The canned "Comfort Creek Dumplings and Chicken" kept me alive for two weeks when I was broke and deathly ill with the flu this winter. Dollar tree sells these awesome, single-ingredient, freeze-dried bananas. Makes for a great healthy snack. Also, their almond milk in the tetra pak is great. Its ingredient list is pretty much the same as the Almond Breeze brand, which makes me wonder if it is actually made by the same company.
"The meat was like chewing on a moist mattress in a nursing home. Not appetizing at all." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I'm dying!! This is comedic commentary right here. I feel sorry for your guts, but man this is great.
was heading out to the nursing home to chew on a moist nursing home mattress when I came across this video THANKS for the heads up stopped at dollar tree instead.
A very good example of why you should buy real food and make it yourself. Real food tastes good. Over processed doesn't. Try to save money but don't try to save time when it comes to food.
Simply untrue. Dollar tree can actually be more expensive in many cases when you're trying to buy food. Further by buying raw ingredients yourself from a supermarket and actually cooking them up can save you money. Dollar tree is decent in a pinch, but you shouldn't do your primary food shopping there.
The dollar tree has fed my family many times. You can actually make a decent ghulash using pork sausage with stewed tomatoes and the garlic bread from there is amazing.
This channel is awesome, especially now with grocery prices soaring. I especially like how the meals are all quite balanced! Thank You Mr.Wolfe! Also teaching actually not just exact recipies, but how to use your imagination, and what you have around.
Well Larry thanks for steering me away from the bacon wrapped beef steaks. You are a very brave man for trying all of these suspect foods. Looks like at the end you settled for home cooking. Hey a dozen eggs for a dollar, amazing.
I think your channel is my favorite, real, home made channel, that never infringes copyright, teaches me, makes me smile..Larry, you are simply great! THANK YOU! I look forward to your vids like I did new tv shows as a kid! Love to you and yours!
The fact that you go over these ingredients is amazing. I never realized how many shit ingredients go into meals like this until you came along. Now I notice everything.
We got the 99 cent stores here also ... They are helping me thru being disabled / out of work waiting for something to change ...should be getting surgery in june and back to normal
Right there with you my friend, broke my knee, waiting to heal with very little cash so its basically cheap survival food to fill the void&get by until life becomes normal again.....good luck!
I definitely didn't eat a lot of the stuff from dollar tree but there were some things that I really liked: The grilled chicken burger The pomegranate lemonade The four cheese and supreme personal pizza The key lime, & cookies and cream frozen pie Their tilapia The dozen eggs (some locations sell 18 in a pack) Almost most of their frozen vegetables Most of their spices and condiments
Nah, that chit is majorly poisoned.. Just look up many of the ingredients that make it up... Quite frankly, most of our food has been poisoned, but some more than others. Pick your poisons!!

I am disabled. I'm pleased dollar tree has microwavable foods and accepts EBT aka food stamps. If you aren't able to cook for yourself, go shopping, or out to eat that food becomes really good when you're hungry. It's nice you can cook, but try not to make it seem so bad. I am not the only one who needs affordable food that I can prepare for themself. If you're hungry, & in need you appreciate not going hungry.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I didn't think of it that way and I couldn't agree more. Going hungry for a day shouldn't be an option. So store like these do help.
I agree. I don't like this high and mighty attitude of the video. I bet he goes to McDonald's and Wendy's anyway which is worse. Dollar tree has perfectly good frozen food. I dissagree with the video. If you're starving, low income, or want to cook, they got plenty to cook fast too.
I had some of those foods. Nothing wrong with them. They do taste better when you make it on your own. $1 come on, not going to get 5 star restaurant quality.

