. These antique vehicles have been sitting in the trees for decades. I saved them from the scrap, so even if they just become art, at least they didn't go straight to the shredder.

The "Doodlebug" appeared to be an aircraft / ground equipment tug. Maybe powered by a slant six, but who knows? could be anything!
Yes it is. That one looks like an older one with a flat head in it.
Luggage buggy
Flathead. Most likely a Continental.
I loved how you unloaded the cement slabs off that International flatbed. Work smart, not hard.
I enjoyed the time lapse of the trucks being loaded, reminded me of my childhood years playing with my old cars and trucks.
I love them old building's made out of rock's. I would like to make one now.
What we on the other side of the screen dont see is you have a family as well as a job and how you keep on top of it all is a wonder. No one could say you're lazy. You are a good hard worker and not bad at throwing videos together as well. .
He can do other type of work instead of erasing history !!😡
Very nice buys Silas, I absolutely love old cars and trucks so you did great in my opinion!!
Great video!!
I love going to the auctions so thanks for taking us along.
It's amazing how much stuff some people have laying about the place!
Don't know, . . or care why, . . but I really like you're auction runs! Thanks!
Love how they had to cut the trees down to find trucks
I believe that you are going to do well with the day, you have the knowledge of what is good and what is not.
Great content! I love auctions and old trucks.
As always...love these farm cleanup and auction uploads !!! Hopefully all is well Silas... keep up the good work bud !!!!
The car i liked most in that auction was the little old Studebaker .
What a time kapsel and looking good all over .
One in a hundred Studebaker .
All the cars in that line was looking rater good .
.....time capsule......learn to spell - otherwise, you look like a fool......
That loader helps out big time and the only draw back is hauling it to and from everything you need it for.
Looks like you made a lot of friends , loading stuff up for other people. 😊
That was all my stuff that I loaded actually
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch Pity there's no scrap value in tires at these places unless they have rims in them .Terrible waste of rubber.
I know this is your life and your income , But I am proud of you . Every thing about this video is rewarding to all of Us that like old iron! . Excellent work.
Silas,
I agree on the stone buildings. So cool, I'm always amazed how pretty the area of these old farm steds. My favorite was the yellow boom/service truck.
Silas, I liked before I watched it. You are a good dude that I hope to meet one day
thanks for sharing the prices, its nice to see what the sold for!!!!
Great video. I don’t get to go to auctions and mess with old junk very often anymore. Great memories of going to auctions like this with my Dad. Makes me feel like I’m there.
U really are not missing anything anymore. Most of the new owners or family members pick out anything worth anything and the stuff that is worth something now days sells for too much. The other opinion I hold by personal experiences is antiques that were antiques even just 20 years ago are in really rough shape these days and partly because alotta ppl lose their own value in the stuff and don't maintain it. A friend just recently dragged me to a place where an old widow was selling stuff on her own and thought an old 70s Dodge pickup that was on its way out was worth $3,500 from what guys like my nitwit pal were feeding her was dreams of grandjure. What could have been something really worth cash was a 69 Fairlane with a 289 in it that motor was in really nice shape but that car was also left outside 4 ever and it was really rusted and it didn't have a straight piece or panel on it. The car looked like some drunk played bumper cars with it daily for the last 50 some years. She wanted 2K for that. I just told em I am really broke which I am thru medical bills but thank god I still have my brains and will to resist having friends swindle me... Just my opinion ok...
I enjoying the video keep me entertained up here in Canada 🇨🇦
Always nice to see the old trucks and cars
Thanks for sharing
Wow. Just came across this channel. Reminds me going to auctions from the 70s and 80s with my Dad..🙂
You found yourself in adventure here at this sale.
I like the 64 Bellaire because I got stripped out hull of a two-door hardtop 64 Impala
But that was nice enough to keep as it is. You're the machine you just keep going and going.
* I believe Paul Cochran got it right in his comment. The Doodlebug is a 1940's vintage Airport Tug . Was the first thing I thought when I saw it too.
