She isn't wrong there though. Most of the big gamer gate channels on UA-cam turned into far right up to neo n*zi channels over time. Sure, not all their viewers and people who followed that stuff were radicalised by it, but a not insignificant number of people (mainly guys) were.
There is a documented alt right pipeline on UA-cam that started with anti-SJW compliations and then over gamer gate discourse that turned into just criticising basically any inclusion of non white/ non male characters in games up to great replacement rhetoric. It was for many who are far right now, or were for a time, an entry point into that.
It's literally an empirical fact. We're far enough out at this point to have multiple sociological research projects on the post mortem.

I loved when she left League and never cared a second about her afterwards, but I'm surprisingly happy to hear she's not doing well elsewhere, she really is a black hole of bad vibes that never understood gaming and clearly showcased that here.
TBF at least give her some credit. She may have suffered mental damage from associating with xxx movement on twitter too much but she was still dubbed "the queen of china" at some point in her career because she was an outstanding caster for the English LPL stream.

"Their micro us really good but they're not effectively implementing the macro strategies we've seen from them earlier on in the split" sounds like commentary but it's not, and most of the time it wasn't even relevant to the game she was casting.
What people like Frosk fail to understand is the internet isn't a monolith. There are hate threads for EVERYONE somewhere. Her flaw is projecting that thread onto the ENTIRETY of a hobby, which is ironically prejudice and hateful. This is what makes her an unlikable person, because you feel in the scope of her scorn should you ever cross her slightly.
I don't know, it can easily be interpreted in other ways. What I mean is that you may obviously take someone's statements and sort them to create dramatic headline like this little weasel does to attract views, but we may never know what kind of shit was boiling up until the trigger event unless the other side of the conflict chooses to take out the dirty laundry into the public as well, which is just not going to happen as their careers and public image would take a greater hit.

The only thing I agree with her on is reddit being the worst part of league. Reddit can produce some of the most fun, interesting, and cool topics to talk about, not to mention the ryze subreddit itself, but on the whole it is typically a pretty terrible place to be. The rest of the shit she said was dumb as fuck, insensitive, and cruel. Glad shes gone and I hope G4 recovers from this.
Reddit is a big place with a lot of people. My experience is super positive. I would say everytime I went on some champion sub reddit and asked questions about some mechanic or build orders I would always get an answer or would be redirected to a section where it was already answered. Two times I was offered a free vod review from Diamond plus OTPs.

Nah, her surviving the cleansing (or ever getting a job there at all in the first place) is testament to the fact that those running G4 nowadays are cancer to everyone around them. the higher ups supported her, and tried to prop her up as some sort of crusading righteous warrior instead of the nagging bitter lunatic she is. It isnt the G4 that it used to be, it needs to be put into a grave so something like the old G4 can hopefully take its place.

Honestly, has anyone ever listened to a piece of content by her where she isn't a massive narcissist? even when she was lpl commentator way back before it was riot broadcast.
Damn...I actually really loved her commentary in the LEC, thought she was a great component, and a good female icon for women looking to get into anything similar.

I liked her a lot as a caster and analyst. She had people behind her and doing everything so that she can be heard. However, it looks like there is always someone to be blamed when it comes to her and never her. Time for a look in the mirror.
People don't know this but at one point she was considered to be one of the 'queens of china' as she did the English broadcast for the LPL a long time ago and her move to LEC was met with HUGE praise because as you've stated she's got a great head for casting and the game of LOL it self.
Just one thing to another as she was on the way out led to this downward spiral where no one could say or mention anything to her.

The LCK broadcast has much better females to present it, either as hosts or interviewers. They don't have female analysts yet but that's not the point. The biggest problem with her is that she was not presentable. To me, and to a lot of people, she as annoying to look at and listen to. She just was not presentable.

The thing that bothered me the most in all of this is that she wasn't a bad analyst during the time she created content relative to LPL, I believe it was back in 2014/15. Actually, I'd tune in sometimes to get some knowledge about LPL.

