I hope that I speak for everyone and say....Thank you so much for your non biased reviews and hard work involved with all the content you put out. Top notch! Thanks .
Put 2 of these in my bag 2 weeks ago. A 52 & 56 V-MG. Absolutely love them; have really made a positive difference to my chipping & pitching. Also very competitively priced. Different clubs suit different golfers, but anyone thinking of buying new wedges should consider these.
Thanks for the review, Rick.
I have these in 52, 56 and 60.. black satin too... love em. Great feel from these. have them in the medium grind so they suit most ground conditions. the 60 is spot on around the greens.
Rick your game is looking really well rounded from what I've seen on your latest videos(been watching since 2013). I have a lot of videos to catch up on but keep moving forward and doing YOU, you've always been a natural on camera and your reviews/lessons are among the best there is. Loving the new style of content. Cheers from Texas :)
Thanks for the great reviews Rick! I game a 56 RTX3 and absolutely love it. Great feel and so much spin!
Great Vid! COuld you possibly do a video comparing different golf balls? In terms of a new Prov1 and comparing it to a very old golf ball, just to show the differences?
I've got 58/54/50 my first ever Cleveland wedges and they sit nice with my Callaway gear brilliant feel great review as always
Thank you for your hard work - very informative and helpful indeed. I'm going straight to the shop for some RTX-3 wedges tomorrow! Cheers and thank you again from Sydney, Oz - Dave :-)
Great review Rick. I couldn't agree more about the awesome feel & spin. I swapped out my SM6 56 & 60 for RTX3s & have been really pleased with the results.
Did you say you had the 2.0 in your bag for a long time... Nearly a year????? HAHAAH... Must be nice.
Great review, I think you sold me on replacing my old cleveland cg12s. These appeal to me, like some of the others, as they don't have anything carved into the back. This is a reason why I am not fussed on the Callaway MD3s.
Thanks Rick!
Put these in my bad 2 weeks ago and love them, great feel and very forgiving
Getting fitted for these this weekend hopefully! Looking forward to trying them on the course! Great review
just got a 54 60 combo in these. also found them highly consistent - more so than the mizuno and vokeys I tested when I was fitted. good review, totally agree.
Rick they are brilliant I've always had Mizuno wedges but love these so much 👍👍
Great video. Could you review the Mizuno T7 wedges? Would be interested to know your thoughts
great review Rick. I was wondering about the changes from 2.0. Thanks much.
I bought one of these today. Happy enough with it after one day.
Rick, got a set myself -- couldn't agree more. I've never hit wedges that feel so soft/solid. I can't imagine switching.
I game Cleveland clubs all through my bag (including a designed by Becu napa style putter) built around Cleveland wedges firstly.
I know people think the Ping Eye 2 SW was one of the best clubs ever from a bunker and I agree... but my Cleveland tour action 900 60° BRZ is even better!
The old Cleveland DSG wedges are great too... so versatile. I game a 54° DSG.
I won't upgrade to RTX3 though because I actually like the sweet spot to be nearer the hosel on irons. Especially wedges. I think I'm the only person I know who wish Cleveland had left the sweet spot where it was (nearer the heel than exactly in the centre). But very glad you reviewed these wedges Rick and very glad you enjoyed them. I hope you game them!
Absolutely love these wedges. Had them for 12 months, late to the party, absolutely brilliant for control and feel. They compliment my ZX5’s well.
Hey Rick, good review, but I heard you mention on another video that the Ping Glide 2.0s were the best feeling wedges. What is your take on the pros and cons between the RTX-3s and the Glide 2.0s, and which comes out on top?
Hi Rick, I tried these along with the Vega VW-08 and the Cleveland's feel like you're hitting rocks in comparison. You've got to try them. Special isn't the word, yes expensive but you get what you pay for.
Good review Rick
Have to agree with you, these wedges look great
Cheers
Rick, did you add the clips of you literally taking notes just in case we didn't believe you?
Well...I believe you now. :) Keep you the good work.