You may see a bunch of rust heaps, but up here in western Canada, if you find a truck from even the 90s with the fenders and floorboards intact its going for 7000 plus. I have half a mind to come down there myself just to get some of those
Wow 😁👍
Very cool!!!!!!! 👍👍
I think that '64 Chev Belair sedan was the best buy! I hope that it gets to stay a neat 64 sedan!
Wow all these vehicles are awesome. Well most of them.
Definitely hoarding
That Chevy is worth fixing up and restoring it
Always amazed at how people would rather leave stuff to rot away than sell it.
Most all of these vehicles ( except for a couple of the cars ) were just used-up farm equipment. During the time that this stuff sat out at that farm stead, nobody
gave much thought to it or found it desirable. Silas has found his own niche and found buyers for the art aspect. The whole idea of trying to restore or refurbish
this used-up equipment is a relatively new idea. The old farmers kept old equipment in hopes of finding a use for it at a later time.
@@urbanurchin5930 It seems that when their trucks were no longer roadworthy, the farmers would still keep them and use them just on the farm.
There's always been a market for scrap iron. This guy chose to let it rot away.
Farmers all over the world usually don't give away anything in their lifetime. They hoard and let rot away a lot of value.
@@Chr.U.Cas1622 yup for sure, they must be so rich, they dont need the money!!lol.alwasy got to wait until they die!!!
Great job on saving those cool vintage vehicles Silas. I have a soft spot for vintage International trucks like the one at 2:40 and the two tone white over blue 4dr crew cab at 27:50.
I've noticed that Binder trucks have skyrocketed in the past 2years!
Limestone: fence posts in western KS are made of long blocks of it. Buildings made of limestone blocks were much cheaper, but more work quarrying and shaping the blocks. But they lasted a lot longer than wood ones.
I really like the 54 Chevy truck cab. I had a 54 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up truck. I have always been told the 1/2 ton front end was smaller than the bigger truck. Another great video.🛻🚚🚚
Oil cans and original tubs and table! I would like to get some of those.
Great video. I LOVE DIGGING THROUGH STUFF!!!!
That limestone building was my WAY favorite part of the video.
Thank you for doing your best to save the old trucks/Americana on wheels(at least partly on wheels).
That Blue international Double Cab. Back in year 1975’ our Forestry crew rode in one of those up in Plumas’ National Forest planting Trees🇺🇸 lotta cool stuff scattered in and around those buildings too!
Thanks Silas, you can't really turn them down at that price! Just arts and parts would be a good name for your store! (and it's great that you are advertising fronts for sale!).
There’s some cool old gear there !
Good luck Silas and I hope that you have a great evening and a great day tomorrow.
Glad to see you get so many cool old rigs. Amazing how they just left so many of them and like when they died is where they left them.
Several good ole trucks in there ye got..I'd have to get a few of em back running
Got a lot done, fun to watch.
What's scrap to you is a treasure to others who are capable of repairing them.
We both said "hoarder" at the same time when you walked into that building. Hehe.
Another great score
Wonderful Job again!
I love that black Ford truck
My dad had a 1970? International crew cab! Seeing the blue one brought back some good memories!! Love your videos!!!
I asked my husband what doesn't belong on this GMC? He said the bed. I said, "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" I actually learned to drive in a 1956 GMC pickup. It had that back wrap around glass. I guess that is what you called it. Nice to see you Silas and company.
Wow Silas you got some pretty good deals in this auction. High 5. I really enjoyed the part where you were loading up. You are an ace at moving things and loading them.
Agreed 🖒
@@vet-7174 It's too bad Silas couldn't have gotten those vehicles (blazers) out of the woods. The door could have been saved.
Would love to see some old military trucks if you run across any
Great video love the old chev trucks
That yellow thing is intriguing.
I regret not buying it. It sold for $10 for scrap
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch The "doodlebug" at 4:31 of the video, I believe that is from an airport for moving aircraft or something related to that type of industry (luggage trailers, etc) And I gotta admit Silas that since I first started watching your channel how much my opinion has changed. At first I thought some of the vehicles that you "saved" should have been scraped. But seeing how many of there that you have resold and gone on to new homes/lives is fantastic! Good job!!
