If someone is viewed as difficult during the dating phase, one would be foolish to escalate that relationship to a marriage. Difficult in mens eyes is equal to abusive in women's eyes. Men want cooperative women, the same way women detest controlling men. @lilatalks

Yes! Thank you for your comment and I completely agree. The comparison was great. It just seems in our current era women and men are more divisive. In my opinion, until people reach a certain maturity or self assurance level, they don’t elevate their thinking this way. Do you agree? Or what’s going on with the current phenomenon between men & women these days?

I did some research to properly articulate my response. I believe men above 35 are angry because we feel that we have been displaced in society. Meaning, the rhings that we were thought to develop as young men in order to attract women no longer have the same value because women now possess those same traits. This happens to soldiers after the war is over. The skills needed to win a war does not allow them to function in society during time of peace. To address the divisiveness.. I think emotional intelligence is needed and men can use some compassion and understanding from our women. Tbh your t-shirt is quite divisive if what i postulated is true. Here is a test.. change the word "feminist" to "white"... see how offensive that is?

Interesting, well (1) I Vee much agree with your assessment of men feeling out of place in the current world. My older co-worker pointed this observation to me. (2) I find it interesting you find the t-shirt divisive and comparing it to me having a shirt saying white. Would you feel the same way if I had a shirt saying the future is black? Black and Women are two groups that are the most marginalized and oppressed groups in the world, so the comparison of me having a shirt with the word the future is white isn’t a fair comparison given the white race has the highest social power in the world, and following behind is the male gender. Yes, anytime a group that tends to be more oppressed than others makes statements that feels empowering to them the other groups find it divisive, such as statements and songs about black power. Would you compare those to white power as well? Thank you for your thoughtful conversation. I think more dialogue and seeking understanding from all groups is important for our human race to evolve towards peace and love.

People are difficult to a certain degree. Women put certain walls up as protection from past trauma just like men use a repel shield to stay on guard.

A "difficult woman" usually means that she wants to compromise everything that YOU want to do but never want to compromise her ideas. Example. A man says that he wants to take a weekend vacation to...Niagara Falls. Instead of saying OK. She says that they should go to...Dallas instead. Or if he wants Chinese food and she wants Mexican instead. It's not just one thing. BUT if she suggests something she gets offended if he gives another idea along the same topic. It's a compilation of a lot of small things. Eating Chinese is his "program". It's not his life goals. A man doesn't want to debate and compromise everything in his life.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I agree with you. The examples you gave would constitute as difficult in my eyes. Anyone that is described as difficult will not be flexible and they will typically be selfish of their own needs over others, to your point preferences that they want, their way or the highway. However, the friend that was describing the situation to me made it sound like the “difficult woman” just had higher standards for her man, but the non-difficult woman let her boyfriend go out all the time, stay out late all the time and he just did whatever he wanted so I think there’s a balance to accommodating each other’s needs in a relationship.

@@LilaTalks Maybe they were better off apart if she felt like she had "mothering powers" over a grown man. And he lacked respect for her wishes. The 20 year old won't last long either.

A difficult woman to me is overly argumentative and seemingly consciously turns casual conversation toward a contentious topic. For no reason.
Very different than a woman who is leading with boundaries from past experiences, I respect that.
But women who are fretful and quarrelsome, I’d rather be in the desert.

Hi Lila, I grew up in the DMV area and went to the university of Maryland. Why do Ethiopians eat raw meat? I have eaten a lot of Ethiopian restaurants in DC and still don't understand why eating raw meat is a delicacy. Love your channel. Elvis

I think at the end of the day the Man got the Woman he wanted to be honest. That’s all that matters to a Man. Rather he is a player or not. If a Man is looking for a certain type of Woman and if he is dating a Woman, like in the example you shared and she is not acting like or he does not feel like he will be comfortable continuing to date a woman like the woman in your example, then he can simply go find someone else that fits what he’s looking for. Notice how he found a younger more submissive woman. She’s white but I’ve seen men do this with black women as well. Men can do this but Woman cannot do this for the most part. A woman being a surgeon or having a degree or working and making a lot of woman just simply doesn’t matter to Man. He’s looking for what HE wants. Woman have certain standards they want, which can very unrealistic in the grand scheme of things, but what they want is not contested or challenged by other woman enough, which I find to be interesting. The guy in your example from what I can tell wanted a younger (not older and set in her ways and career focused) more submissive woman that will make him feel like a man and be a man in the relationship. It doesn’t always equate to him “being a player.” I also noticed you mentioned “you” think “she is beautiful, smart career focused and fun.” But your a woman thinking from a woman’s perspective, not from the man’s perspective. What men want is very simple. They want feminine, submissive, non masculine, wise woman that are willing to serve their man and respect their men. If they are willing to do this, and the man is a good man, then he will have no problem taking care of his woman, respecting his woman, protecting his woman, loving his woman and supporting his woman. But this is all based on if the woman wants a traditional relationship or a new age we are equal in our roles and I am woman hear me roar relationship. These woman either end up with a weaker man or yes men or alone for the most part. This is because they want a traditional relationship but don’t want to play their traditional roles in that relationship, but want a man to play his role in a traditional relationship while they follow un traditional ideology. That’s like oil and water trying to be together. It just doesn’t work. Haha.

Wow!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You really hit the mail on the head with your comments. I appreciate you taking the r time to share this very accurate depiction of the world we live in related to gender roles in relationships. Although I feel many of the things you mentioned are true, doesn’t necessarily make it “right or fair”. I am not a man, but talking to many men about this topic they do want submissive wives that feed their ego and any insecurities. I agree that the more “successful” a woman is the more harm it is for her in romantic romantic relationships. Isn’t that sad? If you have daughters and you want them to be educated, do well in their career, be financially independent so they can make good choices about their romantic partners, why is that not rewarded, why is that seen as unattractive?

@@LilaTalks because it is a lye to black women and in the beginning black women and men never had those issues of rights we had our respective roles in the family. Now the issue of choice was an issue that white women had and it spilled over to our community. Also the f movement was about making women consumers ie cosmopolitan magazine.

@@LilaTalks today's feminist movement is about the an agenda of the LGBT, and the hating of men and castration of young boys from being men in the West. When black men have to wear dresses like young jock the rapper and others in order to stay relevant that's an issue. Feminist movement makes being masculine or having masculinity a crime and let me not start on the dating seen. I myself am not dating anyone in the US at the moment because I'm looking for a more traditional woman with roots like yours and mine in Trinidad and Tobago where my mom and dad are from.

But you also have to bare accountability for those choices and that is not what is going on here. It's is why we have the passport movement and are traveling to find wives in Ethiopia Kenya Eritrea, Uganda and so on.