But I feel like, back in 2014, she used to focus only on the analysis, which was her content, and not making trendy and inflammatory comments about diversity that almost no one cares (Ask a single person that watched LEC during that time if anything).

Quickshot? More like Headshot. She thinks she knows too much about everything and with that comes a sense of entitlement rather than make your work speak for you. I'm glad that she is leaving. Her G4 rant and the way she seems to blame people and burn bridges is not a good way to be anywhere.
When she came to cast in EU first time I actually thought she did a good job and didn't care much for what she does outside her job, but I guess her views got more and more extreme and obviously we didn't know what is going on behind the scenes. Shame, really, she could have just continued doing a decent job at casting and be happy. Instead she chose to be bitter and of course blamed everyone else instead of her own actions.

She is a very hateful person and openly racist towards other people. She was even slandering her co workers on social. She shouldn't be part of the scene. Also she said some very stupid things for quickshot and despite that he still stood for her.
Leaving her personality and behaviours aside, I have to say I think she was a very good caster, I always appreciated the passion she put into her job.
I really liked her analysis on the desk and her insights that she brought with her from the LPL to the LEC. Even her monologue for LEC and Worlds were pretty damn epic. I was sad when she departure from the LEC but she keeps on having these awful and downright horrendous takes that it made it so hard to try and support her. Good for her for speaking her mind I guess?
It's a double-edged sword of a quality. She was an excellent caster and analyst BECAUSE OF her honesty and unconventional takes and I really thought she was the best person on the LEC cast when she was there.
Sadly, when you're a person who's getting offended at basically everything, her downfall was inevitable. People talk shit about everyone, even more so if you're a public person. Trying to change everyone else to comfort to her standards, like she did, is never the way. Just accept the world you live in, learn to listen to feedback, ignore the dumb people and toughen the fuck up.

Her take on gamergate is dead on. The specific shooter she referenced wrote a manifesto and had many links to gamergate and 4chan. I never liked her. Shes one of the people that always criticized others whilst lacking any form of self reflection. The double standards of her were really annoying. And often times those are VERY loud (see gamer gate shit). Women in gaming spaces already get treated very differently, I'm sure you've seen that yourself in your own games a few times.
With her being lesbian on top of that, she also gets homophobic comments.
It is easy to overlook and ignore such things from the outside, but if you get that shit every day, I can see how that would push someone over the edge, especially if everyone around you acts like nothing's happening.

I also read up on the drama, and gotta say, there's no doubt that a lot of the criticism of her public conduct is fuled by sexism. A lot of these takes are obvious too anyone that doesn't have their head stuck up their ass. Yes bigotry is rampant in gaming communities, it is harder as a woman in a male dominated field, her monologues did not include anything factually incorrect and G4s downfall was inevitable. A quick search for her name on Reddit reveals a lot of neck beards constantly ripping her apart for no real reason and a lot of of the hate starts with "she seems like..." Or "She comes off as...", Mf you don't know her. I can't speak for her conduct in private but neither can anyone else in these threads. Not to mention these criticisms are themselves sexists as a strong opinionated rant is never met with this much backlash when a man does it, it's clear that the topic and the person performing it is the rant. The G4 script was pre-approved my management.
In the end I'm saddened when a female voice is forced out the space and the community takes no time for self reflection. People seem to pretend like riot has never had a sexism problem.

If anything she was making it worse for those who are decent female voices in the industry. The management of G4 are equally as race-baity and terrible human beings so of course they would approve, and it has sank the company because of it. The reason people say "she seems like" or "she comes off as" is because she is trying to use her sexuality or race as the reason she is treated the way she is, and that is not true. She is treated the way she is because of the way she ACTS. Her actions shape her personality and thus forms what she "seems like/comes off as". If you dont see that, you are part of the problem and might wanna head out with her to whatever industry she wants to scream through next.

There might be reasons to dislike frosk outside of this, personally I've always liked her podcast appearances and LEC analysis but there can of course be private reasons that make her hard to work with and a few tweets that some people took offence to. The reaction and hatred towards her is however disproportionate to her perceived offences.
