"Nothing can ever be easy." 100% truth!
I had taken a 50 series Flowmaster and a Vibrant Performance Vibrant Oval Stainless Steel Muffler and ran some DB testing on my work bench using a Co2 pistol. The Vibrant Performance Vibrant Oval Stainless Steel Muffler, was several DB quieter than the Flowmaster in the testing. So ended up using the Vibrant Performance Vibrant Oval Stainless Steel Mufflers, and the Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet Resonators in series with each muffler. No Cats and now restrictions at all in the exhaust, and really not too load. The Vibrant Performance Vibrant Oval Stainless Steel Mufflers are just as quiet as the Borla Pro XS yet seem to be built better, and take up less space side to side vs the Borla. So max flow and zero restriction in the exhaust, compared with a baffle type muffler, even though the Flowmasters have a great sound.
That's an interesting approach to testing DB levels. I wonder if the Helmholtz resonance chambers inside the 50s were able to do anything with the frequencies produced by the CO2 pistol. Love the innovation!
@@ThisOldFarmShop I figured it would represent expanding gasses and that it would be consistant with each pull of the trigger. I had ordered a few different mufflers from Summit which were the Pypes, Magnaflow, Borla which I already had and the Flowmaster 50 series. Doing it this way made it so much easier than jacking up the car and trying to fit all these different size mufflers on the car.
@@tedjones-ho2zk Pretty smart!!
@@ThisOldFarmShop We all come up with a different or good idea every now and then. That's the good thing about your channel and others, we can share ideas.
Sounds really good dude, I like the 50s. Great comparison
Thank you for the great comparison video, great editing. People often complain about how loud Flowmasters are while they choose the loudest Flowmasters lol it's an odd thing, but I like the tone of the 50s you installed, and 8-10db is a huge reduction
Thanks for the kind comments! I've had the 50s on for a while now and I really like them! Ears don't ring anymore after a couple miles 🤣😂. No regrets!
Important thing to remember here is that decibels are on a logarithmic scale. Every 3db actually equals a doubling in sound pressure. So losing 8-10dbs as you are in most cases here is actually a huge difference, especially when it comes to those annoying drone frequencies.
I went from a Thrush muffler in my 4.6 4V to the Series 50 Delta Flow, totally awesome reduction in drone at all rpm ranges. Quieter at idle and still sounds great when you get on it. Exactly what the video says. Great job, well done. Happy motoring.
I didn't know the particulars of that, but wondered about it. Thanks! That really helps me in shopping for something to replace my Jegs version of 2 chamber 40s.
This man is correct but I will say it in a simpler way. 5 decibels is a lot. I’m in car audio and 5 db’s is a pretty big difference if comparing a stock sound system to an aftermarket so on mufflers I would only want something 2-3 decibels louder at idle and maybe 5-6 decibels loud when in the gas
Sounded better with the 50 series. The difference in the sound is much quieter. A loud car is fun for about 5 mins then it becomes a big headache
Dam it sounds good at wot with those 40s.
But my 53 yo ears would get tired of it pretty quick.
Thats the best side by side comparison ive ever seen, job well done. i also had the same problem with my 94 cobra with the collector dented i think its from not pulling the h pipe on even. I switched to equal length bbk headers and a pace setter x pipe with 40 series and 3inch flowmaster tailpipes for a fox like urs and it sounds raspy and rowdy. just took my mufflers to an exhaust shop and had the outlet swelled to match the 3inch tailpipes and it fit perfect i also switched to the band clamps myself for the same reason. From your video and your car i think you would like it. I wish exhaust companies would do what you did thats helpful on making a decision on exhaust because thats as important as wheels to guys like us.
Thank you so much for the kind comments! I totally agree! If it's so loud it gives me a headache, I just don't enjoy that anymore LOL. Would love to hear a sound byte of your 3 inch flowmasters if there is one up somewhere!
All fox body 302 v8 sound great with flowmasters, 40's are the best sound in my mind
dam you cant ever beat the sound of a pair of flowmasters
Wow you guys are really really in-depth. I believe you guys set the standard for comparing sound pressure levels on different types of mufflers. Everyone needs to take notes from you all....great job and great presentation!
@@michaelblack2365 thank you so much!!!! Was thinking about doing a video comparing the 40s and the 44s. Would that be interesting to you?
