Updated tutorial for 4.2+ ua-cam.com/video/foBllYJwnJ0/v-deo.html Some people asked that the "Min" and "Max" of Proximity Falloff are removed in the newest Presets. Now every falloff is 0-1 range, so you can add "remap 0-1" instead. It's essentially a lite version of Map Range node.
its incredible how i follow every tutorial step by step like crazy, checking every single change and still manage to have different results than then tutorial
things change frequently. Unless there are some fundamental differences, all rest should be manageable with tweaking. If you have doubts, it would be better to show your screenshot in the discord server.
@@bradleyanimation120 yeah. Actually tweaking things looks amazing. Btw you are a HUGE discoverment. Ty for all this content. Helps a lot to better understanding geonodes
I made this recently following your exact settings as much as possible. it seems quite a few things have changed and don't produce this result anymore when proximity fall off is added with the remap range node in blender 4.0. Unfortunate.
The tutorial started with a grid node. you can replace it with any geometry for the shape you want. It can also be done non-procedurally with "object info".
G_Proximity Falloff is different from yours. There are no parameters as "Max Dist", "Min", "Max" anymore. Playing with other options does not help. Could you explain how to get similar results with the new version of this node?
The file has two text files and two blend files. How would I get these nodes into blender? I've downloaded them so far, just not sure how to bring them into blender. Thanks!
@@bradleyanimation120 Discord won't let me get past the captcha for some reason. Every time I solve a captcha it just gives me another one. I figured out how to make whated I wanted with the grid though. The cylinder had two whirlpool effects. One going down along the z-axis like the grid does presumably from the bottom of the cylinder and a mirror image of it going up along the z-axis most likely from the top of the cylinder.
sorry I am not sure what you mean. If you mean the preset you can download it for free from the link in the description. Or else it would be better if you can ask at: discord.gg/TzuN6sPxQU

This is literally the most clutch video ever
Love your method of explaining each step!!!! Great tutorials! I'm gonna try to share this to maximum people I can!
Wow, thank you for showing your workflow in so much detail. Love geo nodes, but am still at the beginning process of learning the in's and out's.
Thank you for your speedy response (:
My G_Proximity falloff node doesn't work, it's very different from yours
There are some improvements and additional features, other than those it's working for me
another mind blowing tutorial ty ❣
underrated channel
i've only recently had the courage to try out shader nodes. then i saw this video and i saw a god! it's incredibly impressive to me. scary too haha
this was great thank you! is there a way to have several whirlpools on the same plane?
Thank you for the tutorial, the presets and subscribed.
You are awesome. Thank-you so much for making your tutorials. I love them

Thanks a lot for this video. It's great!💛
very helpful tutorial!! but how to change it to a circle like in the preview?

UPD. It worked when I unchecked the "Degrees/radians"
min and max are removed. Now all falloffs are between 0-1 range. To change it, you can use a "map range" or "remap 0-1"
Omg this is cool !
nice. Thanks

How would I get these nodes into blender?
I've downloaded them so far, just not sure how to bring them into blender.
Thanks!
you can "append"/"node link" the preset file. However, It's always recommended to download the addon instead of blender files.
Thanks for your nice video! But material shader editor doesn't work after this. How can I put some meterial or color on this object?
add "set material" node in your geometry node tree
@@bradleyanimation120 It worked!!! Thank you!!😂
@@bradleyanimation120 still doesn't work tbh
Edit: on volumetric
@@SnaMProd Working for me. It would be better if you can show your setup in the discord server.
thank you!
It's crazy.
nice tut! but how do you make it circle like in the preview?
start with a cylinder with height of 0 instead of a grid, etc.
@@bradleyanimation120 When I tried that the whirlpool goes both up and down. Is there a way to fix that?
@@infotoons212 I've no idea what you mean. please share your screenshot in the discord server or else there's no way I can know your issue.

how can i put the G_PROXIMITY, COMBINE, NOISE ET?' . BECAUSE BLENDER DON´T HAVE THEM

Can this procedure be used to create a Stargate wormhole?
not sure the exact reference you are looking at. but if it's a vortex you may try.
what group is the displacement in as i cant find it?

If you add another object, can it get sucked into the whirlpool?
if you have to add such a function separately, it will be possible
@@bradleyanimation120 how would i add that function?
@@galaxysquad8015 just use the parameter driving the vortex to drive the object.
@@bradleyanimation120 thank you so much!! Great tutorial
how can i put the color it?
"set material" node and shader nodes.
@@bradleyanimation120 there is a video where you explain this it?
it's just one node or some basic steps. I guess google will do the work.
