Amazing DENT Repair Tutorial | TESLA Model Y With Unexpected Fail 😩

- This video is a FULL ON How To, and or a Tutorial on HOW TO Repair the most common dent on a Tesla Model Y Tailgate.
Forget the Bit Where I Messed This Dent Up! 🫣
I made sure to capture every moment of this repair so that you, the viewer can really see how it’s actually carried out. No rubber plungers, hot water or welding tools and certainly No Filler or Paintwork
This repair took around 8 hours to complete. In real world times this would take around 4-5 hours (without any filming etc)
I started off the repair using a lot of heat and a soft cap rubber tipped PDR bar
After struggling to push the dent out I released a lot of tension above the bodyline which really helped.
Still putting up a fight I decided to use Lateral tension to stretch the panel and this gave me a lot of help!
Lots and lots of fine pushing and tapping down until eventually the dent was up.
The bottom panel edge was the toughest part of this repair and with my handy technique of repairing this I had it looking amazing.
A few last tweeks and I created a chip in the paint and I was horrified.
Yes the paint had been compromised from the accident and these issues don’t often happen but still. I’m fixing dents without paining and this is real life.
I’m not perfect but il happily share my skills and knowledge, and help you with showing my repairs to you.

Wow, I remember when you came around to fix a dent in my garage door and before that in my subaru! how times have moved on and you've got your own place, well done.
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed it?
I’m trying to remember your repairs! A garage door? Not done many of those!
I hope I made good repairs
Хорошая работа,снимай побольше видео

Another in depth video from the PDR master, well done Martin! 👏👏👏
Thanks Jake! I try my best as always! Appreciate your feedback from the PDR Master !!
You are so very missed my friend outstanding job in your video. Keep them coming. You definitely should be a teacher. You explain everything so very well. I’m very proud of you for what you have done. Hope to see you at MTE next year.
Hat's off for showing the mistake you made. It happens and you owned it. Much respect!
Thank you very much. Got to be honest on a job as not every job is perfect
When its large dent I still can’t get my heard around how he can see the tool tip when pushing on a large dent. With my small experience I would be tempted to use fog light but there’s a reason why he’s so good. Lovely work. Keep going brother. Thanks for the videos.
Hi Martin, you do a great job with Pdr ,Great technician ,and also editing the video I know take time to do everything until the clip it’s done. All the Best 🙌
Thank you Alexandru 🙌🏼
Привет Мартин) я прям восхищаюсь твоей работой. Сам занимаюсь PDR вот только пол года) смотреть как ты работаешь и все объясняешь, одно удовольствие)
Thank you so much! I hope the subtitles worked if you chose them.
And thank so much for watching and enjoying my videos I really appreciate it
Hey Martin that looked to be a very complex repair with an excellent result but for me with all due respect to Ev owners they really are computers on wheels. Quality video 😎🦘🇬🇧
Thanks Bill hope your well?
We are a lot of damaged Tesla’s. Done a few of these but I know where I went wrong. Won’t happen ahainn

martin thats a cracking job there mate,I really love the video,s Thanks
Hey Thanks Craig! Really appreciate your kind words and support
It's a horrible feeling, I did similar on a BMW bootlid a few years back. Fixed a nasty dent right on the top edge but then in the final stages, tidying up the finish and with a metal knock down, I put 2 small chips in. I was gutted... Great repair though pal and thanks for sharing the good and the bad 👍🏻
Thanks Tom. I remember you saying about that job!
Who Dares Wins “sometimes”
Hi Martin, as always you have done a great job. What matters is the end result, which is great. The little damage to the paint is just bad luck.
I remember my teacher, who used to tell me that 'the best is the enemy of the good'...
You’re still the number one!
Thank you Massimo very kind of you. I’m only human I don’t glass every single repair and I mess quite a few up which is “Just Life” it’s a repair at the end of the day 🤷🏻♂️ thanks so much for watching and enjoying the video and commenting I always enjoy your comments 🙌🏼
Good morning and afternoon. I am not a PDR master, but a tinsmith, although I study PDR repair myself and understand how difficult and responsible it is. I believe that you should not worry about the little things in the repair, which the client may not even see, because your work is done super well!!!
p.s. I'm watching you and learning. A subscriber from Russia
Another cracking video mate, we all make mistakes sometimes at least your honest. There are too many rogue traders within the many fields of our industry. I aim to balls something up at least once a day it keeps me grounded lol
Unbelievable repair 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Damian
Looks good to me
Hey Bill thank you for watching and commenting 🙌🏼

Nice repair. 500 was a deal if thats the ballpark you charged.
Amazing job!!!! How long did that take you my brother?
Loving the videos!! where did you buy the white tap down with the leather tip?
Good nit of education!
Thanks William 🙌🏼
So it wasn't written off then. EVs burst into flames 6 months after a little tap...so they say.
Nice job though.
500 pounds ? Kidding ,right?
Yes and that’s very reasonable
Sorry, but not in the real world.
@Brulserz that’s cheap. See what the guys in USA charge
He means £500. Sterling not 500 Pounds weight.
Wow, really?
