Put 2 of these in my bag 2 weeks ago. A 52 & 56 V-MG. Absolutely love them; have really made a positive difference to my chipping & pitching. Also very competitively priced. Different clubs suit different golfers, but anyone thinking of buying new wedges should consider these.
    Thanks for the review, Rick.

I have these in 52, 56 and 60.. black satin too... love em. Great feel from these. have them in the medium grind so they suit most ground conditions. the 60 is spot on around the greens.

Rick your game is looking really well rounded from what I've seen on your latest videos(been watching since 2013). I have a lot of videos to catch up on but keep moving forward and doing YOU, you've always been a natural on camera and your reviews/lessons are among the best there is. Loving the new style of content. Cheers from Texas :)

Great review, I think you sold me on replacing my old cleveland cg12s. These appeal to me, like some of the others, as they don't have anything carved into the back. This is a reason why I am not fussed on the Callaway MD3s.
    Thanks Rick!

I game Cleveland clubs all through my bag (including a designed by Becu napa style putter) built around Cleveland wedges firstly.
I know people think the Ping Eye 2 SW was one of the best clubs ever from a bunker and I agree... but my Cleveland tour action 900 60° BRZ is even better!
The old Cleveland DSG wedges are great too... so versatile. I game a 54° DSG.
I won't upgrade to RTX3 though because I actually like the sweet spot to be nearer the hosel on irons. Especially wedges. I think I'm the only person I know who wish Cleveland had left the sweet spot where it was (nearer the heel than exactly in the centre). But very glad you reviewed these wedges Rick and very glad you enjoyed them. I hope you game them!

Hey Rick, good review, but I heard you mention on another video that the Ping Glide 2.0s were the best feeling wedges. What is your take on the pros and cons between the RTX-3s and the Glide 2.0s, and which comes out on top?

  • @williag1970

Hi Rick, I tried these along with the Vega VW-08 and the Cleveland's feel like you're hitting rocks in comparison. You've got to try them. Special isn't the word, yes expensive but you get what you pay for.

Rick--I'm really stuck on the callaway md3 wedges as the reviews all seem very positive and they look and feel great--haven't yet played them--but these Cleveland wedges sound great as well and at a much better price. Is there really a huge difference? Would the callaway wedges be worth the higher price tag? Why do you play Callaway over Cleveland? Thanks!

I hv been waiting for this Cleveland wedge review. Titleist, TM, Callaway and even Mizuno hv come out with very good wedges but as you said Rick.., hands down on Cleveland wedges. They are the BEST. I am playing 2 yr old Cleveland wedges but it's time to buy all new Cleveland wedges.., 50, 56 & 60. Ok.., time to tell the wife. If I'm not back in a few days.., someone pls call the police.

The RTX-3 wedges are without doubt the finest wedges that I've ever owned/gamed. You simply can not go wrong with these babies. As Rick already mentioned the feel is fantastic and the 2 dot soles (medium bounce) simply work in all turf conditions. Such a fun club. If you haven't already done so do your self a favour and try to demo these wedges.

  • @fishblade2
    @fishblade2 7 років тому

Which of these wedges would you recommend between the titliest vokey, callaway Mack daddy 3 (or forged), and the rtx 3.0 wedges of cleveland and why? Did you feel a difference in the swing weight of the 2.0 version and these? I currently play the 2.0 because of the heavier "feel the weight of the club" swing weight of the cleveland compared to the too light callaway wedges.

  • @mediocregolfer8922

I got this in a 58 F grind mainly due to custom fit options. Got the KBS Tour 90 shaft and 1 degree upright. I always find stock S300 shafts too stiff and heavy for a wedge

I wonder if these wedges and for that matter the SM6 wedges are cast or forged. Normally companies can't wait to tell you how unique their forging process is but there isn't a single word on the Cleveland or Titleist webpages about how these clubs are made. Have they been charging us forged prices all these years for cast clubs...?

Tony Tanti high bounce so when you sweep across the ground and if you hit it it'll bounce up and still have a nice stroke making it a bit more forgiving but that's just my thoughts some may disagree