I've got the 40's on my Chevelle. It's awesome to hear that rumble. I like the 40's.
I got a 04 5.4 Ford Lariat. Just installed aftermarket OEM exhaust except for the muffler. Dug through all of my street racing parts from way back in the day and found a true original 40 series Flowmaster from the late 80's or early 90's. Put it on my truck. WOW! Yeah it's loud and has a big drone to it...but I wouldn't have it any other way. Guess that's just that hot rodder stuff still pulsing through my veins.😎🤟🇺🇲
Love it!!!!! 👍👍😎
@ThisOldFarmShop Thanks my friend. 😎🍻
Thank you! Been looking for anything comparing the two types of FM 40s and 50s. Awesome and helpful video.
I know it’s a yr old, but thanks for the content. I also as I remember you purchasing promracing ecu/ harness. I love my setup. My car is so drivable compared to the eec4/ original wiring. Take care
Great video! Thanks for the content!
Another option which gives a more throaty sound, is the 50-series Big Block SUV. The dual-in/dual-out single muffler really knocks down on the annoying higher frequencies that make conversation hard, without holding back the lower frequencies.
Great video! Thanks for this. I will definitely go with 50s
Great video buddy!😃 Car sounds Awesome! 👍Very helpful and informative. Cheers
Thanks so much!!
Hard on the throttle, both were about the same. Im very impressed on how good a 50 sounds. Car sounds amazing
Thanks for the excellent comparison. Car looks and sounds great. I have a supercharged 5.4 3v F150 with shorty headers, no cats, a resonator, and Banks 3" single. The drone is obnoxiously loud, and its so clappy. I might have to try the 50 series.
I'm loving the 50s about 95% of the time. I do miss the 40s that 5% though 🤣🤣🤣
Great review I especially appreciated the side by side sound comparison
Really great video and I appreciate the DB meter. I know that road you on too. Made me chuckle. Thanks again.
Thank you! Lol 😅. That's funny! I guess we neighbors then!!
I love my 44's... Im glad i went and chose those!
I wonder how they compare to the 50s? Might be a good future video 🤣
Appreciate this video, mate. I've got a 2018 GT with a muffler delete (from the previous owner) and I'm looking at getting a pair of Flowmaster 50 Delta Flows. The car currently idles around 75-80 dB w/o mufflers (according to the free app I installed on my phone) which is loud but still within California's noise limits. Looks like the 50 Delta Flows should turn that down a little bit more.
The mufflers should help me be less obtrusive and avoid being pulled over, but California law also requires you to have mufflers to pass Smog, so I'm going to need a pair sooner or later. Appreciate the video!

I literally just did the exhaust on mine a week and a half ago, and had the same issue with the clamps.
Also, the hourglass dealio that you milled flattened the outside pipe of the lap joint on mine, causing a leak at every single clamp.
Great vid!
Many thanks.
You understand that the struggle is real lol 🤣😂. Thanks for watching!

What an awesome video you made man thanks alot dude . If possible please make one with flowmaster super 44
Just bought the 44s. Planning to start on the video this weekend LoL. Thanks!!
@ThisOldFarmShop wow thats awesome it would be great comparison between 3 of them

Awesome video! Thank you for such detail! I went with 44's I believe its right in the middle of your two...
Awesome! Thank you! Would love to hear a sound clip. 😎
Excellent video brother, made up my mind for me!
Great music and great editing. I left a reply on the other comment from earlier. Back in Fort Myers Florida… 94-95 was possibly the best street racing around… way out in East leecounty was two undeveloped areas… two separate strips “Sunni land” near Buckingham area and “blackstone” dammed near everyone was getting their Fox bodies work on by the “lethal injection” crew. Everyone ….almost everyone was running dumps with their flowmasters… no matter what series. It just sounded like heaven. And when people asked who is that?…. I would answer….
“it’s me”!!!!!!
Oh yeah! Back in the day, they couldn't be loud enough, and "too loud" was a four letter word! We spent every friday night at Farmington Dragway here in NC. My car racked up 40 or 50 miles on that 1/8 mile drag strip LOL 🤣😂🤣. I keep threatening to go back and give her another run. Maybe, one day soon :). Thanks for the comments!
