I have the friggin same problem , so I put some folded bedsheets on my desktop table long enough to hide all corners and hide my bong between the speaker and cpu while surrounded by that cloth piece
I liked all but one hiding place. I don’t recommend EVER hiding valuables under a drawer! When thieves burglarize a home, they often times remove every drawer and dump the contents onto the floor. (It happened to us so I know first hand.) They would find anything hidden under a drawer in a heartbeat!!
Neal Millman he is trying to teach us how to hide weed but he doesn’t want to get demonetized trust me it works cops showed up 3 times and didn’t find anything
I used the wall plate method 45 years ago in my bedroom. They sell little secret boxes specifically for attaching to the back of a wall plate. My mom used it for years after I left home. When she sold the house, she had the carpets cleaned. The guy tried to plug in the machine but it wouldn't work. When he pulled the plug out, the box came with it. He was honest and told Mom who recovered diamonds and gold she would have forgotten when she moved out.
Don't do the bottle in the toilet, If the bottle floats up under the refill line during a flush and the water level when rising will knock the little clip off of the tube sending a jet of water across the lid and out onto your floor. Also don't do the pill bottles as most thieves look for pills before they look for money. If you don't mind a little work a very easy idea is buy a quad plastic outlet box and switch cover from lowes and elongate a switch box near a door, usually back door or adjacent wall. Nice 3 or 4 inch by 10 inch box 3 inches deep and cost less than 5 bucks with a cover and since its fake no wires at all inside it.
...and the wife comes along, takes the curtains down, shoves them in the washing machine and then the tumble dryer, then while ironing the curtains stumbles across a ruined flash drive and some paper mush that was once money! hahahaha
ahh but the new £5 note apparently cant go through the tumble dryer, it shrinks! did i not mention i am from the UK, oh yeah and it is just the £5 that is made from polymer the others are still from cotton paper...and even cotton paper can degrade and turn to mush.....www.thesun.co.uk/living/1902028/this-is-why-you-dont-tumble-dry-the-new-5-notes/
Some good tips. My grandmother used to put her rings on a safety pin thru the curtain hems. Another place you could stash something would be taped to the underside of a cats litter box hood. I cannot imagine any robber going to root through a dirty cat litter box!
curtain rods are a good place, remove the door trim on the hinge side or above the door, there is usually a pocket behind it, attach metal strips to the wall and inset magnets in the trim. in a basement, were the joists lay on the foundation can be made into a hidden compartment
Doc Ink - I like your idea on the door trim. How about this idea: Make a hole in the top of an interior door that is big enough to hold the container you plan to stash your stuff in. run fishing line around the container. Drop container in door + secure your fishing line to top of door with gorilla tape or magnets. Another idea is to pull off the cover of your house speakers and put your stash in there. Good luck & Happy New Year 2017!
thats a great idea if you have hollow core doors. I had an old house in NJ many years ago, the room on the 3rd floor had to areas of the floor that could be pried up, easily of you knew how, to reveal secret compartments, one was about 4foot long and 3boards or 10" wide, the other was a single board about a foot long
Doc Ink - Sweet. Bonus for you for sure. ; ). I forgot to mention books. A hollowed out book still works as a great stash. When driving long distances, I keep most of my travel $$ in my Bible.
I JUST GOT ROBBED. They took everything, the clock, all the kitchen & bathroom appliances they even checked the vents. I was lucky enough they never got to my ceiling but all i had left to hide up there was junk food and nudy mags. I think they might have seen this video.. THANKS BUD
After you're sent to assisted living and your house is sold, all your stashed cash will belong to the next owner! A reformed house-thief once told me to store my household cash in an empty box in the pantry -- an old barley box, perhaps, sitting right between the quinoa and the oats. Thieves know all the standard places -- ice trays, bottoms of drawers, pill bottles, ceiling panels, toilet tanks, etc. I keep all mine in only one place, so it's easy to remember where it is. I think I'd go crazy trying to remember 100 different hiding places.
Another really simple place is on top of kitchen shelving. a lot of rental units have open air above them that people will set plants or stuff. but anything flat in a sealed plastic bag wont be noticeable unless someone gets a ladder to really look up there.
Thief's often go to the master bedroom first and dump all of the drawers and check the bottom of the drawers...taping manila envelopes containing cutout cartoons would be a fun way to slow them down.

