Looks yea. It’s a bygone era. But if speed is the only metric, it can’t match it straight off the showroom floor. Now a 496 kit in the stock block with some good heads puts it back on top again.
Man have you seen what muscle car descendants are up to today ? You can't get more power from them without crossing a 1000hp soon...muscle has never been better, now as for how long they will last that's another topic.
Yea thats for sure, I'm stuck in a time warp, I own a 1990 ZR-1 and currently building a 1975 firebird with a 73 front clip. Will be starting the bored and stroked 1972 455HO today. High compression, fat cam, and a 850 Hp series Holley dbl pumper. Old school all the way. Long live ye ole muscle cars!! 👍👍🏁🏁

Used to have a '70 Chevelle SS396 with Flowmasters. Had 3" with a crossover. It's such a great sound. Nice and full without sounding "tinny". Flowmaster does it right.
Cam sounds truly good 💯💯...40 Series FlowMaster dual Exhaust is the way to go 💯...I got them on my 4.6 Mustang GT...& My Vintage 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo
@Chad Ryan Man that Red Chevelle looks clean AF. BTW i also love the Millenium Jade R34 GTR Vspec 2 NÜR, the car was so advanced that the only thing it needs is a reverse camera to be on par, i mean i think a OG 454 LS5 or LS6 would be cheaper than the asking price of one of those GTRs.
Imagine growing up in the 60s and 70s, the world was so much more free. I've listened to my uncle's tell stories of living free and just having fun. People didnt complain, cops didnt care what you were doing as long as you weren't tearing shit up, and getting to drive monsters like this. P.s: plus the music was better too lol.
I totally feel what you're saying ! That era was a golden one and we're never going to be able to live that unfortunately. My cars and stuff are pretty much vintage ones ; i really want to relive those days to the max !
I have the same exact setup on my Canadian Chevelle (1968 Pontiac Beaumont) but with no bracketry showing. For himself he likes the original factory look on the outside of the car and not under the hood ! 😉
I didn't even realize how short the vid was cuz I saw 454 and pressed play.next thing ya know i said, DUDE, REALLY!? It was just getting good . Sweet lookin tho
That hard not critical start up could be a leaky carburetor. Leaking out after parking overnight or just a few hours. I’m not a professional mechanic but had a quadrajunk carburetor causing me trouble. Just check it out. If I’m wrong just simply call me an asshole. I love 70 chevelles more than anything and any other chevelle second. God speed. Especially a four speed
It was my friend's car and he parked it not long before and gave it some gas to start it up. Small mistake that got a good amount of views for my video.
You don't just sit in & start these cars, you wake them up

The sound of this beast is off the charts.

Damn I miss my younger days. These cars were run of the mill. I don’t see anything on the road today that would be worth preserving.
It’s not preserving nowadays it’s recycling (plastic + thin aluminum cars) !
