- INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-1-19 1:00 pm approx
LOCATION: Giant Pizza King at Jamacha Rd & Elketon Blvd.
CITY: Spring Valley
DETAILS:
2 Black males robbed the Giant Pizza King at gunpoint and then fled on foot southbound on Elketon Blvd. SD Sheriff Deputies were on the scene immediately giving chase. The suspects went southbound on Broadview St, and broke through a side gate of a house on a house, ran through the backyard and jumped the fence into the backyard of a house on Parkbrook St. As Deputies poured into the area with the SDPD ABLE helicopter overhead, announcements were made for the suspects to surrender. The suspects were hiding in the garage but eventually surrendered without incident.
The elderly female resident of the house who is hard of hearing was inside and she came out of the house not knowing what was going on. She went to her son’s house across the street.
The actual loss is unknown at this time. The Robbery Detectives are now investigating.
