What a great vid flowmaster, wish all makers do this :)
Can't get over the 2008-2010 SRT8 wheels on this challenger.
Michael 426 super ugly.

😂 never noticed and I watched this video a bunch of times
I just installed the flowmaster 40 series American thunder. Ome of the best decisions of my life. Terrific volume and amazing sound. Love it. Great job flowmaster!
@marko Ingram...you recommend the 40 series? I just purchased a '18 charger RT and can't decide which one to slap on it
took me a second to realize that the mountains in the background are the same mountains I can see from outside my window lmao
I had a 97 Z71 vortec 350 with a pair of super 10’s wow it was an eye opening sound! Very aggressive especially because I had 4” tips 18” long. Loved it but my favorite mufflers I had was a pair of 12” glass packs. Sawweet sound for me!
man I love that first pro series muffler love that sound and tone and then the muffler after that one and the 40 series always wanted the 40 series muffler
I did a super 10 on my suburban 454 . 2 in 2 out . Awesome sounds
Great comparison. I have a 300s 2013 year with the hemi and added the super 40s. Great sound. Had to remove the resonators to get the best sound. The only complaint is interior noise around 2k rpm. Rest is music to my ears.
I really appreciate the video, but if you're true intention is to help everyday people choose a muffler based on sound shouldn't a stock engine be used? Most people aren't running strokers.
I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 5.3 liter with the 40 series and an S&B cold air intake and it sounds phenomenal!!!
The super 10 gave me a smile 😁. Thinking about getting a flow master muffler for my 98 Camaro ss
I've got dual Super-10s on a 454. It's almost unbearable. My ears ring after drives. You cannot talk in the cab without yelling, even at idle.
I used to own a 1999 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2l (318) and I put true dual flowmaster super 10s and I loved it !!!!!
The muffler that has “3 chambers” is the one you want. Chill at cruising speeds and loud AF at WOT. Best of both worlds.
I'm a chevy guy, but if you're gonna do sound demos with Flowmaster mufflers, use a foxbody with the 5.0
One of the best exhaust notes I've ever heard.
My guy 👍
I agree
My 4.6 V8 might have something to say to that.
thank you for that tutorial. I subscribed
Can’t hear the mufflers all I hear is your yappin 😩🤨😒
😭😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
lol! Telling it how it is. 😂
Leave it to a Ford owner who complains about learning something.
Lmfaoo
I absolutely love my Super 10 on my 08 Silverado. It’s amazing
Thank you thank you thank you I'm sold on the super 50 Series I have a 1978 F-150 4x4 with 351 four-barrel and full length headers hooked up to2 1/2" -- 2 chamber Flowmasters.. and as I'm getting older it's too damn loud especially when I'm snow plowing and using it everyday thank you for this demonstration I'm sold
I've had FM on 3 of the 5 Wranglers that I owned, and are some of the best quality built products made. Although they are a little heavy for racing applications, and are better with trucks/Jeeps. Thats why I went with 3" SLP loudmouth catbacks on my Challenger, and flow super well. Shes a modern Challenger SRT8, so it's heavy and is why they are a better choice. Anyone that has one of these big beautiful beast, knows what I'm talking about and can use all the help we can get in that area
Have a 2018 5.0 coyote powered f150 with resonator delete 3" piping going into a flowmaster super 44 with 4" stainless Polished tip sounds like a beast!
I agree with David Rossman you should use a regular stock V8 and a regular stock six and regular stock four cylinders that would be the best way to do it
looks like this was filmed in camarillo ca. super clean challenger!
Got the Flowmaster Super 10 dual exhaust on my '06 Dodge Ram 1500 and it sounds so mean and growls super loud
TNandProud!!! I think I'll do the same. Wondered what would sound good. I have 01 Dodge Laramie with the 360.
I'm thinking of replacing my Super 10s on my BBC 454. It's too loud, tired of my ears ringing, and no convos while running, forget radio.
I think I will decide with the 44s.Great Video thanks
I got 44s myself been on my car for 3 days can't wait to hear them fully broken in
Excelent video. Thanks.
I have the Outlaw kit on my 2016 Ram with the Hemi. Super 10 muffler with a resonator delete. Saying it's loud would be an understatement lol.
Loud and rasp
Never thought any flowmaster actually sounded good dynamax are the best flowing and sounding mufflers that gives that old fashioned muscle car sound!
Best review video ever
Best low rumble tones without the raspy high end
Delta flow 4:28
Super 44 5:11
Super 10 5:36
Yeah I got 44s on mine currently had super 10s original 40s flowmaster outlaw mufflers.