Back almlst 20yrs ago, on my lincoln mark vii, which has a 302 5.0, i had what at the time flowmaster called the series 2. I still have them, just not installed. I actually had them on 3 cars, 2 mark vii's and a mustang. Always loved the sound of them, but they were a bit droney. Didnt give me a headache or annoying to drive, and i had them kick out behind the rear wheels instead of straight back.
Thank for documenting and posting this- exactly the kind of information that I was looking for!
Great job!👍🏻
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for the video. Love the way to match a new bolt hole with the drill bits n chaser.
Wow...excellent video..thanks man..those 50's are really nice..
Awesome video brother, thank you for taking the time:)
Man I wish I was as mechanically inclined as you are:(
Thanks for the kind comment! I not very good really, but I have a few friends that are master mechanics that I can call when I get stumped 🤣😂🤣
Great video man,i have 44s on my 91 with a Bassani catted Pipe, when on the highway at 70 the interior sounds is not loud at all and at idle but when taking off i hate the sound and been wanting to change that however i have a 347 to so that might be the source of that sound,i installed my own exhaust and I'm a older guy, after watching that installation on your video i was like "nope, that sound of mine is not that bad" lol , Ive been working on cars all my life but i hate messing with exhaust .
As i have gotten older i really have come to appreciate bolt on stuff and hate things where you have to improvise and customize, i have heard Magnaflows might be what i need, might have to check some videos out on that.
I just installed some 44s today and started making a video about them lol. I've tried magnaflows before and I really didn't like them. Gave it a slight rice burner sound... Exhaust work is not bad with a lift but is the worst if you're laying on your back lol. Thanks for watching!!
That's a good tip on the masonry bits. I'm gonna have to remember that one. 👍. I like the 50 series. Awesome comparison
Thank you for watching! I really like them!
Great video man. 50’s still sound amazing and took the edge off sound wise perfectly.
@@AFKustoms was thinking of switching them out for the super 44's... Probably wouldn't leave them on, but I'm curious how they would sound LoL 😂
Haha it’ll sound badass. Decibel wise I bet it’d be the same difference as the 40 to 50 comparison, except the other direction.
@kustomaf7606 yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Would hopefully make an awesome video though LoL
Excellent, comprehensive comparison. Thank you.
So the 50 is quieter … that’s what I needed to hear. Thanks bro! 🙏
Same here but trying to decide on the Delta 50 or the Super 50 for my GMC Sierra. I got 4 ladies to keep happy on our family trips.
This is a great video. If you're curious what a 500+ hp 332" stroker SBF sounds like with 2 1/2" Flowmaster 50 series and straight pipes, lol I have some videos.
Would love to see them! I just bought a set of super 44s to try on the car. Will put out a video on them LoL
Cool video, both sound really good! The 50 series sounds more throaty at idle, but the 40's will win every time. Nice Foxbody!🇺🇸🐺
I've used the Walker version of those clamps and have been very satisfied with them. A bit more expensive than the Summit brand, but no issues like the one you dealt with.
@@JonnyCrash will try to those next time 👍. Thanks for the tip!
The engine and pipe size makes all the difference in the world, my 95 5.0 is all of it's low hp stock glory, I have the original exhaust but the 4 cats are gutted and I finally removed the knockoff 10 series mufflers I put on so now I have no mufflers and the last 18" or so is 3" and it is pretty loud and it does sound pretty sexy but your car is easily louder with those 50s! I do have very little drone. My pickup has a 355 in the 350hp area with long tubes 3" pipe and turn down dumps at the axle and I ran original 40s for years and it just got so old just loud! I ended up tossing some cheap cherry bomb turbos on it and it is way quieter but still pretty loud, but it's a deep loud. But back when it had the 40s my truck idling drowned out a buddy's Chevelle that had a tired 350 and dual 2.25 exhaust with original 40s, with my truck idling you couldn't hear that Chevelle even running. Engine and pipe size! BTW you fox is pretty sick, love the sound with both, nice idle too...
Thanks for the kind comments! It hard to beat the sound of those 40s, just too loud for my now half century old ears 🤣😂🤣
this video deserves more likes
Really good video. Ty
i did the same thing. the 50's seemed slightly deeper tone at idle and just above. the drone on the hwy is gone. WOT was nearly the same which was fine for me. 👍
Awsome video, very well done.
