This is great. You can apply it to other objects too. The key, as you said, is to put the "tip" as the origin, so using the "set origin to 3d cursor" with the cursor at the location fixes issues with that. Thanks.
That looks awesome man, I love it! Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for uploading the source file to gumroad, I downloaded it!! Yes, I made it to the end!!!!!
why tutorial videos 60fps? i never understand this? you don't need 60fps? this is not 4k 60fps minecraft or gta 5 gameplay yes this is 1 year ago but why?
Not sure if you still need this but if you're getting some kind of weird swirling towards the center, it's because the object origin is set to the center mass of the cylinder by default. To get the same swirling effect as you see in the video, you want to set the origin of the object to where the 3d cursor is.
Still pro after 1 year of uploading this, this helped me, thank you!
Kühl, Ich liebe auch Spiralen. Danke schön ^^
II've been thinking how to do it many time. Thank you Simon. Now I'm gone a try it to do it in GN.🙏👍
Great one, Simon.
