1964 nickel Jefferson is worth anything?
To determine the coin’s value, look for the following:
• Full Steps - coins that are in perfect condition with no minting defects.
• Uncirculated - nickels with no signs of degradation. They also retain their original features.
• Minting errors - 1964 nickels can have special minting errors, such as re-punched mint marks or missing dates.
In other words, if your nickel has five full steps and unique minting errors, it will be worth much more than the traditional 1964 nickel.

No, the 1964 nickel is made of 75% copper and 25% nickel. The only Jefferson nickels that contain 35% of silver were made between 1942 and 1945.

I just found a broad strike nickel. D mint mark very faded and the words E pluribius; five cents and monticello almost erased but the rest of the words visible. Jefferson’s silhouette in the back the the building in the front barely visible on both faces of the coin. Any thoughts or feedback if this coin is promising? It is circulated but still in good shape, maybe Ms64

It's very difficult to tell from your description without a photo and not knowing the date. Fyi, MS coins are uncirculated. If I had to take a guess, it sounds like you may have a coin struck through grease, but without more info I would hsve no idea if it could be worth getting graded, let alone be worth anything.

We call that post mint damage. The US mint never issued gold colored nickels. What you have is some third party company trying to sell junk to unsuspecting customers.
