Dude nice candles. Pretty creative. ALSO ! Wanted to say thanks man. It is actually your channel that got my wife to understand that guns aint "bad". You rock my dude !!!!
Matt: be careful with that Colt. They had a hammer-firing pin fault that could cause accidental fire if the gun was struck hard enough, even with the safety on. Colt recalled it in the early 1980s, but my Dad's never went back - and it bit him on the leg when he hit it with something in the shop. Thankfully not a bad injury, could have been much worse. Keep that one empty to keep it safe!

When my grandma was working as a DJ back in the 60s, the town she worked in started to get noticeably rougher. As I recall, she sewed 8 ounces of lead shot into the bottom of her purse, and carried a little. 25 ACP in her brassier. (My grandfather made her a holster.) It's a little disturbing for a kid to hear his grandma say that the sight of her boob would have been more lethal than the pistol. @@mwm302 funny thing is that growing up, I never knew she did DJ work at WICA in Ashtabula (before it was WREO), just that she worked up there. The guy who tried to steal her purse had watched her coming out of the bank after cashing her paycheck. He ran up and tried to grab it, she saw him and jerked it away in time, wound up and "swung for the cheap seats."
I actually love the pocket guns. It's my favorite gun genre. Just wish we had all the options that were available in the past. Seems to be a new market opening up, so hopefully we'll see some more in the future. Always wondered why they lost favor (only to come back in recent years).
A .25 ACP pocket pistol is the most dangerous thing you can carry. Because if you carry it, there's a chance it might go off and hit someone. And if they notice, they're going to be awfully mad.
@@100nitrog2 You mean this model, or all .25ACP pocket pistols? That's pretty much true for any pocket gun in single action only... but they're still safe if you keep the safety on and don't fidget with it or put it in a pocket with keys and other items. It should only ever be in a pocket by itself. Otherwise, there's nothing more dangerous about them than other guns, especially if you keep them in a holster like you're supposed to. They don't just go off without the trigger being pulled.
@@100nitrog2 Just watched a video last week where a man had a pocket pistol that went off and he just pretended he didn't know what happened. I think it was in a donut shop like Dunkin Donuts or something like that. Surprised they didn't call the police (and glad no one was hurt).

My Mother in law carried this Colt 25 auto back in the 1960s, and she had no permit to carry. She fended off 2 attackers with the pistol. I now have it in my collection. I bought about 1500 rounds of ammo when it could be found on the cheap. Very fun to plink around with.
Both of these guns are based off of the "Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket" or the earlier "FN Model 1906", both designed by John Moses Browning. Later these were known as "Baby Brownings"

I got my wife a Beretta Tomcat in 25 ACP. It had one of those flip up barrels and about the same size as these. It actually ran pretty well. Once it was broken in and we found some reliable ammo to feed it, I don't believe we had any more issues with it. Funny the best running ammo we found was the Glaser Safety Slug. It was supposed to be a low powered round that basically disintegrated upon impact into a thousand pieces. Problem with the Kolibri is that they only made like 100 or so of them, and they (and probably most of the ammo for them) are over 100 years old. Even if he found one of the few that still exist, it would have to be for sale, and he'd probably be looking at well over $10000 to buy it, or maybe even well over that.
My grandpa carried that exact pistol in his back pocket for most if not all of my life. When we would kill one of our hogs to start processing he would call up one of the hogs by name and stick that little thing right against the head between the eyes and drop them lol. Then while their heart was still pumping we would quickly price the heart to pump all of the blood out of the body. Ahhh memories.
@@mattedious9378 lol! It only sounds that way to a modern audience I'm sure but I can understand why. For me it was just a way of life. Our livestock were our means of survival. I also grew up running traps in the mountains and selling the pelts. Hearing all of that you'd think I'm an old man but I'm only 40 🤣
Go for penetration with the fmjs if your using a 25acp. Sadly, all the guns designed for them seem to have a super short barrel which makes it quite low in velocity.
That Colt goes pretty good! Love that Spanish one. Quite impressed with the FMJ penetration but the HP would be a nasty wound. I’ll never think of the .25ACP quite the same way after seeing this. Sufficiently lethal. 👍🏻
I carry baby browning 25acp in front pocket as a reload/second gun when carrying j frame revolvers like my Smith and Wesson model 36.7 rounds of 25 ACP on deck is faster than most reloads especially with wheel guns.Would never advise the 25 for carry unless for a second gun.