@Anne Hedonia I live in a small farming community in Washington state, and our town has one grocery store "Safeways" and we finally got a dollar tree, it has name brand items! colgate toothpaste, imperial margerine, dial soap, degree deodorant, dawn dish soap, skippy, campbells soup, starkist tuna,,,,,I dont know why people gripe about it so much?? we have absolutely no Aldi's, no whole foods, no bent and dent, nothing, not even in the big town 25 miles away.
Great wrap-up for 2017, and you lived to tell it, for us, THE PEOPLE! The only frozen things I get at the Dollar Tree are the spring rolls (very good) and occasionally, the veggie patties.
One time I bought sliced cheese from the dollar tree (hey don't judge times were hard 😟😁) I put it in the microwave on top of my burger y'all the damn cheese didnt even melt 😔😫😤😬😮it just curled up..well I won't be buying food from dt again as long as I can help it. But I like dollar tree for other things 💁😁
That cheese is basically oil and coffee creamer. They do got real cheese it is pepper jack or white cheddar 6 ounce piece I think. The sliced or shredded is fake.
I truly am sorry for how much TVP and damn near toxic food you had to sift through to find the few actual decent or even edible ones! Thanks for the Great content and a wonderful 2017! Can't wait to see what's in store for 2018...keep it up!
As an asian person, growing up my parents would buy this type of food sometimes and I thought it was the best stuff ever! Especially the snapps products
Never buy cheese from there either! I made that mistake a few years ago. I didn't want to wait in a long line at the grocery store, so I went into the Dollar Tree. THE CHEESE DOES NOT MELT! I will NEVER make that mistake again.
I'm still trying to figure out what people think they're going to get for $1, lol. Surely people aren't expecting top quality 'food'. This video has probably saved a lot of people a few dollars, some time and stomach aches, lol The fewer the ingredients ( and fillers), the better the food in most cases
As a college student living in a dorm (no stove or oven) sometimes when things are tight it's a choice between cheap processed food or nothing at all. I generally try to do things as fresh as possible but sometimes it's just not an option. I found his review very useful.
Low prices doesn't need to me low quality. You can make yourself some nice stews and such for a couple dollars but not everyone has to luxury to even have a place to make their own food and are stuck with these over processed foods
you don't need to spend alot to be healthy, just keep it simple stay away from myths of 8 glesses of water and the 3 to 4 meals a day, one meal or two is sufficient problem is the processed foods increase unhealthy cravings, i like to keep meals quick to make but also healthy, this includes making my own bread, that i make less than a hour, using baking soda and acv to rise the dough or paratha that i make with compact stove plate oven all glory, honor, thanks and praise to the MOST HIGH
I like how he’s always so upbeat. Hard to be in a bad mood and listen to this guy, plus I like to try the Dollar Tree food so the vids are also helpful.
Marisa......I've turned into a snob eating the Belgian Milk Chocolate Aldi has. That is my benchmark. Other name brand chocolate seems gritty or just plain. I like some of the unusual stuff they occasionally have. I'll buy something, try it in the parking lot, go back in and get more. :)
I take microwaveable sandwiches apart, toast the bread part in the toaster or toaster oven, and nuke the meat separately. It comes out much better that way, the bread doesn't end up chewy or soggy. Thanks for your critique of these foods. I've tried some of them, and pretty much agree. I like to pour the Southgate chili onto rice, and make a filling, tasty meal.
I totally lost it with the remark “chewing on a damp mattress from a nursing home.” What kind of mind comes up with that? Even though I am probably older than most nursing home residents I found the remark hysterical and I absolutely love you!
They put fillers in their pepperoni. Sadly, most frozen pizzas do. I won't eat mechanically separated things. Sometimes the store brand has real pepperoni depending on where you go.
As an unemployed homeless man with a food stamp card to survive on, I can't really eat like I would want but this video helped me with opening my eyes to cheap options that allow me to stretch out my allowance. Thanks
I miss the chocolate covered gramcrackers with peanut butter filling. Dollar tree and 99 cent only store stopped carrying the peanut butter filled ones. Man those was so delicious.
Here in Canada they just brought in dollar tree but the frozen foods haven't caught in because of health regulations I believe lol. I'll stick with our Canadian dollarama which is actually decent.
Those spring rolls are the bomb! Love to get them. Also, the Snapps brand deep Fried green beans are delicious. Bake up nice and crispy. I make a creamy Asian dipping sauce for them and my family goes to town!
Jean I know you mean well but even if the sales of palm oil goes down it will just be replaced or used for something else. Changes need to be made in the country were it is produced.
Jean If they are willing to burn down forests for palm trees what's stopping them from burning down forest for any other crop or livestock? Palm oil is just what's most profitable atm.
You are right , it is up to them to change but maybe it is helping to say it is not cool . that said I also have my morning nutella bread spread from times to times LOL
Honestly the eggs from dollar tree are no different than your regular ones from Walmart and any other grocery store, affordable and good if you’re on a tight budget
I haven't eaten meat or chicken or anything with it in most of my life but I do eat fish. The pretty natural spring rolls looked good and the pretty natural mushrooms. I love those spring rolls! My local Dollar tree only stocks them once in a blue moon so on the occasion I see them I stock up! Really tasty, if not a bit too greasy.
I appreciate the effort for sure but I would never have needed a review to avoid buying any food at this place. Thank god I can enjoy the reasons on youtube at a safe distance!

