I purchased the XT4 in March 2022 and I can honestly say, it's the best piece of camera equipment I've ever held and used - it really fills all my needs, if not even more. The only downside for me was getting used to the FUJI menu-system and the various buttons around the camera - that took a while to get used to, but other than that it's a solid 5/5 from me.
I bought an XT3 when the XT4 came out and absolutely haven’t regretted it. In fact, for my use case with photography, I’d take it over the XT4 any day. Given the price of an XT3 now, I’d 100% say they’re still worth buying in 2022.
I’m about to get one next week. Switching from X-S20 to a used X-T4. Love the grip on X-S20 but can’t get to grips with the way exposure settings work on that.
Perfect timing on the video. Ive been on the fence for the past week about this camera and its 16-80mm lens. I agree with you 100% on the price for an older camera. Autofocus is a concern, I hope the XT5 is announced with the same improvement the h2s got
Nice video Eren. Yes, I own an X-T4 as well as an X-Pro2, X-T2 and X-T3, and enjoy using them all. The only VERY slight niggle I have with the X-T4 is that I have never been quite happy with the operation and feel of the shutter release button. I use a soft release button on all my Fuji bodies and they all feel fine all of the time except for the X-T4. It is hard to explain exactly how I sense the problem but it just sometimes feels as if it is going to stick or not operate. It always DOES operate and maybe it is just that it is a totally different feel to the X-T2 and X-T3. However, great camera and I love it.
That is interesting, I’ve not used a soft shutter release yet in this, in general though, the x-t4 is noticeably softer when pressing the shutter button so maybe it’s how they changed the design of it from the x-t3
Nice work Eren, just to mention that issues with dust and water are much more common when using lenses that are not WR. Also when we change lenses in windy conditions
One thing that always keeps me from switching from photo to video is the fact that I need to put an ND Filter if I'm shooting at day, this really takes away all the convenience of having such easy switch, imagine having an integrated ND in the body, just like the X100V.
Yh would absolutely love some sort of internal ND. That said, shooting at iso 160 and on eterna with a high f stop you can get away with shooting video, on sunny days. Obviously not a perfect replacement for an ND though 😄
I had an experiance Fuji 35mm 1:1..4 lens, which was very pretty look filim camera , so I love your beautiful dails on the tblack top....& very interesting of your cleared voice of one by one narration nice.
@@ChaconJairo because, at least where I live, you can get one that is used in like-new condition for $1100-1200. The savings versus buying new will buy you an additional lens or two.
Informative and honest review. X-T4 is a wonderful camera. The only real caveats that led me, personally, to add a Nikon (Z) back into my kit were chiefly high ISO performance and AF face/eye detection. But my X-Pro2 and X100V? There's nothing quite like them on the market. And Fujifilm colors-whether SOOC or RAW-have a lovely, naturalistic, organic quality.
Well I was just about ready to buy an XT-5, I had sold my Nikon D610 and lenses and already purchased a 50 f2 and 18 f2 second hand for the new body. Well it seems I waited a bit too long after they were released and now the silver body is sold out in my country and no one knows when they will be back in stock. Guess what, I picked up a great deal on a new XT-4 ($1300 cheaper than XT-5) in the Black Friday sale and thinking again about the differences between the two models I don't regret my decision one bit.
Thanks for this video. I agree on the topics exposed here, I am an XT3 and XT4 user, bought the XT4 a couple of 100 bucks cheaper during last years' cashback campain. I believe it's a wanted Fuji decision to keep the price high so they could sell the XT5 way over the 2000 USD/EUR mark. This would alienate though a lot of the amateur/hobby photographers which still can afford top cameras like the XT3 but are already struggling with the XT4...
Hi, there is a lock function you can customize and add to a button, swipe etc (eg I have set it up so when I swipe down I can toggle camera lock (I excluded swipe down from lock so I can unlock it the same way)).
Thanks for your very useful video Eren. I have a chance of buying a used silver XT3 or a used silver XT4, both at fairly good prices (would have preferred Black though). I'm on the fence about which one to go with. I don't do hardly any video and prefer the XT3 screen, but like the idea of IBIS and the better autofocus. Your video is pushing me toward the XT4 and was a great help.
@@erenjam Thanks Eren, your right. The price of used XT3's seem to be coming down a lot at the moment and there's plenty of them, so will likely buy one of them.
Very informative gear video as always! I'm still rocking x-t2 and x-t3 combined for photos, since I prefer smaller body and the way of screen articulation - flip screen isn't just for me as a photographer. And as far as handling and ergonomy goes for longer sesions, I add handgrips wich are not that expensive and they don't add much bulk and weight compared to battery grips... I wish that x-t5 would be more similar to older design, screen articulation and size like t2/3, it fits more to my style of photography.
Thanks for your thoughts about the T4. I love my Pro3 but since I started taking video I am wishing for a camera with better work flow. I think about buying a T4 although I am right eye dominant, but maybe I will get used to it. With the T5 available now I will have a look for deals, especially after Christmas. I have also seen offerings from trustworthy used gear sellers for T4s in very good condition for less than 1200€. Thanks for reassuring me switching between stills and video is easy, that’s one of my main concerns right now. Cheers. Dennis
@@erenjam thanks i have watched them all since i commented the above. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and art 📸❤️👍🏻i am looking out for the xt4 because of the flip screen, i think this is a big benefit for me..!
I love my XT3, but if I were to purchase the XT4 it would really be for the Battery life. Otherwise, the XT3 is a steal these days.I hope that the XT5 will have a headphone jack and full sized HDMI. If it doesn't then getting an XT4 or another XT3 in 2022-2023 isn't a bad choice at all.