Our everyday is a Jetfire, as seniors lugging a bigger, heavier firearm became a chore...it is more capable than our NAA, and we work hard at avoiding Hollywood style gunfights...our most likely scenario along the lines of Wal-Mart parking lot, and the .25 on us definitely beats the .45 in our safe...
@JohnPublic-dk7zd I'm really glad you are in touch with yourself enough to know your limitations. Most people really don't like admitting theirs, even to themselves. We all have them though, and we will all have more and more as we go, until we are ultimately completely limited by the inevitable. We don't need to prove ourselves, we need to survive what is thrown at us.
Got rid of all my .25 pistols years ago. Wish I still kept one. Great reliable little pocket guns. Carried one for years( My Beretta 20).They have been replaced by .32 Tomcat and an LCP .380. .25 ammo became so expensive.
I own one of these, and it is mint, in the original Colt factory box, with the manual and tissue paper! I just looked at it again.I don't think it's ever been fired. It was my late Mother-in law's. Up close, this would easily be a lethal round. For actual self-defense carry, no. But if you were grappling with someone, or a hitman... nice fireball from that little gun! Thanks for the review!
I LOVE my little Italian .25acp too. My late 👵Granny kept it in her bedside/nightstand drawer for as long as I can remember. It goes every/anywhere with me. Can even CC in SWEAT PANTS no problem. 😂
Tiny & cute isn't always good. When I was a kid in Northern Ireland during the Troubles my best friend found his Policeman Uncle's personal protection weapon at his house. It was a Walther PPK chambered in .22LR. He thought it was a toy and shot himself in the head. He died. Keep that little gun well out of your kids' reach. I know they've grown up around guns, but better be safe than sorry. Keep up the good work. Really enjoy Demo Ranch & Off The Ranch. Merry Christmas from across the pond.
As someone who has seen a ton of those little 25 garbage bricks, that line "They both jammed" had me laughing so hard so long. You just better pray you never have to use your backups backups backup.
Last year I bought a colt .25 like you have I found out it was involved in a recall. Interesting for a gun that's around fifty years old. I called colt and gave them the serial number they said the gun I own was never returned for recall they sent me a shipping label I returned the gun to colt and got it back ina few weeks stating they had done the repair and test fired the gun. The recall was about the gun could be dropped and could possibly would fire. They never tell you what was done to the gun. I assume they put in a heavier firing pin spring don't know the gun works perfectly no feeding problems and is extremely accurate. Quite an experience for a gun this age.
i have the older model of that gun. looked up the serial # and it was made around 1910. was my great grandfather's boot gun. he was the chief of police in charleston WVa back in the teens for many years. i have shot it many many times since i got it 20 years ago. never a single jam or misfire. do not recall the ammo used but i usually by the cheap stuff for shooting and have the good stuff in my carry. anyway, it makes my lcp 380 look big though it weighs 50% more.
I'm in my 40s..... Late 40s. (From Texas👍😊👍).... I still remember the first pistol I ever bought, and looking back, acquiring it.....(even back then, but now)?was so sketchy..... 100 bucks, with a fitted tiny little leather holster. Beretta 25 ACP jet fire...... I wish I still had it. It was taken away, during a traffic stop, and the police just let me go. Still got a ticket. Never heard another word about it, and I never asked. That was a different time....
We understand your loss...our Jetfire is our EDC...we paid a little more than we should have, but recognized the gun as a solution...we got about 20 years on you, and being so senior can only advise put the gun on your wishlist, you never know when you might come across one...
Have several handguns. In comparison to the rest of my guns, my pistols are the lowest ammount of guns I own. 4 to be exact. I have two 38 Smith and Wesson revolvers, a taurus 380, and a titan 25 Caliber. I usually carry my model 60 38 special or my 4 inch barreled 38, but when I conceal carry, I put my 25 in my pocket. Nobody is getting in line to test out its power, lol.
Exactly right...small bullets are still bullets, and people want to avoid them...we carry a Jetfire, and as long as we can stay away from Hollywood style gunfights we'll be fine...
Still a very deadly round. I lost my dad when I was 2 due to a gunshot wound to the head from a 25 auto maybe TMI but thought it should be known even though it’s a tiny tiny round it can still do major damage
@5:09 Be careful shooting like that Matt. I know I guy who shot his own hand doing that same thing. It's much safer to keep both pistols extended at all times when shooting.
Jokes aside, that Montage should show you just how well those guns filled the role they were intended to. Matt was able to hid that little thing pretty much anywhere
A Jetfire is our current EDC...being ON us beats the .38s we had begun to leave at home...as seniors small and light, with less recoil to boot, makes an attractive EDC...