Do you know if they have loud idle sounds or drone?
One of the best sounding exaust are the (89 - 94) 5.0 Mustang with an H-Pipe.
Cammed so there’s more exhaust duration/sound, long tube equal length headers, Dr Gas x-pipe, 40-series flows. Maybe heads and a supercharger for good measure ;)
Only thing crazier I’ve heard was a cammed 5.0 equal length shorties into a Dr gas with dynomax mufflers on a ‘94 with the flared LX fox style tailpipes. It howled like a banshee.
This vid painfully underserves the mufflers in it.
I want to say my 85 C30 pickup has Super 10 mufflers on it. Regardless even with factory true duals, stock stainless manifolds and no cats as she came off the factory floor, that 454 under the hood is mean sounding.
I have the same truck. Do smog guys question why you have no cats? Stupid guys...
Great video
Thank you thank you thank you I am sold on the super 50 I have a 78 Ford F150 4x4 with a 351 4-barrel full length headers and 2 1/2 " Two" chamber Flowmasters straight out the ass...and as I'm getting older it's too damn loud LOL with snow plowing and everyday driving I can't wait to try these 50 Series thank you again for this video
my favorite is 10 series
Even with the 50 series you can hear me a mile away, and it rattles the windows, sets off car alarms, and attacks the cops 🤣
On what type of car do you have them on
I used to like that. Someone in a parking lot was sitting like a lump in front of you, get them a blast, they jumped. Or in underground garages, alarms will go off.
50 !
Oh thats you?
I use to have super 44 on my dodge pickup with 5.5 inch echos under the cab set off car alarms and my truck was heard coming into town and had to get in and get out because I was on the watch list for police
Super 10 hands down , i have it on a 5.4L , stock cats still on , sounds amazing but Ive heard flowmasters begin to rust out over a short few years 😬 , cherry bomb extreme muffler would be my next choice .
The extreme sounds so nice
Pinky poo Butt I did it on my 4.6 triton myself for around 75 bucks I’m telling you right now do it!! I got guys at work hating on me cuz he spent 300 at a shop to put flow masters on his Chevy 350 and it’s not even half as loud as mine
409 stainless flowmasters won't rust
@@PawlDunken well I had 4 exhaust leaks in mine, the stupid flow master rotted out
I threw 2 Super 10s on my V8 Audi s5 with an X-Pipe. Beast!
Wow. I'd love to hear it. I have super 10 on my 2017 reg cab ram 1500 hemi. Its loud as f**k...lol
I have a super 10 on my 4.3 vortec...it is worth it ...it sounds like a V8 at low revs and at high as a raspy v6 sound and as the catch back happens it makes pops n crackles.
Would be nice if Flowmaster built it's HP 2 series in 3 and 3 1/2 inch sizes for Cobras...And how about some dyno tests
Hey its grown up chuckee damn, guess those videos were old and this is your new channel!
I've had countless brands of mufflers/exhaust systems and Flow masters IMO sound the best
Got original 40s on my 06 charger I had purchased super 10s getting installed as we speak cant wait to hear it
You either like the Flowmaster sound or you don’t. Not much middle ground. Older hot rodders grew up with the sound of glass packs in the 60’s -70’s. Flowmasters sound too tiny to many of us older hot rodders. Those who grew up in the 80’s and later tend to prefer the Flowmaster sound as that is what every 5.0 Mustang and Camaro had.
Cool video💯
Great video! I'm trying to decide on a exhaust for my BMW 550i xDrive. As you know, the car has a Twin Turbo V8 but it's way too quiet.
Resonator delete (replace with X-Pipe), 2.75" exhaust, but which mufflers will I need for deep, loud sound with minimal drone inside. That's the question.
@@carid it's a 2012 BMW 550i xDrive.
Best throaty bass for 2015 Mustang that has standard exhaust but H pipe, or do i open original mufflers and redesign in the style of Flowmaster with delta plates? Opinions please? Straight through might be too much.
Hey Flowmasters, please redo this video with sound decibel readings inside and outside the Challenger for all your mufflers in the video so a potential customer can compare the loudness between all the mufflers and not just a few. This will also allow a customer to determine whether any particular muffler may be louder or quieter compared to their existing muffler with their own loudness measurements. There is a sound level meter app available to do this. Thanks in advance.
I have a tip for you, the muffler will be loud
Hey Brad Gris, please redo this comment and think about how the inside and outside of the modded Challenger for all of their mufflers in the video wouldn't be comparable to your shitty 150hp saab and it won't help you decide.
nice looking charger , all mufflers sound great , pro series is a livable road triper ....