Dollar tree actually does have some good shit not gonna lie
chips(wise)cheetos bought all
@@judahtribe7 the wise dill pickle chips are my fave
Dollar tree sells these awesome, single-ingredient, freeze-dried bananas. Makes for a great healthy snack. Also, their almond milk in the tetra pak is great. Its ingredient list is pretty much the same as the Almond Breeze brand, which makes me wonder if it is actually made by the same company.
Not anything you have to cook
@@judahtribe7 ..u got all the toilet paper too~
Love the brutal honesty on this stuff, great job as always!
If you have gone to prison or jail any of these would be like a 5 star restaurant.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I'm dying!! This is comedic commentary right here.
I feel sorry for your guts, but man this is great.
that line made me sick. I hate even the smell of nursing homes

was heading out to the nursing home to chew on a moist nursing home mattress when I came across this video THANKS for the heads up stopped at dollar tree instead.

“Rat turd size pieces of sausage” 😂 you’re a riot!
As one of The People, I thank and salute you. Your hard work is very much appreciated.
A very good example of why you should buy real food and make it yourself. Real food tastes good. Over processed doesn't. Try to save money but don't try to save time when it comes to food.
wpl has
wpl most of our food comes from the Dallor tree it's all we can afford.
Virginia Babiash Not just THAT'S what's affordable it's what I can manage to make without assistance. It beats the HELL outta going hungry!
Agree make your own.
I always enjoy watching this channel despite the lack of polish but you are just so nice to listen to with your enthusiasm
The dollar tree has fed my family many times. You can actually make a decent ghulash using pork sausage with stewed tomatoes and the garlic bread from there is amazing.
Dollar Tree's stock is almost $100/share. They're doing something right.
Hey, I even see their products at the Goodwill... For $3.00
There isn’t a high volume which greatly contributes to its price

Where do you live that they sell half gallons of milk at Dollar Tree? I'm lucky if my Dollar Tree has the little cartons for a dollar.
This channel is awesome, especially now with grocery prices soaring. I especially like how the meals are all quite balanced! Thank You Mr.Wolfe! Also teaching actually not just exact recipies, but how to use your imagination, and what you have around.
I really like the Jamaican spicy beef patties

Yes!
I'm sold on your channel just on the basis that I've hardly seen _anyone_ review dollar food.
Your editing takes something so mundane and makes it fascinating to watch. It's like a trailer park version of How It's Made
Trailer park version of how it's made! CLASSIC!
It's like chewing on a moist mattress in a nursing home! I think I just about fell off my chair laughing at that one.
Much luck and speedy recovery to you both. Suggestion? If there is one near you, Aldi is a very good choice for price and quality. Best wishes.

@@bettye444 Yeah, We had them in Vegas ...all the fresh fruit and produce was amazing
I definitely didn't eat a lot of the stuff from dollar tree but there were some things that I really liked:
The grilled chicken burger
The pomegranate lemonade
The four cheese and supreme personal pizza
The key lime, & cookies and cream frozen pie
Their tilapia
The dozen eggs (some locations sell 18 in a pack)
Almost most of their frozen vegetables
Most of their spices and condiments
How are you still alive from eating all of this
Nathan Skeen because it’s still actual food not poison???