Thank you!!
Great video! I have always loved 40's, but those 50's seem to have a little beefier, meaner sound.
I do miss the idle of the 40s, but I sure don't miss the drone 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching!
50 series is great for cruising and highway speeds, however if you want to be heard a block away before pulling up to a local car show it’s not the one I have the 50’s btw.
Agreed!!
Have the Original 40 series on my 2007 GMC Sierra classic its loud on cold start and when I hit 70mph
Great video brother👍
I got my foxbody when i was 20. The stock exhaust was the first thing to go. I have mac shorty headers, a bassini X pipe and 3 chamber flowmasters. I love the sound but now im 50 and I dont enjoy all the things I did at 20. I would really love to make the car a little quiter. My back doesn't like the stiffer springs and or the polygraphite bushings either. 😅😂
Amen brother!! I totally get where you're coming from. 🤣😂🤣
I have used both and the 40's just are obnoxious on long drives. I loved the 50's on my 327 C10 truck.... perfect
Thanks for watching! I love the 50s, haven't worn ear plugs since installing them 🤣😂
Next time you have a stud/bolt break off like that, weld a nut that is a size larger to what is left there, I have never had that not work to get even the nastiest bolts
Love the original 40s Have them on my 97 stang gt. But those 50s sound good !
Great video, thanks
Great video, very scientific with the decibel meter and nice job documenting the install. Subscribed
Thank you!!!
Very helpful 🙏
Looks like I might hafta get some of these. I’ve got super 40’s and I love the sound but they drone. I bet the 50’s will be a great middle ground. Still have the Flowmaster tone and reduce the interior drone
@@DirtyDanMunicipalMan it's been over a year now and I'm still pleased with them 👍👍.
I just the two 40 series Delta Flow on my dual exhaust Bronco and think they're a little mellower than the original 40 series.
Great Vid! Liked and subscribed Hey, I have a 2007 Ford Explorer 4.6 V8 I am wanting one Flowmaster Muffler to replace the Stock one. Which one would you recommend for it? Would like it to sound good but still be able to talk in the cab? Thanks!
Hard to say since I don't have any experience with the explorer or 4.6... that being said, I really like the two-chamber American thunders on a stock mustang. With catalytic converters and full exhaust they really weren't that bad. I would say if you want a pretty aggressive sound for a stock motor then that's the way to go. If you want a pretty muted sound on the stock motor then the flowmaster 50 series probably wouldn't be too much louder than stock. All that is just me guessing, I don't really know. 😂🥰👍
@@ThisOldFarmShop Thanks, for the reply!! Appreciate it
What's the part number for the original flowmaster?
I don't have it available to look at right now, but they are American thunder 2 chambers from 1994 👍. Let me know if you need more information about them and I'll get them out of storage.
Greetings. That was a very informative video. The drone will definitely give you a headache at certain RPM. I had a MAC off-road H-pipe, MAC shorty with 2 1/2 in exhaust with 40 series (drone). I tried an X-pipe with high flow cats (too quiet) and finally settled on a BBK shorty, MAC Pro-chamber (no drone, nice sound) but the off-road H-pipe sounded the best. I might go with your new setup or try to find some MAC Flowpath mufflers. MAC has gone out of business though. I have 3.73 gears. Thanks!
If I ever buy another Mustang to replace my 87, I'll be probably go with a Flowmaster exhaust. In an effort to keep drone to a minimum, I'll use an off road x-pipe (they drone less than H in my experience) and Flowmaster 50 Series HD mufflers (the highest flowing 50 series, according to Flowmaster). I like the Flowmaster sound with the 302 but I want the more grown-up sound of the 50 series.
Also if I buy one, I'm going to build a 347 stroker so it has plenty of power to back up the sound. Want to be able to dust brand new Mustang GTs.
Sounds like a good plan! 👍👍👍
@@ThisOldFarmShop Which 50 series is on your car? I must have missed when you said or showed it. Is it the Super 50 or Delta 50? If I remember correctly, the Super 50 is the biggest one, made mostly for trucks.
@AdmiralRustyShackleford Deltas 👍👍
I just ordered flowmaster 50 series delta from Amazon for my honda city gm6 4 cylinder. Do you think im wrong to pick 50 series for my honda city? I want to increase the torque and engine efficiency of my honda city. Thank you for your reply.
