San Diego: Police Standoff Ends in Arrest 09182020

LOCATION: 5th Ave & Fir St
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
The CVS store at this location reported to the police that a female had stolen several hundred dollars of merchandise and had gotten into a Cadillac Escalade in the parking lot across the street.
When officers arrived, they found the transgender male still present and ordered the suspect out of the SUV and he was non-compliant. The officers also discovered the SUV was reported stolen out of Dallas, Texas.
The suspect eventually got out of the SUV, but still would not comply with the officers’ orders and surrender until he finished his bottle of wine. He took his time drinking the wine and when he finished the bottle, he put it down and walked over to the Police, and surrendered.
UPDATE: This incident took place during the BLM phase in 2020, where officers were accused of everything they did is wrong. This incident took so long as to try and de-escalate the situation.
This man was arrested 1 week later after breaking into an apartment that had several weapons inside and the suspect would not surrender, so the SWAT team was called in, and the suspect was arrested.
This person is an adult film star by the name of TS Bronx.

Weirdest standoff I've ever seen.
Yeah it was ridiculously excessive for about 10 cops to stand there (many with their guns out waiting) for some person to drink a bottle of wine while looking for a reason to shoot them. This was a 1 cop car, 2 person job. It was also quite obvious the perpetrator came out unarmed. She should be arrested and prosecuted but I cannot help but think the ridiculous waste of taxpayer dollars this is. If these cops have nothing better to do than for multiple cops to point guns at an unarmed person, than maybe some layoffs should be occurring. They should be out solving some violent crimes and protecting civilians from actual violent people. People like this unarmed lady who stole a vehicle could’ve easily been dealt with by one or 2 police officers.