Jo LAKE I agree, I eat the stuff I buy at Dollar Tree.
I eat Perdue chicken
Can you really buy a 'nice steak' for just $3?
Love you man. Saved our pocketbooks. Add their store brand cereals to the inedible list !
You are brave for doing this
If I’m ever in a pinch, I stop by at my aunt’s place. She always is willing to give away homemade leftovers 😂
Their ginger snaps by lil Dutch maid are amazing and they give you so much and taste better than the over priced superstores.
I had some of those foods. Nothing wrong with them. They do taste better when you make it on your own. $1 come on, not going to get 5 star restaurant quality.
I fed my family of 4 with 3 bucks! Spaghetti sauce, sausage, and spaghetti noodles.
Gotta do what ya gotta do.
At least they didn't go to bed hungry.
Try Big Lots...Good low prices $1.25 for 3 pound package spaghetti $1.25 jar of spaghetti meat sauce...& $1.89 gal. milk... That's a real meal with milk, for less than four bucks ...Often in the same shopping lot...

We have all the major grocery stores and I stilllll love the dollar store!!
“Five rat turd size” that took my breath right out of my chest 😂😂😂😂
I remember i went to the dollar tree one time came out with 5 fast bite sausage and cheese biscuit ate almost all of it in 1 day they were that good

That cheese is basically oil and coffee creamer. They do got real cheese it is pepper jack or white cheddar 6 ounce piece I think. The sliced or shredded is fake.

As an asian person, growing up my parents would buy this type of food sometimes and I thought it was the best stuff ever! Especially the snapps products
Lesson learned. NEVER BUY MEAT FROM THE DOLLAR STORE
The rib eyes are good. Alittle grill seasoning or with an egg is how I make them. The feta and the veggies and fries are good.
Never buy cheese from there either! I made that mistake a few years ago. I didn't want to wait in a long line at the grocery store, so I went into the Dollar Tree. THE CHEESE DOES NOT MELT! I will NEVER make that mistake again.
Always get advice from TheWolfePit
I think you meant to type "MEAT" (you forgot the " " )
I didn't think you needed to be told to not buy meat from a store with the word dollar in it
I'm still trying to figure out what people think they're going to get for $1, lol.
You can make yourself some nice stews and such for a couple dollars but not everyone has to luxury to even have a place to make their own food and are stuck with these over processed foods
jssangel416 right
I've thought about it out of sheer disgusting curiosity. This guy is insane doing this haha, he's got my sub and likes.
you don't need to spend alot to be healthy, just keep it simple stay away from myths of 8 glesses of water and the 3 to 4 meals a day, one meal or two is sufficient problem is the processed foods increase unhealthy cravings, i like to keep meals quick to make but also healthy, this includes making my own bread, that i make less than a hour, using baking soda and acv to rise the dough or paratha that i make with compact stove plate oven
all glory, honor, thanks and praise to the MOST HIGH

It was rice and if was meat, it would be spelled meat, not meet.
Those spring rolls looked so good. Thank you for all your hard work and for making us laugh. You are such a comedian!
I only buy snacks from the dollar store before I go to the movies, other than that, I wouldn’t buy food from there. The cheapest I’ll go is Aldis
Aldis food products are way better than the dollar tree lol. Sav a lots good to, I don't know if you have one where you live.
Marisa D I buy all my snacks at DT too. I can't rationalize paying almost $5 for a bag of chips anymore. Nope, can't do it.
I go and get my munchies there.. Oh yeah and little toys for me and my nephew
Marisa I like Aldi. They have pretty good food. :) I usually just get snacks at the dollar store as well.
As a college student, this is surprisingly helpful.
Of course Red Baron is good, it's a known name brand XD That was playing it safe lol
Thanks

Gotta say those spring rolls look divine, especially when compared to every other chemical concoction you had to endure LOL.

The problem is the good stuff you'll never get again. They get it once and you can never find it a second time.
I miss the chocolate covered gramcrackers with peanut butter filling. Dollar tree and 99 cent only store stopped carrying the peanut butter filled ones. Man those was so delicious.
David Kennedy YES !!! Like their nachos
Me and my niece like the spring rolls..dollar tree helped my sister feed her daughter without hurting her wallet
Here in Canada they just brought in dollar tree but the frozen foods haven't caught in because of health regulations I believe lol. I'll stick with our Canadian dollarama which is actually decent.
It is not decent in Quebec
Those spring rolls are the bomb! Love to get them. Also, the Snapps brand deep Fried green beans are delicious. Bake up nice and crispy. I make a creamy Asian dipping sauce for them and my family goes to town!