6:08 Damn, I spent a few hours not too long ago moving that exact same type of dresser... I love this guy's energy, I especially love how he mentions the same three items like it's his triple threat. Cash, flash drive, & documents.
Great video as usual. One point though from experience. Though the telephone wire are generally safe, they do have a ring voltage of around 70V. While that is not likely to do damage, if you have moist hand and happen to be touching the wires at the moment a call come in...it can really get your attention. if you don't have the land line active (use only cell phones) you wont have anything to be concerned with. Keep those ideas rolling.
I was in that industry for a good number of years and the older texts would always check the lines with their fingertips and they would take that 70 V and no problem at all but the younger guys never wanted to do that
I was walking down the street the other day, and some guy came up to me pushing a pistol into my stomach. At which point he said... "Your flash drive or your life!"
A great place to hide stuff is in an empty 1/2 gallon juice container that you've completely rinsed out and opened up the top part so that you can place stuff in the lower half (after wiping it dry with paper towel) and cover it with a false bottom. To make the false bottom, use a box cutter or razor blade knife to cut the base off another clean empty container, wrap the square bottom in one layer of Glad Wrap or Saran Wrap. Place the stuff you want to hide inside a self-sealing plastic bag along with something that has weight to it (if what you're hiding isn't heavy such as paper money) like a small brown pill bottle filled with salt. This is to keep the closed container from tipping over after you've put juice back in the top half. When you're done putting your bagged stuff and counterweight in the bottom half of the container, take the carton square that you covered with plastic wrap and force it down into the container making sure that it's level with the bottom after deciding how far down in the container you want it to be. A potato masher works great for tamping down and leveling the carton square. This should make a water-tight seal so that you can put juice back into the container and seal the top back up using Elmer's white glue to seal off the top fold** but leaving one side open as a spout like you normally do with open juice containers. As for how much space to leave on top for juice, I'd say 1/2 but no less than 1/3 of the container. **you will need to place a strong clip over the top fold to keep it together while the glue is drying. I use a large metal document clip to do the job. Those clips they make to close up bags of potato chips may not be strong enough. You can also do the same thing (and much easier) with large round cardboard containers like the ones they use to package Quaker Oats or large, rectangular cereal boxes (which also does not require refrigeration and can be stored just about anywhere in your kitchen). Of course, I won't be able to use these places in my home anymore now that I've let the cat out of the bag.
a ZipDrive IS A thing prior to flash or thumb drives. (not using the term correctly in this video as you noticed) It is (was) a heavy-duty floppy disc of sorts. The era between floppy disc & CD, large capacity storage was rare. ZipDrive predated CD by 2 minutes in the 90's. It was a proprietary system.

I love this guy's energy, I especially love how he mentions the same three items like it's his triple threat. Cash, flash drive, & documents.
maybe some cash or a zip drive
Your " hidy-holes" are no longer safe to use. However, inspiring ideas that can lead to other "hidy-holes"!
Good job!

Bibhuti Panda buy silver
Great video as usual. One point though from experience. Though the telephone wire are generally safe, they do have a ring voltage of around 70V. While that is not likely to do damage, if you have moist hand and happen to be touching the wires at the moment a call come in...it can really get your attention. if you don't have the land line active (use only cell phones) you wont have anything to be concerned with.
Keep those ideas rolling.
Thank you for the info
I was in that industry for a good number of years and the older texts would always check the lines with their fingertips and they would take that 70 V and no problem at all but the younger guys never wanted to do that
I was walking down the street the other day, and some guy came up to me pushing a pistol into my stomach.
At which point he said...
"Your flash drive or your life!"
are they smell proof

double bag it and add another bag with dryer sheets in it, or use a air tight mason jar :)
I love hearing that someone else uses the term "hidey hole" great videos, ty.
I hide all my “flash drives” in the pocket of one of those stuffed animal backpacks
Danggg
What if cat burglars watch this video
Diego Mares then get a catapult and send them on their way
Hiding cash amongst your medicine cabinet is like getting bonus points for thieves.
Whatcha gonna do with all that cash, all that cash up in that stash?
where did you get the name "ZipDrive" from????
Stainless are you talking about at 5:06?
Stainless that's what old people call flash drives, they also would call them zip drives
Dylan Smith lmao I love u
a ZipDrive IS A thing prior to flash or thumb drives. (not using the term correctly in this video as you noticed) It is (was) a heavy-duty floppy disc of sorts. The era between floppy disc & CD, large capacity storage was rare. ZipDrive predated CD by 2 minutes in the 90's. It was a proprietary system.
brr johnson Thx
Don't forget to draw a treasure map showing the location of all your stash.
I feel bad for his kids. When they are older they might try to hide weed or something and their dad would automatically find it
His kids must have such lucrative fun following him around the house. And what on earth is on all these flash drives that he needs to hide them?
Yeah the drop roof was a great idea for years until a water pipe broke, while me and my buddy was at schoo,l and his grandparents found our stash!!
correction, 10 hiding places that were good before being put on youtube.