For anyone curious: The music that starts at 4:20 is "Dead Bells" by Heyson. May the Shazam app be praised for telling me! I've been blasting that piece on repeat the whole afternoon and it really made my otherwise very rainy day!
Scott really has made Christmas a ancient Roman Holiday 1:35 Also James Bond originally used a Beretta .25 ACP. In the beginning of Dr NO, M forces him to trade up for the Walther
I have an Astra cub 22short the 2002 engraved one and I was having the same issues with rounds not feeding . Found that since it wasn’t used in a long time the extractor was getting stuck put some rust dissolver on it since when I got it there was light rust on parts, but I just kept clicking it up and down as if it was in motion let it sit for 20 minutes and sprayed it with wd40 and cleaned it up good, now it’s running good. Most problems with older little pistols is they don’t get shot often so the little parts and stuff end up getting stuck, but nothing a good deep cleaning won’t solve! (Shoot your guns more often)
4:56 I see the reference to Boondock Saints here. That was a Willem Dafoe recreation! Watched it in theaters before Reedus became a star. Sean Flannery was also good.
And just like that Matt uses 20% of the 25 ACP ammo in existence

When we would kill one of our hogs to start processing he would call up one of the hogs by name and stick that little thing right against the head between the eyes and drop them lol. Then while their heart was still pumping we would quickly price the heart to pump all of the blood out of the body. Ahhh memories.
Holy shit bro why does this sound traumatizing
Wtf cool but still 💀
@@mattedious9378 lol! It only sounds that way to a modern audience I'm sure but I can understand why. For me it was just a way of life. Our livestock were our means of survival. I also grew up running traps in the mountains and selling the pelts. Hearing all of that you'd think I'm an old man but I'm only 40 🤣
@@Dingusdankus13 ay I’ve been hunting bro I agree.
@@ZeeroDubs haha I understand, I was just stating something others would find traumatizing in a jokingly way.
When I was 19 I bought my first pistol it was a p32 keltec, it was and still is one of my favorite guns I miss that little 32.
Go for penetration with the fmjs if your using a 25acp. Sadly, all the guns designed for them seem to have a super short barrel which makes it quite low in velocity.
First you can hand load to faster velocities. You can also now get a 50 fmj round from Buffalo Bore that will hit 850 fps from this pistol.
duel 25's as your everyday carry! one for each boot.
Endless stuff … I’m super choked by the amount of STUFF ….COLLECTED ON UTUBE …. bless this channel ….
We love you man. You're awesome.
Thanks for watching, you've been select among my lucky winners for the ongoing giveaway, kindly message me for more information
I tried the Kolibri before it doesn't do alot of damage but it is pretty funny in my hand
Well it's like grand pappy used to say " when a man has a bullet in him, no matter how small that bullet is his priorities instantly change" .
That is a hard-core pistol!
Thanks for watching & congratulations you have been selected for my end of year giveaway, kindly message for more information
Is that a 25 ACP in your pocket, or are you just happy to see us?
Both
Which pocket?
Just semi-happy. hahaha !!
That tiny chrome Spanish jobbie is the same as the one used in ' murder on the orient express'
I hope you enjoyed the video..🙏 message me for a package.....🆗
That Colt goes pretty good! Love that Spanish one. Quite impressed with the FMJ penetration but the HP would be a nasty wound. I’ll never think of the .25ACP quite the same way after seeing this. Sufficiently lethal. 👍🏻
Honestly I'd love one of those tiny .25 guns as a backup. Or when I can't conceal something bigger as easily.
This is definitely one of your coolest videos and best ideas yet
The broke back mountain joke made both me and my GF slowly look over at each other and go "that was unnecessary" and then laugh.
I swear if there aren't Torso candles for sale at Bunker Branding I'm gonna lose it.
Same. Matt just raised the bar for ballistic dummy labs lol
Got rid of all my .25 pistols years ago. Wish I still kept one. Great reliable little pocket guns. Carried one for years( My Beretta 20).They have been replaced by .32 Tomcat and an LCP .380. .25 ammo became so expensive.
Have a .25 Colt just like yours, bought it new in 1968. Mine works slick, has never failed.
I bet it has a good personality
I own one of these, and it is mint, in the original Colt factory box, with the manual and tissue paper! I just looked at it again.I don't think it's ever been fired. It was my late Mother-in law's. Up close, this would easily be a lethal round. For actual self-defense carry, no. But if you were grappling with someone, or a hitman... nice fireball from that little gun! Thanks for the review!
