I have a friend who used to work in Ethiopia, he told us an interesting story that he saw a beggar at one the Addis Ababa streets and had compassion on him, so he gave him some money. The beggar thanked him but also prayed and asked God to forgive him for taking money from a black man. Having stayed in Ethiopia for a long time, he understood the language. He felt offended that the person he helped had that opinion of black people but also connected the dots of the several incidents that showed that they had light-skinned supremacy (Considered themselves white) and felt that they were not Africans. It's only starting to change because in USA all non Caucasian Africans are Black in US.