Rick--I'm really stuck on the callaway md3 wedges as the reviews all seem very positive and they look and feel great--haven't yet played them--but these Cleveland wedges sound great as well and at a much better price. Is there really a huge difference? Would the callaway wedges be worth the higher price tag? Why do you play Callaway over Cleveland? Thanks!
they look Amazing , im going to be getting fit for a new set of clubs in a week , im definitely gonna try these out
Hi rick I have these in 50 54 58 degree like you say look and feel great my game has sharpened up inside 100 yard
I hv been waiting for this Cleveland wedge review. Titleist, TM, Callaway and even Mizuno hv come out with very good wedges but as you said Rick.., hands down on Cleveland wedges. They are the BEST. I am playing 2 yr old Cleveland wedges but it's time to buy all new Cleveland wedges.., 50, 56 & 60. Ok.., time to tell the wife. If I'm not back in a few days.., someone pls call the police.
Have 3 of them in the bag now and couldn't be happier with them!
The RTX-3 wedges are without doubt the finest wedges that I've ever owned/gamed. You simply can not go wrong with these babies. As Rick already mentioned the feel is fantastic and the 2 dot soles (medium bounce) simply work in all turf conditions. Such a fun club. If you haven't already done so do your self a favour and try to demo these wedges.
Which of these wedges would you recommend between the titliest vokey, callaway Mack daddy 3 (or forged), and the rtx 3.0 wedges of cleveland and why? Did you feel a difference in the swing weight of the 2.0 version and these? I currently play the 2.0 because of the heavier "feel the weight of the club" swing weight of the cleveland compared to the too light callaway wedges.
I got this in a 58 F grind mainly due to custom fit options. Got the KBS Tour 90 shaft and 1 degree upright. I always find stock S300 shafts too stiff and heavy for a wedge
Hi Rick, just wondering whether you have any advice for myself wanting to improve my handicap whilst i have revision for my mocks and only play about once or twice a week? Thanks if you reply😊
hey Rick big fan of your show. Just wonding are yoy going to d a final conclusion of your wedge series? im unsure what your favorite was. you seemed to like the Cleveland alot but did you prefer the Callaway? You seemed to like the feel and consistency more on the cleveland? plse clarify mate. ive been thinking of getting these Cleveland Wedges is all.
What's the groove durability, generally, between cast and forged wedges? I assume forged are a softer metal that would wear out faster.
Rick do you play stock wedge shafts or do you use the same shafts as your irons, but maybe step down to a softer flex?
Great review
Hey, I was just wondering is the course you were playing at near the Ferrari World theme park? The one tower in the background looked like the Formula Rossa roller coaster.
How would you compare these to the comet sm6 and which would you pick between the two
I’ve got them they feel amazing
Hey Rick, could you please test and review the Mizuno T7 Wedges??!! Would be great. Thanks
Have these in 52,56&60 - wonderful wedges
got these bad boys for xmas!
Hey Rick - on your coming wedge reviews please do Ping Glide 2.0. Especially ES grind. I want a new 60 and am torn between RTX3 and Glide 2.0. Thanks!
over or under 2 weeks before rick has a full set of these in his bag? I also agree with the review that I loved the feel and consistency but the head felt heavy which I was ok with.
And Rick continues on in his journey to find the right wedges 😉Rick, you haven't tried any Wilsons, have you? You're using their irons now,...might as well give them a go.
Those are the exact lofts I bought and they were delivered this morning
I bought the tour raw in 54 and 60 bran new for 65 each off golf bidder 😊 getting delivered next week I’m not the I need a 50 -54-58 guy I only use 2 wedges outside my set 😎... need my trusty 2 iron
Hi rick you should do a test on Wilson Staff wedges
why, only old men play wilson clubs.
chuckypud do you have an issue with old men, son?
Andy putterking lol, Rick plays Wilson irons
rick im not sure if youve seen them zenn balls that are being advertised have you tried them?
what do you mean by open the face? im new to golf and just got this club
Hi Rick, You should make a ranking for your favourite wedges!
Rick, are those little white dots (4 of them) on the club face to help your launch monitor pick up head position at impact?
Yes!
Thanks mate!
Rick please clean out those grooves!!!
Hey Rick: What is that turf mat you are using? Best. Max
Just replaced my vokey sm4's with these, they are slightly softer and cut through the turf well, but honestly a good wedge is a good wedge
Good price too, 2 for £170
As close to a forged feeling wedge I've played considering its cast. Went with the MD forged in the end though.