Awesome video!!! I freaked out when I saw those bicycle ram handle bars I had a set just like em back in the early 80s! 😮👍💯
Congrats on all Your Cool Auction Trucks - You will have some FUN with them - yes - it was sooooo very Interesting Indeed - that Auction had Tons of Trucks - Cars - Farm Machinery and Equipment and lots of Scrap Metal - the Buildings must had the Odd Treasure hidden - well NOT enough Time to go through everything ! I enjoyed the Video very much and many Cheers from Australia - this was Quit an Adventure !!!!
Yeah that’s a cool building!😊
My favorite is the blue International crew cab pickup.
Dude you are living my dream 😂👍🏻🏴👍🏻
Ty silas God bless you
You got some cool old trucks !
That old 54 International truck brings memories, a 1954 IH pickup was my first vehicle. Learned to drive in it too.
I tried to keep up with you. You are one heck of a working man. You see what you can make slicing and dicing!!!! Good for you!
Great video of the auction. The club cab Dodge got my attention 👍👍
International crew cab is pretty cool!
Nice tour and sale.! I'm a Ford 1950 era F series. Kinda have little sweet spot IH KB series.Loyal follower!
I live in SW Ks use to be a lot of cool old trucks out here. I owed a 54 and 53 Chevy 1/2 ton pickups the 54 had the cab corner windows' I still have a set of cab corner windows. My Dad went High School in Dighton in the early 60s Ks great show.
Ain't it great to have friends with trailers? 😁
love the videos keep the good work up silas
For a guy who said in the beginning it was all rust..you sure bought a lot of it!
😂
I like them all
Amazed at how much old stuff still exists
Looks like a airport Tug for moving the bags to the plane
Ooooh, that was old C10 was a sleeper bargain. That's a '67 or '68, the only years that had the leading edge of the hood raked back, as the designer intended. After that it was redesigned with the leading edge nearly vertical. Those early year models are coveted.
Great video. 😉😉
Fun one
Love seeing them old trucks, especially the international 's
Thanks for the sale video. I liked your loader work loading everything up specially speeding the video up makes for a will show thanks.
The crew cab international was my favorite 😊😊👍👍
IH Life💪
@@g.o.b.2558 I have been looking for a double cab for a long time!!! Just the cab and doors 🚪 👍👍👍
Love the classics!
$800 for that blue international!! Beautiful!!!!! You rock man. Tons of cool stuff.
I never knew wanted a front end loader until now!
Another awesome video! Good job
The yellow thing with the square cab is an old airport tug. Usually a low gear ratio with powerful engine.
Would LOVE to have been there!
Blue GMC is a beautiful one.
It sold fairly quickly
Could use a good wood and coal burner! A ham radio would be nice also.
That fore door Binder I'd really neat !
Wow, what a hoarder’s stash! Glad you found some good things out of that mess.
Great scores, tho it looked like auction day was a long one for you.
Personal favorite is actually the blue IH Travellette, even though it's really rough - good thing it came with extra weight inside(ha).
Definitely more nose art vids coming!
It's great amount of inventory as well as the ability for a decent profit.
People are good sometimes when you talk them up nicely, they can help you, or they can burn you. I went to an auction years ago and i knew the scrapper so i was able to get what i wanted for less than what they paid for on the other junk there
I would love to be able to go to a auction like that, Sadly The area i live has already been picked clean.
Cool rides always 😎
Really i would have to say that i liked a good majority of them fore sure i love the old trucks...Thanks.
Thanks for a great video. Makes me a little bit sad to see a home busted up inside, see it here in Sweden too.
The -64 chevy was so cheap,it did run. Find of the auction according to me.
Wow! I would have loved to grab that blue International crew cab for a project truck!! Well done Silas!
the 64 chevy looks good best car you got
Thanks Silas. Enjoyed the video.
Man that looked like fun.
This is hard, dirty work but there's money in that junk for sure. You've got a work ethic that would be pretty tough to beat.
