    THIS IS A RE-UPLOAD! Since UA-cams new changes some of my videos were deemed not suitable for all advertisers and were either limited with monetization or simply demonetized. After requesting manual reviews and talking with creator support nobody could tell me why they were limited or totally demonetized and there's nothing in these videos that violates UA-cam community guidelines that I could see. So I'm doing a little trial and error to see if I change the title, descriptions and tags if it will solve the problem?

    All of a sudden got really hungry. That looks incredible. Always wanted to learn to smoke meats, and your video is the easiest to understand. I think I'll try this weekend. I went to culinary school about a decade ago and lost interest after graduating (from doing it professionally). Although I do remember a lot, the smoking class totally is a loss for me. Thank you for such a direct and concise instructional video. I'm excited to try it out this weekend.

    But I also really enjoy your older cooking videos and your budget meal series.... I would absolutely love to see more cooking vidoes! Your homemade spam recipe has been an absolute God-send!

    The original upload of this video inspired me to buy a WSM. Lucked into a great sale on the 22.5" version, it's way bigger than needed for personal use, you can fit an obscene amount of food in it. The 18" would have been plenty big, but it's still a great smoker.

    My dad made a cold smoke-oven from an old fridge. Well you can only use it during fall and winter but the meat it makes is just fantastic. You can turn a 10€/kg slab of beef to taste like slices of smoky heaven (works for game too). A potato based soup made from the cold smoked meat scraps is even better than the meat itself :3

    It's great to see you back doing another cooking video! Totally understandable, but just the same I still watch the old cooking videos, I've learned a lot from them over the years. I've been looking at getting an 22 inch WSM, or a pit barrel smoker. I've tried doing a pork butt on my Weber Kettle, and it can be done, but I definitely like the idea of using a vertical smoker or an offset pellet/wood burner instead for the longer cook time.

    • @sparkyjones560
      @sparkyjones560 6 років тому

      Allen Hook it's a technique for smoking meats like "the snake method" and others. For smoking meats you need lower temp. By doing it this way the coals don't all catch at once which gives you a lower cooking temp, and a longer time for all the coals to burn up.
      If you are straight up barbecuing or grilling you'd want all the coals lit at once to achieve the above 400 temps. I hope this makes sense how I explained it.

    That looks delicious "Mr Pit". I'd like to see you do a smoking video with beef and make your own Vegemite rub. You could make a good one out of sweet paprika, Vegemite and some powdered beef stock (you be the judge of the ratios), mix all together and rub it over the beef and smoke it. Cheers from an Aussie woman married to an American that loves his BBQ smoker.