Rick you're a funny guy, hinting you want a set of wedges is one thing, specifying colours too haha funny guy!
Would you do review on the new Tommy Armour wedges
Just bought 50 and 56 Rick.i found the same fabulous feel compared to rtx2.
I just found one brand new for half price. I know it's an old club but brand new for 70 bucks was a pretty good deal in my area
Love this Brand
Did you review the T7 wedges I hope, Rick?
scoops the ball up with the 60 and keeps the convo going DAMN U RICK! lmaoooooooooo
Isn t the spin on the 60 o a bit low compare to some other?
I got 2 of these wedges today at 50 degrees and 58 degrees
What is the best spinning wedge
Just bought a 54 and 60 in the tour raw bran new for 65 each 😂👍...
I Switched from Vokeys and I don't believe there's a better wedge in the market right now. They feel super soft, have more spin, I hit a little further, look great at address, and the groves seem to be holding up.
I use these wedges and I don't feel like I get enough spin from them around the green
be cool to see the new cobra king pur wedges, suppose to be mnit
hi Rick you should test out the BombTechGolf wedges
Isaac Silversmith I have all three, and I love them. For the price, they are best wedges for the value.
Same! I have them too and they're great
I have them as well, had my first hole out with these wedges. Love them!
I got these in 46/50.. so no W with my new JPX900Tour. I swear these irons are softer off the face than the short JPX900s
Rick what's your favorite brand of golf clubs
Please explain bounce. I just don’t understand why or what.
I wonder if these wedges and for that matter the SM6 wedges are cast or forged. Normally companies can't wait to tell you how unique their forging process is but there isn't a single word on the Cleveland or Titleist webpages about how these clubs are made. Have they been charging us forged prices all these years for cast clubs...?
Michael Pasvantis I thought it was pretty well known Cleveland wedges aren't forged. They have made them in the past but it has been awhile.
I still find it interesting that all their top guys play RTX 2 wedges not 3's. What did you think of the simple grind options and the turf interaction?
Can you do a updated WITB pleeeease!
what bounce you get if your a sweeper
will also depend on the type of climate/courses you play....
Tony Tanti high bounce so when you sweep across the ground and if you hit it it'll bounce up and still have a nice stroke making it a bit more forgiving but that's just my thoughts some may disagree
Tony Tanti no sweeper low bounce digger high bounce
Cornwall1888 why low bounce
ryan kennaley because bounce is designed to prevent digging a sweeper doesn't need as much bounce as a digger
Personally I like mid bounce for the versatility
How is the head of that club symmetrical? XD These reviews are worth watching just for the note taking skills.
You should review mizuno golf balls
cobra king PUR review coming?
You sold me on the JPX 900s, and now you're doing a number on me with these. You should be working at one of the PGA TOUR Superstores! ^_^
What are the white dots for on the face
The rc show so the launch monitor can pick up where the face is at Impact etc
That's right. The dots are for the HMT add-on to the GC2 launch monitor.
Can you do another what's in my bag Rick?
American golf are selling these two for£169 They are £99 separately.
He is lying about the feel! I have these in 48, 54, and 58. I love them sooooooo much
I meant he isn't lying lol
The best of the video was the joke hahaah
why not show the on course testing and talk about how they feel as you test them?
The on-course testing is what he showed in the video. He did that portion at Luminé and wrote down his thoughts to avoid the distraction of having to talk during the video shoot.
and you are?
I am someone who heard his explanation in an earlier video. Rick tested lots of clubs and balls, and I assume it would have taken too much time to add commentary during the tests.
Aw come on rick. Where is that black satin??
do witb please
finchy wouldn't have to putt if he used those
Hi rick goin on your insta story your punching sunshine.
If you stripped out all the repetition, it would be a 4 minute video, not a 9.5 minute one. Truly, it's OK to say something once and know that people will get what you're saying :-)
put in bag!
Why even say yeah there is 700rpm difference in spin. You saw from the data. That 700rpm of spin only resulted in 1 yard extra roll. Basically nothing.
pavandeep sittre "1 yard basically nothing"
why can't I putt out from 1 yard! 😭
Rick send me some old wedges mine got stolen! Oh gawww whyyyy
Gilberto Ayala get a job and buy your own
fsx challenge
BAG IT
its what happend if you dont put 000 in rtx 3000