Where? I only saw a challenger in this video, with ugly wheels
what about a dual set up for my 20 7.3 Godzilla. Daily driver thinking one of the 50 series with black exhaust/tips. Do y'all make them
Super 10s on my 2012 Camaro SS with Kooks headers, no cats, X pipe and resonator delete is what I have.
Mannnn i have a 2006 chrysler 300 srt8 with the Original 40 series and my neighbors love me 🤣🤣
That charger is clean af😍
Challenger
Could you do this same test on a smaller engine? Like maybe a 302 or around there? That would help me make a decision
What would be best for a 2013 Dodge Charger SXT AWD? Don’t want it so loud that it will wake up my neighborhood at 5am but not quiet like the chargers and challengers are in stock form. I was thinking 40 series delta flow.
My favorite is the pro series. It has a high pitched aggressive sound.
Need to update this video
Really need a redo with db levels for all, that's what I need to see, interior db level
I really like the pro series. Reminds me a bit of old school glasspacks.
I got a super 10 on my 4.3 Silverado and it sounds good nice rumble
runnuh187 same here , do you have dual exit pipes? Mine is dumped before the axle under the cab
If u have dual exhaust are you gonna need two muffler
SUPER 10s for the Fox body it is!!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
All mustang's sound the same no matter what you put in it.
Big J Dawg how do they sound, I need something for my 89 GT
Nice video, maybe next time use a common vehicle so it's more practical
I put a super 10 on my 2015 ram i love it
rmartinjr83 what kind of engine?
What about the flowmaster outlaw?
Outlaw is just a super 10
@@nate199813 false bud. Super 10 is a single chamber muffler. Outlaw has louvers it goes I'm between
Anyone know how It sounds on a 6th gen Camaro ?
No its not. Outlaw is basically a straight through muffler. The super 10 has 1 small chamber. The outlaw is louder than the super 10. I have it on my mustang.
No, it's different. It's closer to a resonator or Dynomax Bullet.
Yo I gotta Saturn vue redline 2004 & I need help with picking a good flow master I want it loud , any suggestions?
How they sound with the four-cylinder and six cylinder I think it’s totally different
The 44 Series , and with my Borla Exhaust really makes my 2012 AWD Fusion Sport sound like its A Chevy . Sweet tone
Turbo magazine did a flow,hp, and DB test on Mufflers. Flowmaster was the loudest and poorest flowing.
I Agree Flowmasters Actually Flow Horrible. When you look into the inlet of any Flowmaster, the Hot Exhaust pretty much Slams into a Wall. I personally like the Dynomax Ultra Flo Which all come in Stainless Steel. Hell i believe even the Basic Dynomax Super Turbo even Flows better than Flowmasters.
I have a straight pipe long tube header, 2014 Silverado I want to quite it down but not lose power I think it sounds great but I live in California which muffler should I get to quite it down but not restrict it
Not chokemaster get a borla proxs for it
The best sounding one was the 40 Delta and Super 44.
I got 44s on my 06 dodge charger rt with the 5.7L Hemi
I like the Sound from the Black Widow mufflers. Plus, the construction of the Black Widow mufflers are built way better.
PLUS the black widows dont have hardly any drone. Flowmaster still have the sound.. but to outdated and cost hp
Cant trust a black widow
I have a 1995 mitsubishi 3000gt. Still stock. What would be a good muffler to go with the stock v6. I don’t have money to go all out on the system so I just want the mufflers. What would be the best sounding flor masters
Christian Coleman a v6 with flowmaster wonder how it sound like
Haa, I also have the same exact car and year and am here to figure out the same thing.
what would you guys recommend on a 1989 F150???
40 series delta flow or original 40 are best hands down
I got it on my 06 charger rt the og 40s sound great!! Now I'm going to experiment with the 10s
In your opinion, of course.
Do they have a pro series but very quiet ?
Sleeper etc…
Just had 10s duel exhaust 3” tails sounds fantastic … 5.7 Hemi Ram
I love the 40 series flowmaster I have that on my 85 s10 2.8 an people are like is that a v8 an I'm like nope haha . I run that type on everything I own flowmaster is the best in my opinion
Is it loud on the inside or can you have a conversation?
I have a 99 chevy k1500 suburban with the 350 vortec and dont want to be over the top but also want something that has a deep bass sound. Any suggestions?