I think they will definitely flow better than stock, so should increase power and mpg. Should tame the raspiness of a 4 cylinder better than the 40's as well, I would think. Let us know how it turns out! I'm curious :)
It’s gonna sound like crap. I’ve never heard anything other than a V8 sound good with Flowmasters. As for HP you might gain 1-3hp. A 1.5L engine doesn’t need 2.5” pipes and a Flowmaster muffler to breathe. Unless your vehicle is modified extensively, it’s just gonna make it loud and obnoxious with no benefit whatsoever.
Any power difference between the 40's and 50 series ? Great comparison video 👍
I can't tell any difference using the ever trusted seat of the pants method lol. The 50s are supposed to flow better according to the literature, but I can't tell any difference. Thanks for watching!!
Your delta flow 50's look like they left a lot of room for your wider diameter aluminum driveshaft. Did you have issues with the space for shaft before you fabricated your hangars that hung on the tranny mounted ex hangar?
the 50's look to be tucked as for forward as possible - I'm concerned about the hardlines running down the right side being too close to the exhaust and boiling the fluids in the line - any advice?
@@89gtsmoke I didn't have any issues with the aluminum driveshaft as far as clearance goes. When the car is on the ground, the driveshaft is much higher in the tunnel and out of the way. I did put some high temp hose over the brake lines that were close to the mufflers, just because it seemed the right thing to do. Haven't had any issues so far! Thanks for reaching out!
A silly question, but would these mufflers on stock h pipe and stock motor be quieter?
Yes they would. You would probably be disappointed at how quiet they would be...
How'd the silicone work out in eliminating the exhaust leaks? I've got the same issue and if it worked I'll give it a try. Great vid, thanks.
It actually worked great!! No more leaking! 👍 Thanks for watching!!
What size exhaust, 2.5 or 3 inch? Do you recommend the summit clamps? I got a NA 408 going into my 89 notch and full 3 inch ss from the Kooks headers to a x pipe, then delta 50s end it with the Black tails from Pypes.
@@rudicuevas809 I bet that 3 inch ss will sound amazing!! The summit clamps I got are good if you are willing to modify them slightly 👍👍. I would say stay with the 3 inch. Would love to hear a clip of it when you get it finished!
Will send a clip when finished
Really thankful, got the info I was looking for. 👌🏽
I'm looking for a really quiet muffler for a sleeper vehicle. Doesn't seem like this will do the trick like i thought they would. A little quieter but not really that much. Maybe magnaflow?
Yeah, I would say the 50s would be too loud for a sleeper. Not sure what direction you should go, but I do know Flowmaster makes some quieter mufflers...
Take a look at Gibson for a quieter sound.
They both sound very good. I was surprised how well the 50's sounded. I thought they would clamp things down too much.
I do miss that rumble at idle, but I don't miss the headache and it still sounds great when accelerating! Thanks!
Thank you for a well done video that is sure to help some people come to a decision.
OK wow the 50s sound fuckn really nice huh never thought that !
I still love the 50s!, but will be putting out a video comparison of the 40s vs the 44s soon lol
Awesome car! Can you give some of motor mods and rear gear set up? Thanks for the videos!!
Thank you! Heres a short list of parts: 351 block, AFR 205 heads, Bigdogs stage 2 ported cobra intake, Anderson power pipe, 80mm mass air, 75mm throttle body, comp cams xfi 236/248 cam, 351 conversion bbk shorty headers, pro-m efi computer, 2.5" full exhaust, A/C, tkx transmission, 3.55 rear gears, stock rear end and axles.
i wish someone would do a video on muffler placement and what the changes in tone are. Placement as in closer or further from the engine or before and after the axle. seems like the newer (as in 05+) mustangs are more aggressive tone they have the mufflers after the rear axle. I wonder if that's the reasoning but haven't seen a video on it.
That is a very interesting idea! I'm sure it would make a difference as to where to place them. I would think more throaty the closer the muffler is to the rear, but that's just a guess. Without some gas tank mods, I'm not sure you could fit a muffler after the axle on a fox body, but there's probably someone out there that has done it!
You're my hero!...lol. Seriously tho, awesome video!! I really really appreciate the time and effort involved

Thanks for the video! My 95 cobra came with shorty headers off-road x-pipe with borla catback. Having fun with it but going to want something quieter in the long run that. 50 series?