I always wanted a colt jr I atlesst have a really mint condition baby browning 25 I love mouse guns
I have one with the original box too. Comes with the warranty card too
I LOVE my little Italian .25acp too. My late 👵Granny kept it in her bedside/nightstand drawer for as long as I can remember. It goes every/anywhere with me. Can even CC in SWEAT PANTS no problem. 😂
(Really good) 😊 message me now for a surprise package....📦
I'd really like to see a video of you cleaning up some of the stuff you shoot 😅
Actually, the ring guns last year are still the tiniest lol. Love your videos Matt, keep going strong
When Mat showed the 9mm sand viper I was like damn that’s cleans and I looked it up and I was like damn Mat you’re a baller😂
"It's a nice gun, I'll give you that. But engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever." If you get that reference, we can be friends.
When they see the gold damascene they freeze up in awe.
Kept you waiting huh?
I have the Astra Cub in .22 Short. I use it for poking vent holes in 55-gallon drum burn barrels. Fun little piece.
First gun I ever shot. That was 55 years ago.
the tiniest guns is still lethal.
As someone who has seen a ton of those little 25 garbage bricks, that line "They both jammed" had me laughing so hard so long. You just better pray you never have to use your backups backups backup.
Spoken like a guy who doesn't have a backup for his backups backups backup. Sheesh.
Nothing can compare to my Raven 25acp. It has never jammed on me!!!
Anyone else wanna make a petition for Mere to do one of these videos on her own? (No literally but for her to be the guest)
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife.
What he said ^^^^
@@M.C.1903 huh? What are you talking about? I don’t covet her, but she’s never in any videos
I want to see a mini suppressor in it 😂
no no no, a huge one, hilarity lol
They are called “Junior Colts”. I have a Colt “Junior Colt” in .22 SHORT. It is ungodly loud and is guaranteed to hit anything you aim at within 6”.
Jesus Loves You! ❤️🙏
Shooting two 25ACP pistols at the same time! You stud 😂😂😂. Beautiful Colt! Thanks for the video
You know "Crispy" is a World Champion powerlifter, right?? I was there when he won with Flip Silva & his wife and girlfriend at the time. Great people
i have the older model of that gun. looked up the serial # and it was made around 1910. was my great grandfather's boot gun. he was the chief of police in charleston WVa back in the teens for many years. i have shot it many many times since i got it 20 years ago. never a single jam or misfire. do not recall the ammo used but i usually by the cheap stuff for shooting and have the good stuff in my carry. anyway, it makes my lcp 380 look big though it weighs 50% more.
Marzia is a legend
Whoa! You blew that candle's lung completely out of its body!
Still a very deadly round. I lost my dad when I was 2 due to a gunshot wound to the head from a 25 auto maybe TMI but thought it should be known even though it’s a tiny tiny round it can still do major damage
You should try a .32 acp seecamp beautiful machining and with a history!
Our mom's Colt .25 is still in our family. I found a .22 Colt very similar to it. True pew pews!
@5:09 Be careful shooting like that Matt. I know I guy who shot his own hand doing that same thing. It's much safer to keep both pistols extended at all times when shooting.
The size is not important, as long as you know how to use it
Up here in Canada. Enjoy living vicariously through your take no prisoners firearms tests. Also like your Veterinary shows . ☺
Jokes aside, that Montage should show you just how well those guns filled the role they were intended to. Matt was able to hid that little thing pretty much anywhere
Purchased one of these a few weeks ago, Colt Model 1908. lucky enough to find a '1910.
Hahahaha, I love little pocket rockets like this xD. Reminds me of the Beretta 21A, Bobcat, Tomcat, Jetfire, etc.
Normal back garden: *clean*

Scott really has made Christmas a ancient Roman Holiday 1:35
Also James Bond originally used a Beretta .25 ACP. In the beginning of Dr NO, M forces him to trade up for the Walther
"Like a brick through a plate glass window"
I imagine that there's a Costco executive that wonders "why is Texas our number one seller of folding tables?"
Loved the boondock saints reference. in the shooting sequence.
Way back in 1988 in Rye Playland New York I remember buying a plastic water gun
The same resemblance of this little Colt 25 acp model🤭😊
13 christmas videos in a row??? this is the second video ive seen in 2 weeks time from you....i think YT is playing games with your channel!!!
(Shoot your guns more often)
this seems to be a colt 1908 vest pocket
Bro was destroying humanity at the start💀😭
4:56 I see the reference to Boondock Saints here. That was a Willem Dafoe recreation! Watched it in theaters before Reedus became a star. Sean Flannery was also good.
