      There was a huge dip in gun prices right in the middle of Trumps term. It actually made sense to go to gunshows. You could buy or build good ar's for less than 500. Getting a 450-500 AK was doible too. Now every schmo will tell you they 'know what they got'.

      @@selfhelp69 They have been waiting for this and there's almost no chance McConnell won't invoke a nuclear option on these bills. Also, the current divide within the Democratic party might be too much to pass this legislation. All of the current Democratic sitting Congresspersons ran their entire campaign on "anti-Trump". The only unification in the Democratic party is that they all hate Trump. Now that he's gone, the divide will become even more evident over the next 2 years. With that being said, if they can't pass any major legislation, a lot of them will be voted out in the midterms. I'd give it 5-10 years until gun owners need to seriously worry about their rights being taken away. But for now, I think we're fine.

    That .25 is an Astra 200 (Firecat) produced by Unceta y Compania after 1926 when Juan Esperanza left the company. (Originally Esperanza y Unceta) it is a clone of the FN Model 1905 designed by John Browning.
    There were a few variations throughout the years so if you have to order any parts, make sure it’s for the right version.
    My granddad had the 1924 hope version of that gun. He used as a boot gun in WWII when stationed in the Philippines.
    A very simple to maintain gun. Easy to beak down. Just lock the slide back, turn the barrel CW about 1/4 a turn and it comes right out. Release the slide catch and the slide comes right off.
    I love that little gun. It may not be powerful but it does the job at close range and is real fun to shoot!

    • @keithm5378
      @keithm5378 6 років тому +7

      .25 ACP is a niche caliber nowadays, for sure. But, you can get some truly tiny guns that are almost invisible and weightless. Throw it in a back pocket when you're too lazy to carry a larger gun, or for a backup boot ankle gun? It does that very well. Lots of people have been killed with .25 and .32 pocket pistols over the years and it sure as hell beats a knife of the same size. The one thing it does have going for it is the fact it's centerfire and is far more reliable with a slightly bigger punch than the same gun in .22LR since it was made for short barrels.
      Me? I wouldn't carry .25 Auto. Personally my bare minimum is .32 ACP because the guns chambered in .32 aren't much, if at all, larger than those chambered in .25 and you gain double the kinetic energy while retaining the tiny size and low recoil. But at the end of the day, a gun in .25 Auto is a still weapon that shoots a projectile at a high velocity and is fully capable of making sure you are very dead, I wouldn't sneeze at one if it was pointed my way and was being asked to hand over my wallet or keys.