MagnaFlow for that deep classic musclecar sound
I have a 2015 Dodge Challenger RT 8 speed automatic is the 40s series too loud with a resonator delete? I don't mind a little drone thanks
Anthony a my 15 had them when I got it. No drone at all that i recall however was too quiet for me, but then again I prefer open headers
How would a 3.8 V6 sound with a super 44 or 40 series. 291 HP I hve a 2920 Telluide. May be it's me getting back to my younger days
Jim
Wow, a 2920? Very ahead of its time.
Super 44 for the 87 Camino it is
Can you get them with exhaust hangers?
Like Toby says...lil less talk an alot more action 🤯
Maybe spend more time on the sound of the mufflers and not speak over them.
Facts lol
Which muffler will give me the best sound for a stock V6
WAIT ! Flowmaster or Magnaflow? Is there a difference? I have a 2016 Hellcat so which is best & keep in mind I am an aggressive person!
I can tell
I have a 2002 Mustang V6 with a single stock exhaust. Any advice on a good choice of muffler? I just bought a jeep so I don't have the funds to overhaul the exhaust system so a new muffler and tail pipe is all she gets ATM.
So which muffler will give her a sweet sound without making an ass out of myself? It's a 6 and I except that.
Thanks, I know that it will never sound like that Challenger nor would i want it to. I just have a hard time figuring out what these mufflers will sound like on a V6 with a single muffler. I have yet to come across a YT video of a V6 Mustang that it not dual exhaust. Maybe I will just keep searching YT and forums to find what i want.
If you were forced to make a recommendation between 40's and 50" what would it be? knowing that i want her to sound mean but not too aggressive (if you know what i mean)
Kelly MacMillan I know exactly what you mean.. the cons of driving a v6. I have a 98 single cab chevy c1500 and I would love it to sound more aggresive but still tamed. my bro has the same truck but his is a v8.. he has flowmasters 44.. and the sound is just sex to my ears.. knowing i wont get that same sound as a v8 and sound like an ass(like you mention) puts me off from an exhaust.
What do you guys recommend for a 2013 VW GTI?
i have 1l petrol car. which exhaust i prefer??
Black widows are the new go to muffler!
Which one would be a good aggressive sound for a diesel? Anyone...
Hows about you guys figure out how to build a muffler that actually muffles. Ya all more noise doednt necessarily mean more power. I got honda blackbird 69 ci and 165 hp and it's so quiet I can hear the rear tire spin...completely stock exhaust...been on a dyno with 3 different exhaust
super 10 100%
I wanna install a super 10 on my v6 Camaro. Do I need one or two?
Won't sound good.
I've got dual Super-10s on a 454. It's almost unbearable. My ears ring after drives. You cannot talk in the cab without yelling, even at idle.
Depends if it's TRUE dual exhaust or if it goes into 1 pipe at some point.
is it get louder than a straight pipe with delete resonate and muffler?
Yep
If u have dual exhaust pipes are you gonna need 2 mufflers to install
You can get dual in dual out mufflers
I will stay with my Spintech mufflers on my 632 bbc!!
I wouldnt brag about overpriced Chambered mufflers on a 632. Yes spintech are "chambered" with the spin traps. Chambered mufflers=decreased performance. Why build a 632 to kill it with poor muffler choice?
What would sound good for a stock 350 small block?
@@carid 84 c10 Silverado thank you!
Will a super 10 get a good sound with a 454 big block ?
Yep 👍 I have a small block lt1 2nd gen Corvette engine 96 Impala and it sounds great.
Hi guys I have a Prius and would like to know which muffler is best for my little beast...
kevin hernandez super 10 ofcourse ! You need to let that big block 572ci in that be heard bhru! 🤙🏼
I have a spare Briggs & Stratton muff
When you were a kid did you ever do the baseball card in the spokes thing? You might want to look into something like that. Then you'll really be cool!
What do y'all recommend for a 1985 ss monte carlo
Antonio Bridges super 10
Straight pipes on mine
The ORIGINAL 40 is more aggressive than the super 44 every time I’ve had them. I dunno why they list the 44 as more aggressive. The original 40 is the only one that isn’t a delta Flow and it growls all through the rpm range....aka drone. Super 44 has a lot less drone at cruise speed. The original 40 is louder in every way in my experience
Super 10 sounds like a loud tin can
Yeah I agree I have 44s on my ride now! It's like stock level without the drone
That's all good if you have a Challenger muscle car. But what about the everyday guy that has a nice old truck or truck that wants a cool sound?
Wats da loudest for 2017 mustang gt
