"Hey, I'm a girl."
"Helloooooo, wasn't too bad that you dove their nexus fountain at lvl 1 and 2 and 3. Would you marry me? "

@MegaProudAlbanian some people don't realize that from a business perspective the only thing a player or an athlete really brings is how they affect the brand. Your org or sponsor doesn't directly care about your wins or performances, instead they care about how those wins bring attention to you and them, and beyond that they care about how you represent their brand. So it's not surprising that it doesn't take much to get fired. You're not bringing anything else, so if you hurt the brand, you're out.
I think quite some (e-)sports professionals don't understand what they're being paid for.
Yes, they need to be good at the game but ultimately the org will make money off them if the team and its players are popular. This comes down to being good at the game but also being likable.
If you're not likable then you should at least be quiet so that people can cheer you on for your skills.

you're not wrong. Pro Players are assets and League struggles to have player recognition to the level it used to. He loses his shit (evidently) because of a misplay and types realistically a C tier rage in /all. However, The flame is against someone who is by default a more valuable asset for profit. @@FaacuuSM exactly, I play in the tr server for the past 2 years and I usually use proper punctuation and say "wp", "mb", "nt" often but all these lead to the question "are you a girl" purely because I'm nice in chat, and regardless of my answer, my "teammates" announce that there is a girl in their team and I either get camped for the rest of the game (I play adc) or I get spoonfed kills as everyone suicides to me. :(

As someone who played with him right before he went to MS i´m very disappointed.
I understand he´s a 17 old kid who doesn´t know better which is why i wasted a lot of my time with him in 1 on 1 conversations to try and put him on the correct path with his mentality and actions.
It´s sad for me who put so much effort into helping him to see that he´s now even worst than when we stopped being teammates.
I felt like his father / therapist when we were teammates, always trying to help him and giving him advise since I already had many years of competitive exp
and in a weird way I feel like I failed as a "parent" looking at this.
I know it´s not my fault but it´s sad to see all the effort I put in to help was not enough

Yeah as a female player, it's pretty common for us to still get targetted on our gender despite how there are more female gamers more than ever. I've had to change my username just to avoid people from making remarks just on the fact that I'm a female and equate that to bad play (when I can safely say I play much better than most on my team lol). It's good to see action being taken against this, but sadly doesn't happen enough for the common female player
my username used to be Art3miss and I got called out as a girl too many times for it, and now it is a male mythological character's name even though I liked Art3miss more

For example, my username was literally just my name, which is Sylva, and I thought it was cool to have my name that wasn't taken, and it doesn't give off any "girly vibes", but I had to give that up in order for people to stop harrassing me for being a female. I think this also comes down to a bigger issue of flaming in general, just don't flame, it's not that hard to stop yourself from typing into the chat. Why is everyone so used to flaming, that just seems so toxic and not fun at all.
I think its an outlet, a lot of people (including me tho im not proud of it) get emotional over league and need to vent and the chat is right there, i personally turned it off since i have a hard time NOT flaming. I also aftribute it to the content creators, toxic streamers are very popular atm and they help normalize shit like this and make it common.
Some people really get into the game and treat it do seriously like a life and death situation when it's honestly just a game.
Even if it is meant to be played with individual skill and cooperation with your teammates.

This does not "broaden the differences" unless you're sexist yourself and think that somehow men are just as underprivileged as women and that men somehow get just as much shit as women do - they absolutely don't and basic statistics prove this in just about every country. Women face far more scrutiny in every aspect of their life, just look at the modelling industry for an example. Women are set up to fail from the moment they are young girls, fuck even 90% of rape victims are women (rainn.org). 90%! That is a huge, HUGE inequality on its own and that's just one of the many injustices and one of the many ways women are harmed daily.
So really, what do you mean by "broaden the differences"? If anything is happening regarding differences, this is bringing light to the fact that there is a massive difference between men and women that needs to change. We've kind of been trying to point this out for decades and many men and even some women are just ignoring it.
Try to be one of the guys who listen and realize there's a problem - that society is inherently cruel and disgusting in so many aspects - then you'll realize that it's much better to ally with people who are treated terribly for no reason than be against them just because you want to play devil's advocate for a shitty person who's going to continue being shitty for likely the rest of his life.

I absolutly agree that the initial Punishment was to hard, for what happend up to that point. But after he doubled down on his behavior multiple times, insulting basically everyone who disagrees with him, and faking an apology.... It became much more justified in hindsight for me.