Hey Keith! Thanks for watching! I'm not sure about the 50's vs. your borlas... I have however heard others say that the x pipe is slightly quieter than it's h pipe cousin so that should be helping you a little... Do you know if there is any packing or chambers in the borlas you have now?
@@ThisOldFarmShop thank you! it is a nice quality system and doesn't drone or leak but getting older and wanting something more quiet at low rpm not wake the neighbors at 6am. I also want to run a panhard bar and flowmaster catback kit is supposed to work with the maximum motorsports panhard kit. Here is what it says on how it is made:
BORLA® mufflers, on the other hand, contain high quality, continuous strand fiber bundle which is superior to the loose fiberglass packing in glasspack mufflers. This high quality packing material and stainless steel inner core construction, which is impervious to all corrosive acids, protects the packing from breaking down and getting blown out, so a BORLA® muffler never needs replacing. In addition, a BORLA® muffler is the most effective sound-absorbing device for the size, and it is guaranteed for one million miles.
I know borla makes a quality product! One thought is maybe get a cheap decibel meter and run the same tests I did against your current setup. That might give you an idea of how the 50's will stack up against the borlas.
@@ThisOldFarmShop good idea thanks
Simple: bigger box - lower sound
Not exactly... The 50s use hiemholtz resonance chambers to cancel certain frequencies. Thanks for the comment!
What cam are you running in your car?

Yeah but here’s the thing they make 40 series Delta flow Delta flow means there’s no interior drone I know cause I had them on my Mustang
Maybe I'll buy some and test it out 👍

The foxbody is how flowmaster got famous!!
Yessir!!! 👍👍
Its funny back in the 90s they were called 2 chamber (crazy drone) and 3 chamber (much more tolerable) , now its 40 and 50 series. I think the old name gives you a better idea of the difference.
Remember the 1 chamber muffler? Heard a fox body with those one time. Super dooper drone 😂😂😂
SOUND DEPENDS ON TYPE OF CAR. I LIKE ,40s
Is this with cats or without
Without
Great video! I love the old school 40 series sound, but went with the 50's for all the same reasons you did. The interior drone is just too much with the 40's and when you lay into the throttle the 50's sound just as good if not better.
I totally agree! Thanks for watching!
👍🏼Thanks
I would imagine if you still had the cats installed it would sound totally different
Oh for sure!! Would cut the sound tremendously 👍, but what fun is that 😂
With the top down Ill keep the 40s. But with the top up and no blockage from normal components, I am already deaf from years of driving a truck.
Milling them clamps down created a leak. Those types of clamps leak a tad anyway, and doing that made it much worse in sure.
Huh oh. Did you try it and get a leak? Mine seem to be pretty good. I inspected the exhaust with it running on the lift. 👍
Very detailed. Bro your fuckin Awesome 😎👍
Thank you!!! 😊😊
Definitely a fitty fan.
Pretty strong
Flowmasters have been reducing exhaust cfm flow for decades. We've done flow testing and dyno testing on them and after a certain point they absolutely kill HP. David Vizard also said the same thing about the Flowmasters years ago.
Good video though.
I remember seeing one of your videos about that a while back. Have you had a chance to test the new flowmaster delta flow mufflers which are "supposed" to flow better? Thanks!
Depends on what setup you have, if you're running headers and no cats on a 10-11 compression ratio motor some backpressure will help hp numbers
@@ThisOldFarmShop we actually have a set of the new deltas in the show. We are gathering various mufflers together to do a big cfm flow test. Flowmaster realized word had gotten around in the LS world that their mufflers were robbing hp. Guys were reporting 20-40whp losses!!
@@79cobra13 that's absolutely not true. Any Exhaust back pressure adds resistance to the piston which decreases hp.
I wish people stop spreading that false information
@@bigdogsportingtonyb2833 looking forward to your video on it!!
You have any sound deadening like boom matt or dynamat?
No 😥
Sounds like it changed octaves more than anything. Went from a low C to a low B.
Copper rtv is the shit lol. Ive fixed many exhaust leaks even on turbo to manifold leaks with that stuff. Of course in that scenario a smear will do ya. Mainly its welded v band connections from whatever manufacturer that arent just perfect
